1 Introduction
1.1 Document description
This manual gives a full description of how to do
maintenance and repair on the product. It also gives
safety instructions that the personnel must obey.
1.2 Target group
This manual is for personnel with a general knowledge
of how to do repair and do servicing. All personnel that
do repair or do servicing on the product must read and
understand the manual.
1.3 Revisions
Changes to the product can cause changes to the
maintenance work and spare parts. Separate
information is sent out for each change.
Read the manual together with all received information
about changes to maintenance and spare parts for the
product.
1.4 Safety
WARNING: All personnel that repair or do
servicing on the product must read and
understand the safety instructions in this
workshop manual.

2 Safety
2.1 Safety definitions
Warnings, cautions and notes are used to point out
specially important parts of the manual.
WARNING: Used if there is a risk of injury or
death for the operator or bystanders if the
instructions in the manual are not obeyed.
CAUTION: Used if there is a risk of damage to
the product, other materials or the adjacent area
if the instructions in the manual are not obeyed.
Note: Used to give more information that is necessary in
a given situation.
2.2 General safety instructions
WARNING: Read the warning instructions that
follow before you use the product.
The service center that repairs the product must have
safety devices that obey local regulations. Warnings and
cautions are used to point out specially important parts
of the workshop manual.
2.3 Grounded product instructions
WARNING: Incorrect connection can result in
electrical shock. Speak to an approved
electrician if you are not sure if the product is
correctly grounded.
Do not do modifications to the power plug from
its factory specification. If the power plug is not
correct for the mains outlet, let an approved
electrician install a correct mains outlet. Obey
local regulations and laws.
If you do not fully understand the instructions
about the grounded product, speak to an
approved electrician.
The product has a grounded power cord and power
plug. Always connect the product to a grounded mains
outlet. This decreases the risk of electrical shock if there
is a malfunction.
Do not use electrical adapters with the product.
2.4 Symbols on the product
Please read the operator’s manual
carefully and make sure you understand
the instructions before using the product.
Always use an approved breathing mask.
Always use approved ear protection.
Always use approved eye protection.
2.5 Safety instructions for maintenance
• Make sure that the ON/OFF switch is in the OFF
position.
• Disconnect the product from the power supply.
• Only use original spare parts.
• Use personal protective equipment.
• Do not use a high-pressure washer to clean the
product. Water can go into the product and do
damage to the electrical system. Use a moist cloth
to clean the product.
• The servicing procedures cause contamination.
Dispose all servicing equipment correctly in plastic
bags after servicing. Refer to local regulations.

3 Prepare and do servicing on the product
3.1 Maintenance schedule
The maintenance intervals are calculated from daily use
of the product. The intervals change if the product is not
used daily.

3.2 To clean the product
• Clean the external surface with a moist cloth.
• Clean the product in an applicable location.
• Do not use water on electrical components.
• Do not clean the product with high pressure air or
water.

5 Function overview
5.1 Type plate/Product serial number
The product serial number is given on the type plate.
Supply the model name and the article number when
you send an order for spare parts.

6 Troubleshooting
6.1 Troubleshooting schedule
Problem Cause Solution
The motor does not start.
There is no power supply. Connect the product to a power
source.
The power cord is defective. Replace the power cord.
The ON/OFF switch is defective. Replace the ON/OFF switch.
The soft start unit is defective. Replace soft start unit.
The motor stops immediately af-
ter you start the product.
There is an incorrect fuse. Connect to correct fuse.
There is short circuit in a cable or the product. Do servicing on the product.
The motor operates but there is
no suction.
The hose is not connected. Connect the hose.
The hose is clogged or blocked. Clean the hose.
There is no dust bag. Install a dust bag.
The motor operates but unsatis-
factory suction.
The hose is damaged. Replace the hose.
The filter is clogged. Clean the filter or replace the fil-
ter.
The top cover is loose. Adjust the top cover.
There is dirt on the lid at the bottom of the con-
tainer.
Clean the lid at the bottom of the
container.
The gaskets are defective. Replace the defective gaskets.
Dust is blown from the motor. The filter system is incorrectly assembled or
damaged.
Adjust or replace the filters.
Unusual noise. Do servicing on the product.

