1 Introduction and safety regulations
1.1 General
This workshop manual gives a full description of how to
do troubleshooting, repair and test of the lawn mower. It
also gives safety instructions that the personnel must
obey during repair work.
1.2 Revisions
If there are changes to the product, these are gradually
introduced into ongoing production. These changes can
have an effect on servicing and/or spare parts. This can
cause sections of the workshop manual to become out of
date. Servicing information is sent out for each change.
To make sure that the repair and servicing instructions
are complete and up to date, always read the workshop
manual together with all servicing information applicable
for the lawn mower.
1.3 Target group
This workshop manual is written for personnel with a
general knowledge of how to repair and do servicing on
lawn mowers.
All personnel that repair or do servicing on the lawn
mower must read and understand the workshop manual.
1.4 Safety instructions
WARNING: All personnel that repair or do
servicing on the lawn mower must read and
understand the safety instructions.
Warning symbols can be found in this workshop manual
and on the lawn mower. Refer to “1.5 Symbols on the
product”.
1.4.1 General safety instructions
The service center that repairs the lawn mower must
have safety devices that comply with local regulations.
Warnings and cautions are used to point out specially
important parts of the workshop manual.
WARNING: Used if there is a risk of injury
or death if the instructions are not followed.
CAUTION: Used if there is a risk of material
damage if the instructions are not followed.
1.4.2 Special safety instructions
When you use compressed air, do not point the air jet in
the direction of your body. Air can go into the blood
circulation and kill you.
Use eye protection when you do work on springs that
have tension.
Use only a Husqvarna Battery Series type of battery with
this product. The Husqvarna battery BLi200 is
recommended. Obey the safety instructions that are
given for the battery and battery charger.
Do not use accessories and/or do changes
that are not approved by the manufacturer.
This can cause injury or death to the
operator or other persons.
WARNING: Always use original spare parts
and accessories.
WARNING: Use approved hearing protec-
tion. Noise from the product can result in
permanent hearing loss.

1.5 Symbols on the product
Careless or incorrect use of this product can
result in serious or fatal injury to the operator
or others.
Read the operator’s manual and make sure
that you understand the instructions before
you use this product.
Keep persons and animals at a safe distance
from the work area.
Look out for thrown objects and ricochets.
Warning: rotating blade. Keep hands and
feet clear.

2 Delivery and service

2.1 Service schedule
Descriptions of the maintenance below are found in the operator’s manual.

Delivery and service
6. Put the cables around the hook at the bottom of the
handle.
2.2.2 To adjust the handle height
7. Loosen the lower knobs.
8. Remove the knob, washer and screw.
9. The handle can be set to 2 different heights. Put the
xing screw in one of the 2 holes to adjust the handle
to correct height.
10. Attach the screw, the washer and the knob.
11. Move the knobs up in the direction of the handle until
they stop and a click is heard. Tighten the knobs
fully.
2.2 Assembly and function test
2.2.1 To assemble the handle
1. Put the tubular construction of the handlebar
opposite the lower part of the handlebar.
2. Put the bolts into the lower pipe in the handle.
3. Align one of the holes for the bolts with the holes in
the handle.
4. Attach the bolts and the knobs. Tighten the knobs
fully.
5. Attach the cables to the handle with the enclosed
cable holders.
CAUTION: Do not overstretch the cables
when you assemble the handle. If the
tension in a cable is too high, the cable can
get damaged if the handle is folded to
transport position.

2.2.3 To assemble the grass catcher
1. Remove the 2 transportation covers on the grass
catcher. Push the covers forward/downward as
illustrated.
2. Put the edging strip of the grass catcher bag into the
groove around the top cover and press on the strip to
the end.
3. Attach the 3 snap fasteners around the bar of the top
cover.
4. Attach the hooks in the top edge of the chassis.
2.2.4 To assemble the mulching-kit
1. Lift up the rear deector and remove the grass
catcher.
2. Put the mulch plug into the grass catcher channel.
Model A is for LC 141Li and LC 141C. Model B is for
LC 141VLi.
3. Close the rear deector.
4. Replace the blade with the combi blade supplied in
the mulching-kit.
2.3 Function test of LC 141VLi/
LC 141Li
2.3.1 To start and stop the motor
1. Put in a charged battery and press it down until you
hear a click sound.
2. Turn the safety key to 1.

3. Press the ON/OFF button (1). Make sure that the
green LED (2) comes on.
4. Push the motor brake handle down and make sure
that the start inhibitor prevents start of the motor.
5. Loosen the start inhibitor.
6. Push the motor brake handle down. Make sure that
the blade starts to rotate.
7. Release the motor brake handle and make sure that
the blade stops.
8. Press the ON/OFF button (1). Make sure that the
green LED (2) goes off.
2.3.2 To do a test of the SavE function
1. Do steps 1-6 under “2.3.1 To start and stop the
motor”.
2. Press the SavE button (1). The LED (2) comes on
and you can hear that the rpm of the blade lowers.
3. Press the SavE button again.
4. The LED goes off and the rpm of the blade rises.
2.3.3 Speed control (LC 141 VLi)
1. Do steps 1-3 under “2.3.1 To start and stop the
motor”.
2. Pull the propulsion bar in the direction of the handle
to start the drive.
3. Press the + and - next to the symbols for fast and
slow.
4. Make sure that the speed increases when you press
+ and decreases when you press -.
5. Make sure that 1 speed indicator light comes on for
each increase of the speed.
6. Make sure that 1 speed indicator light goes off for
each decrease of the speed.

