Statutory Obligations
This limited warranty must be read subject to any statutory provisions that imply warranties or conditions
into this Limited Warranty that cannot be excluded, restricted or modified except to limited extend. If
such statutory provisions apply, to the extent to which Geob International is able to do so, its liability
under those provisions will be limited, at its option to, in the case of goods; the replacement of the goods,
or the supply of equivalent goods, the repair of the goods, the payment of the cost of replacing the goods

Description of the product
Hypoband (patent pending) is an intelligent Bluetooth interface; smartphone device that measures cold
sweat. It works on Android and triggers for help via a phone call or short message service (SMS) when
the threshold limits are met or the panic button is activated. It also has a standalone alarm mode.
Important : For indoor use only and non- water resistance.

USER MANUAL
Chapter 1: How to use the Hypoband
Important Notice :-
Download and install the Hypoband App from Google play store.
Always ensure Bluetooth pairing is established between the Hypoband and smartphone, all the
time during use. See the LED lighting for guidelines.
Always ensure that the Hypoband and smartphone is fully charged prior to use.
Ensure that the Hypoband is launched and the display of Relative Humidity (RH) and
Temperature is displayed on the smartphone screen before going on sleep mode.
Kindly take note that Bluetooth range is typically within a10meter radius coverage. Do not use
the Hypoband exceeding this range from the smartphone.
Ensure that the Hypoband is worn securely on the wrist. Temperature of the skin is typically
32OC ±2, any readings dissimilar to this could mean, it is not worn properly.
Hypoband works as a cold sweat alarm that is paired to an Android smartphones.

First time set-up for your Hypoband (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=salukS5FMxc)
1.1 Download and Install the Hypoband App from Play Store or from the Hypoband website
1.1 Press and Hold the ON/OFF button for 5 seconds till you see a flickering red color
1.2 Wait for a few seconds for the blue LED light to start blinking
1.3 Once the blue LED light start blinking, press and hold the ON/OFF button for around 6 seconds
to engage into pairing mode. (Or press until 2 round of red blinking light)
1.4 You will then, see the LED light to be in alternating Blue and Red
1.5 Now go to the Bluetooth setup under your smartphone
1.6 Make sure the Bluetooth is ON
1.7 Next scan for device.
1.8 You will see “Hypoband” in the scan results.
1.9 Press and hold the Hypoband wording till the option appears.
1.10 Select pair and connect.
For action 1.1 to 1.10, it is done on the first time of pairing the Hypoband to the smartphone. These steps
need not be repeated for future usage of the Hypoband and Smartphone unless you change either one of
the two.
1.11 Trigger the Hypoband App and wait for the Hypoband to pair to the smartphone.
1.12 Once it is paired, the Relative Humidity (sweat level in %) and temp in Degrees Celsius will
appear. ( Figure 2). The blue LED will now blink once every 5 seconds.
1.13 You can now go into the setup mode to set your caller and SMS customizable data, by pressing
“setting: in Figure 2 which will bring you to a new screen (Figure 3)
**Kindly take note that Fever Alarm is
disabled for this model.

Chapter 2: Functionality Description
2.1 The Hypoband is design primarily for Diabetics having Hypoglycemia attacks with cold sweat being
the predominant symptom.
Cold Sweat: "Cold sweat" refers to sudden sweating that doesn't come from heat or exertion.
Cold sweat is the indication of the body's response to stress, called a fight or flight response.
It's very important to recognize cold sweats when providing first aid. Cold sweats can be a sign
of significant injury or illness
2.2 It detects cold sweat by measuring and displaying the temperature and humidity levels of the
skin, whereupon upon the onset of cold sweat, a triggering call/sms or alarm will be made by the
smartphone in which the Hypoband is paired too.
2.3 It comes with a panic button hence may be used for the old, sick and aged in case of an
emergency, be it a fall, burglary, fire, etc, that needs response and aid to be given to them.
“Hypoband detects the skin’s Temperature in degree Celsius and Sweat Levels in Humidity % of the
person wearing it. If it is not worn, then it will be measuring the surroundings or environment”.
2.4 The Hypoband App needs to be pre-installed to the smartphone (Android) prior to using the
Hypoband.
The App has to be launched after the Hypoband is on and paired the smartphone. See 1.2 to 1.11