8 Repair instructions
8.1 To clean and examine the product parts
• Clean and examine all parts fully. You find more
instructions in the chapter for each part if special
tools or procedures are necessary.
• Replace damaged or defective parts.
• Always use original spare parts.
8.2 Top cover
8.2.1 To remove the top cover
1. Remove the hoses from the top cover.
2. Unlock the 3 clamps.
3. Remove the top cover.
8.2.2 To remove the jet pulse cleaning kit
1. Remove the 3 screws and rivets on the top cover to
get access to the jet pulse cleaning kit.
2. Remove the bolt and nut to remove the jet pulse
cleaning kit.
8.2.3 To clean and examine the top cover and the
jet pulse cleaning kit
1. Examine the top cover for cracks.
2. Make sure that the jet pulse cleaning kit operates
correctly.
3. Remove dust from the top cover with a moist cloth.
4. Replace decals that are damaged.
8.2.4 To install the top cover
• Install the top cover in the opposite sequence to
To
remove the top cover on page 17 .
8.2.5 To install the jet pulse cleaning kit
• Install the jet pulse cleaning kit in the opposite
sequence to To remove the jet pulse cleaning kit on
page 17 .
8.3 Prefilter and HEPA filter
8.3.1 To replace the HEPA filter
WARNING: Use approved protective gloves
when you replace the HEPA filter.
WARNING: Make sure that there are no holes in
the HEPA filter. Holes in the HEPA filter can
cause a health risk.

CAUTION: Do not clean a HEPA filter. This
causes damage to the HEPA filter.
CAUTION: Make sure to not touch the inner
surface of the HEPA filter. This cause damage
to the HEPA filter.
1. Loosen the nuts on the filter covers. Remove the
HEPA filter covers.
2. Carefully lift the HEPA filters into a clean plastic bag.
3. Dispose the plastic bag correctly. Refer to local
regulations.
4. Install a new HEPA filter.
5. Install the HEPA filter covers.
8.3.2 To replace the prefilter
WARNING: Use approved protective gloves
when you replace the prefilter.
1. Remove the filter caps.
2. Remove the top cover. Refer to To remove the top
cover on page 17 .
3. Carefully lift the prefilter into a clean plastic bag.
4. Dispose the plastic bag correctly. Refer to local
regulations.
5. Install a new prefilter in the container.
6. Install the top cover. Refer to
To install the top cover
on page 17 .
8.3.3 To clean the prefilter
CAUTION: Do not hit or drag items across the
prefilter surface. The prefilter can be damaged.
CAUTION: Do not use water to clean the
prefilter.
• Clean the prefilter in applicable area.
• Clean the prefilter before you change the dust bag
or when the operation is completed.
• Clean the prefilter when it is unsatisfactory suction.
• To clean the prefilter with an external dust extractor,
do these steps:
a) Remove the top cover. Refer to To remove the
top cover on page 17 .
b) Lift out the prefilter.
c) Clean the outer surface of the prefilter. Install a
soft brush on the external dust extractor to
prevent damage to the prefilter.

• To clean the prefilter with jet pulse cleaning kit, do
these steps:
a) Start the product.
b) Close the inlet valve to seal the inlet.
c) Wait for 5 seconds for the product to make a
vacuum.
d) Push and hold the arm to the jet pulse cleaning
kit for 5 seconds.
e) Wait for 5 seconds again, and then push and
hold the arm to the jet pulse cleaning kit for 5
seconds. Do this step again and again until you
have pushed the jet pulse cleaning kit 5 times.
• Replace the prefilter if the suction does not become
better when you clean the prefilter. Refer to To
replace the prefilter on page 18 .
8.4 Container
8.4.1 To remove the container
1. Remove the top cover. Refer to
To remove the top
cover on page 17 .
2. Remove the prefilter. Refer to To replace the
prefilter on page 18 .
3. Remove the Longopac dust bag.
4. Loosen the screws that hold the container to the
frame.
5. Remove the container from the frame.
8.4.2 To clean and examine the container
1. Examine the container for damage.
2. Make sure that the bottom lid opens and closes
correctly.
3. Remove dust from the container with a moist cloth.
4. Replace decals that are damaged.
8.4.3 To install the container
• Install the container in the opposite sequence to To
remove the container on page 19 .
8.5 Motor box
8.5.1 To disconnect the circuit board (S 13)
1. Remove the HEPA filter, refer to To replace the
HEPA filter on page 17 .
2. Remove the motor tube gasket.
3. Remove the 8 screws and remove the motor
housing.

4. Remove the manometer tube.
5. Remove the 3 nuts and remove the motor tube.
6. Disconnect the cables from the circuit board for the
part that is necessary to remove.

a) To disconnect the circuit board (A), remove all
the cables from the circuit board.
b) To disconnect the ON/OFF switch (B), remove
the cables from the ON/OFF switch.
c) To disconnect the power cord (C), remove the
brown (D) and blue (E) cables from the ON/OFF
switch (B) and the ground cable (F).
d) To disconnect the motor, remove the ground
cable (G) and the black (H) and white cable (I)
that are attached to the circuit board.
8.5.2 To replace the ON/OFF switch
1. Remove the motor tube. Refer to To disconnect the
circuit board (S 13) on page 19 .
2. Make a note of the positions of the cables on the
ON/OFF switch.
3. Disconnect all the cables from the ON/OFF switch.
4. Push the ON/OFF switch out of the socket.
5. Connect the cables to the new ON/OFF switch.