2.4 Function test of LC 141C
2.4.1 To select an approved cable
Note: For the UK market, use only the 16M extension
cable that comes with the product. For all other markets,
refer to the information below.
If extension cables are used, these must agree with the
minimum cross-sections in the table below:

Only use extension cables that are specially made for
outdoor operation and that agree with one of the
specications that follow: Ordinary rubber (60245 IEC
53), Ordinary PVC (60227 IEC 53) or Ordinary PCP
(60245 IEC 57).
2.4.2 To start and stop the motor
1. Connect a power cord to the socket below the
handle.
2. Put the power cord in the power cord holder.
3. Push the motor brake handle down and make sure
that the start inhibitor prevents start of the motor.

4. Loosen the start inhibitor.
5. and push the motor brake handle down. Make sure
that the blade starts to rotate.
6. Release the motor brake handle and make sure that
the blade stops.

3 Design and function
3.1 Serial number
3.1.1 Type plate/Product serial number
The product serial number is given on the type plate.
Stated on the plate, from the top, is the information that
follows:
• Model name
• Article number
• Weight
• Product serial number
Please provide model name and article number when
you send an order for spare parts.
3.2 Motor
The battery powered models LC 141VLi and LC 141Li
have a BLDC (brushless) 36V motor.
The corded model LC 141C has a Series AC Motor.
3.3 Drive (LC 141VLi)
The drive on LC 141Vli is a 36V DC GT. The speed can
be set in 4 levels. The speed range is 3.0-4.5 km/h.
3.4 Cutting equipment
The LC 141 models can be used with a standard blade
together with a grass catcher, or with an optional
mulching-kit.

CAUTION: The plastic in the motor cover is sensitive. Do not tighten screws that go into plastic
parts with a torque of more than 2 Nm.

4.2 To replace the blade
WARNING: Before you start, turn the safety
key to 0, remove safety key, remove the
battery and wait a minimum of 5 seconds.
WARNING: The blade is sharp and can
cause cuts. Put on protective gloves.
1. Remove the blade screw and the washers.
2. Remove the blade. Make sure that the blade bracket
and the blade screw are free of damage, and that the
motor shaft is not bent.
3. Attach the new blade with the angled ends in the
direction of the cover.
4. Make sure that the blade aligns with the center of the
shaft.
5. Attach the washers and the blade screw and tighten
with a torque of 20 Nm.
6. Pull the blade around by hand and make sure that it
rotates freely.
7. Do a function test of the product.
4.3 To remove and attach the motor
cover
WARNING: Before you start, turn the safety
key to 0, remove safety key, remove the
battery and wait a minimum of 5 seconds.
1. Put the product down on its side.
2. Remove the blade, see “4.2 To replace the blade”.
3. For LC 141VLI, remove the 3 screws that hold the
transmission cover and lift it off.

4. Remove the 12 screws that hold the motor cover.
5. Put the product back in upright position.
6. Lift off the motor cover. Disconnect the cables to fully
remove the motor cover.
7. To put the motor cover back, rst connect the cables.
8. Put the product down on its side.
9. Tighten the screws in the motor cover and the black
plastic cover (LC 141VLi) with a torque of 1.5-2 Nm.
4.4 To replace the battery connection
harness
WARNING: Before you start, turn the safety
key to 0, remove safety key, remove the
battery and wait a minimum of 5 seconds.
1. Remove the motor cover and disconnect the cables.
See “4.3 To remove and attach the motor cover”
2. Disconnect the cables (A) between the battery
connection harness and the transmission control
(LC 141VLi)/relay.
3. Disconnect the 2 red cables (B) between the battery
connection harness and the pressing plate of the
safety key switch.
4. Remove the 2 screws and lift the battery connection
harness out.
5. Replace with a new battery connection harness in
the opposite sequence.
6. Attach one of the red cables on the battery
connection harness, to the right socket on the
pressing plate of the safety key switch.
7. Attach the other red cable on the battery connection
harness, to the left socket on the pressing plate of
the safety key switch.
8. Tighten the screws with a torque of 1.5-2 Nm.

