General
All equipment should be thoroughly
examined for shipping damage before and
during unloading.
This equipment has been carefully
inspected at our factory and the carrier
has assumed responsability for safe
arrival.If damage ,either apparent or
concealed,claim must be made to the
carrier.

Concealed Loss or Damage
When loss or damage is not apparent until
after equipment is uncrated ,claim for
concealed damage is made. Upon
discovering damage ,make request in
writing to carrier for inspection within 15
days and retain all packing .The carrier
will supply inspection report and required
claim forms
1.1 SHIPPING DAMAGE
Location
These merchandisers are designed for
indoor operation with arecommended
operating room ambient temp .of 65 ºF
(18 ºC)/50 % RH to 90 ºF(32 ºC)/65%
RH. Their Performance is affected by store
air currents when the doors are open.Do
Not allow air conditioning ,electric fans ,
or opened doors and windows to create air
currents around these merchandisers nor
should they be exposed to direct sunlight
or other heat sources.
NOTE:
The condensing unit draws ambient air
through the front of the unit and
discharges hot air out the rear of the unit .
In order to maintain proper refrigerator
performance and compressor life ,a
minimun space of 4”(10 cm) must be
maintained between the refrigerator and
surrounding surfaces.

Leveling Cabinet
This merchandiser must be installed
leveled (from back and end to end )to
allow maximun draining of the condensate
water as well as proper door aligment and
operation.
The merchandiser has been shipped with
adjustable cabinet levelers installed and
adjustment can be made if required.
Shelf instalation
After the cabinet has been leveled and is in
its final position,the shelves may be
installed.There are two differents shelves,
one of them is asolid shelf,this must be
placed on the botton next to the back.
Others shelves may be installed,Shelf
spacing is adjustable by positioning the
shelf clips according to your loading
requirements.

Door Seal
Hinge doors .Check to ensure the door
torque is capable of closing the door
automatically.Open the door 45 degrees
and relase it ,the door should close and
seal.
To adjust the torque ,placea wrench on
each of the 2nuts located on the botton
hinge.Hold the top wrench firmly and lose
the botton nut .Torque is increased or
decrease by rotating the top nut .After
adjustment has been made, Tighten the
botton nut.
Lamps
This merchandiser does not have Lighting
switch,Interior lamps are eqipped with a
plastic shield ,be sure the shield is
installed properly.

4.1 REFRIGERATION SYSTEM
Definition
All upright merchandisers are equipped
with ahermetic or semi -hermetic
compressor.The condenser is fin and tube
construction.The air is taken in the front-
down of the cabinet and discharged out by
the front down of the cabinet.(see fig.1)
The temperature control is located inside
the all in one unit.(see fig.1 A).
Others merchandisers with 2doors,have
two condenser units ,their function is
different than merchandisers with one
door.
They use an special system so that both
units work at the same times, only during
the first day ,after that ,they will work
alternating day by day.
Clean condensing every month.

The temperature control is located on the
condensing unit on the wall , For these
merchandisers the control set at number 4
position will mantain product temparature
in a range of 36 ºF to 42 ºF(2.2ºC to 5.5
ºC) .
The control is adjustable by runinig the
dial one number at clockwise to obtain
colder temperatures . Turn it
counterclockwise to obtain warmer
temparatures.
Temperature control
Lighting
Interior light and lighted sign remain on
all time. An electronic ballast is locate on
the top or on condensing unit.
Defrost Water Evaporation
External drain plumbing is not required .
Behind the cooling unit housing cover ,
there is a tray for gathering and directing
defrost water from the evaporator coil to
condensing unit area , it serves as a
reservoir for the storage of the water until
it is evaporatored by a hot gas loop from
the compressor.
5.1 START UP /OPERATION
Electrical Supply
Wiring of the unit is complete when it is
shipped form the factory .The unit is
supplied with athree conductor electrical
cord wich extends from the rear of the
unit.Plug the unit into correct grounded
outlet.It is recommended that a separate
circuit be run for each cabinet to prevent
the posibility of another appliance blowing
afuse,causing subsequent loss of product.
