Description
The HP 350 Wall Mount Kit securely mounts the HP 350 to flat surfaces, such as a wall or
ceiling, and is also compatible with single and dual gang wall boxes.

Installation
Complete the following steps to install your access point using the HP 350 AP Wall Mount
Kit.
lTo install the HP 350 Mount Kit on a flat surface, see Installing the mount housing on a
flat surface on page 3.
lTo install the HP 350 Mount Kit onto a wall box, see Installing the mount housing onto
a wall box on page 6.
Installing the mount housing on a flat surface
1. Hold the paper template included with this mount kit against the surface where you
want to installthe mounting bracket, and mark the location of the screw holes.
2. Drill holes at the points indicated.
3. Install wall anchors if necessary. Wall anchors are not included in this kit.
4. Align the screw holes in the mounting bracket with the previously installed wall anchors
or marked drill holes and secure into place. See Figure 1.

5. (Optional) Remove the RJ-45 cable adapters from their bag, match the female
connectors to the tracks at the upper corners of the mount housing as shown in Figure
2. The adapter is secured when it clicks into place.

6. Route the Ethernet and optional power cord, if using, through the bottom-right
opening of the housing and guide through the top right opening at the back of the
housing. See Figure 3.

7. Proceed to Inserting the mounting bracket into the housing on page 8.
Installing the mount housing onto a wall box
1. Route the Ethernet cable from the wall box and through top-right opening in the back
of the mount housing, as indicated in Figure 3.

2. Align the screw holes on the back of the mount housing with the corresponding holes
on the wall box, and then attach the housing using the #6 machine screws.
The #6 machine screws do not fit all wallboxes.
Inserting the mounting bracket into the housing
1. Align the mounting bracket with the release button at the bottom, and then route the
Ethernet cable through the top right opening of the mounting bracket. See Figure 5.

2. Route the optional power cord, if using, through the top left opening of the mounting
bracket.
3. (Optional) to use the RJ-45 cable adapters, route one cable through the upper-right
opening in the bracket, and then place the unused cable in the space between the
housing and mounting bracket.
4. Press the mounting bracket into the housing, and then secure it using the pan head
screws.
Attaching the HP 350 to the mounting bracket
1. Plug the Ethernet cable and optional power cord, if using, into the corresponding ports
on the back of the HP 350.
2. Orient the HP 350 so the mounting pins are horizontal, and align with the slots on the
mounting bracket. See Figure 6.
3. Press and hold the release button at the bottom of the mounting bracket, slide the pins
on the back of the HP 350 into the mounting bracket, then release the button to secure
the HP 350 onto the mounting bracket.

4. (Optional) To use the RJ-45 cable adapter, plug the Ethernet cable into the active port
on the side of the mounting kit.
Installing the T8 Torx security screw
5. Insert the T8 Torx security screw into the hole at the bottom of the mount (to the right
of the release button), and tighten.