4.5 To replace the motor
WARNING: Before you start, turn the safety
key to 0, remove safety key, remove the
battery and wait a minimum of 5 seconds.
WARNING: To prevent injury, obey the
warning symbols on the motor.
1. Remove the blade, see “4.2 To replace the blade”.
2. Remove the motor cover and disconnect the cables.
See “4.3 To remove and attach the motor cover”
3. Disconnect the cables from the motor.
4. Remove the 4 screws that hold the motor and lift the
motor out.
5. Replace with a new motor in the opposite sequence.
6. Tighten the screws with a torque of 1.5-2 Nm.
4.6 To replace the motor controller
unit
WARNING: Before you start, turn the safety
key to 0, remove safety key, remove the
battery and wait a minimum of 5 seconds.
1. Disconnect the cables from the motor controller unit.
2. Remove the 3 screws that hold the motor controller
unit and lift it out. Make sure the washers stay on the
screws.
3. Replace with a new motor controller unit in the
opposite sequence.
4. Tighten the screws with a torque of 1.5-2 Nm.
4.7 To remove the wheels
WARNING: Before you start, turn the safety
key to 0, remove safety key, remove the
battery and wait a minimum of 5 seconds.
1. Remove the hub cap with a screwdriver.
2. Remove the center nut and the wheel.

4.8 To replace the transmission
(LC 141VLi)
WARNING: Before you start, turn the safety
key to 0, remove safety key, remove the
battery and wait a minimum of 5 seconds.
1. Remove the wheels from the rear axle.
2. Remove the e-clip in front of the gear with a
screwdriver.
3. Remove the spring washer from the wheel axle.
4. Pull the gear off.
5. Pull the wheel cover off.
6. Remove the e-clip on the transmission shaft with a
screwdriver.
7. Remove the screw that holds the rear end of the
connecting rod.
8. Carefully lift off the connecting rod.
9. Remove the 2 screws from the guide plate.
10. Remove the 2 bolts and nuts from the rear axle xing
plates on the left side of the product.
11. Remove the 2 bolts and nuts from the rear axle xing
plates on the right side of the product. Move the
cutting height lever to get access to the screws.
12. Tilt the transmission and rear axle to get access to
the connection cable.
13. Disconnect the cable and lift the transmission and
rear axle out.

14. Remove the screw to the height adjustment lever.
15. Remove the large e-clip (A) on the inside of the
height adjustment lever with a screwdriver.
16. Remove the large e-clip (B) in front of the washer
with a screwdriver.
17. Pull the bearing cover off on both sides of the
transmission shaft to separate the transmission from
the wheel axle.
18. Replace with a new transmission in the opposite
sequence.
Note: Make sure that the large e-clips on each end of the
transmission shaft are put back in front of the washer
and height adjustment lever.
19. Tighten the screws and nuts with a torque of
5-10 Nm.
Note: The rear axle xing plates have different colors to
make sure that they are not mixed up. Attach the black
rear axle xing plates on the outer side of the chassis.

4.9 To replace the transmission
control (LC 141VLi)
WARNING: Before you start, turn the safety
key to 0, remove safety key, remove the
battery and wait a minimum of 5 seconds.
1. Remove the motor cover and disconnect the cables.
See “4.3 To remove and attach the motor cover”
2. Disconnect the cable between the transmission
control and the battery connection harness.
3. Remove the 3 screws that hold the transmission
control and lift it out.
4. Replace with a new transmission control in the
opposite sequence.
5. Tighten the screws with a torque of 1.5-2 Nm.

4.10 To replace the relay (LC 141Li)
WARNING: Before you start, turn the safety
key to 0, remove safety key, remove the
battery and wait a minimum of 5 seconds.
1. Remove the motor cover and disconnect the cables.
See “4.3 To remove and attach the motor cover”
2. Disconnect the cable between the relay and the
battery connection harness.
3. Remove the 2 screws that hold the relay and lift it
out.
4. Replace with a new relay in the opposite sequence.
5. Tighten the screws with a torque of 1.5-2 Nm.
4.11 To replace the handle
WARNING: Before you start, turn the safety
key to 0, remove safety key, remove the
battery and wait a minimum of 5 seconds.
1. Remove the motor cover. See “4.3 To remove and
attach the motor cover”.
2. Remove the 2 screws from the cable entry,
3. Remove the bracket and carefully lift out the cables.
4. Disconnect the cables to the handle.
5. Pull the cables from the hook at the bottom of the
handle.
6. Remove the cable holders.
7. Remove the knobs and bolts.
8. Replace with a new handle in opposite sequence.
9. Tighten the screws in the cable entry with a torque of
1.5-2 Nm.

4.12 To replace the safety key switch
WARNING: Before you start, turn the safety
key to 0, remove safety key, remove the
battery and wait a minimum of 5 seconds.
1. Remove the motor cover and disconnect the cables.
See “4.3 To remove and attach the motor cover”.
2. Remove the 2 screws that hold the pressing plate of
the safety key switch, on the inside of the motor
cover.
3. Replace the defective safety key switch. Make sure
that the new safety switch is put in the correct
position.
WARNING: Do not put the safety key switch
in the opposite direction. This causes the
safety key to not operate correctly which
can cause injury or death.