The smartphone will be making the call, sms or local alarm triggering upon being triggered by the
Hypoband.
Go to www.hypoband.com to download the Hypoband App.
**Caution : The Hypoband cannot work if the smartphone is not pre-installed with the
Hypoband App
The Hypoband has a rechargeable battery which can be charged via the adaptor charger given or can be
charged via a laptop (use the given USB cable). *Always ensure that the unit is charges at all times.
2.5 Fever
Currently this option is disabled.
2.6 Panic or help button
In case of a fall or emergency amongst the patients or aged citizens, the panic
button can be triggered (Press and hold for more than 2 seconds). This will trigger the
Hypoband hence, by- passing the cold sweat detection and directly triggering for help
depending on mode set.
Chapter 3: Troubleshooting
Troubleshooting the Hypoband
If there is no LED signal at all, check whether the Hypoband is turn ON or not.
Also check the battery for power, to make sure, try charging it. Refer to the light indicator
guidelines (LED table illustration)
If the Hypoband is not ON or paired to the smartphone, the App will not work ( an error message
would be shown or the App will “hang” displaying zero reading for Temp and RH %( This is to
prevent wrongly input settings on the Hypoband)
Reset the Hypoband (via the reset button) if the unit is not working. (Tip:Use a blunt pin to reset
the button and do not press too hard)
Alternatively, terminate the android task for the Hypoband App and launch the App again, if the
unit is not working
If the port sensor is too wet and shows 100% RH, allow the moisture to dry before using again.

Troubleshooting Checklist
If you experience difficulties with the RH and TEMP measurement, please read the following before
contacting Geob International (www.hypoband.com) under technical division
1. Is the Hypoband worn correctly? Do not wear the Hypoband too tight or loose; make sure that
your index finger can snug beneath the strap.
2. Is the battery of the Hypoband fully charged? Please see the light indicator guidelines table
3. Is the Hypoband paired to the mobile phone? Please see the light indicator guidelines table
4. Is the mobile phone fully charged? Please ensure your mobile phone is not low in battery
5. The Hypoband does not work? Make sure you have downloaded the Hypoband app to your
smartphone and have paired the Hypoband to it.
6. The Hypoband does not work? Make sure you are within the Bluetooth coverage range of the
Hypoband and the smartphone which is typically 10 meters.
Chapter 4: Maintenance
4.1 The Hypoband is sensitive to water especially the sensor port (7) Do not intentionally let
water in the port.
4.2 Should water enter the sensor port, do not ON the Hypoband, instead leave the unit to dry.
4.3 The casing of the Hypoband is made of medical grade plastics, hence do not use any
alcohol or solvent to clean the body. Just use a damp cloth soaked in plain water will do.
Chapter 5: Safety Precautions
Battery Use and safety
The Hypoband uses a non-removable battery and should only be replaced by the authorized service
facility, and any attempt to remove or replace the battery may damage the product.
Kindly, follow the below guidelines with reference to usage of the Hypoband.
DON’T
Don’t disassemble, crush, puncture, shred or otherwise attempt to change the form of your
battery.
Don’t let the Hypoband come into contact with liquids*. Liquids can get into the unit’s circuitry
leading to corrosion and malfunction.
Don’t place your Hypoband near a heat source*. High temperatures can cause the battery to
swell, leak or malfunction.

Don’t use the Hypoband during swimming, exercising or any conditions where water or excessive
moisture will come into contact with the sensor port.
Don’t leave the Hypoband in your car at high temperatures*.
Don’t drop the Hypoband as dropping it on hard surfaces can potentially cause damage.
* Do contact your service provider if the Hypoband has been damaged by dropping, liquids or high
temperature
Battery Charging
Notes for charging your product’s battery
During charging, keep your battery and charger near room temperature for efficient battery
charging.
New batteries are not fully charged.
New batteries or batteries stored for a long time may take more time to charge.
Hypoband batteries and charging systems have circuitry that protects the battery from damage
from overcharging.
Children
Keep the Hypoband and its accessories away from small children.
These products are not toys and may be hazardous to small children, for example
A choking hazard may exist for small, detachable parts
The charger wire harness and plastic wrapper may cause choking hazard as well to small
children. Please practice caution and proper disposal of plastic wrappers.
Chapter 6: Regulatory Information
You Hypoband are designed to comply with national and international regulatory requirement. For full
compliance statements and details, please refer to the regulatory information in your printed product
guide.
Use and Care
To care for your Hypoband, please observe the following.
Liquids
Don’t expose your Hypoband to water, rain, extreme humidity or other liquids. If it does get wet, leave it
to dry and don’t try to accelerate drying with the use of an over or fryer as it may damage the circuitry.

Extreme hot or cold
Don’t store or use your Hypoband in temperature below -10oC (14oF) or above 60oC (140oF).
Don’t recharge your Hypoband in temperatures below 0oC (32oF) or above 45oC (113oF).
Microwave
Don’t dry your Hypoband in an oven or microwave.
Dust and Dirt
Don’t expose your Hypoband to dust, dirt, sand, food or other inappropriate materials.
Cleaning Solutions
To clean the Hypoband, use only a damp cloth soak in water. Do not use alcohol or other cleaning
solutions or solvents.
Shock and Vibration
Don’t drop the Hypoband.
Protection
To help protect your Hypoband, always make sure that the connector covers are closed and secure
Recycling
Hypoband & Accessories
Please do not dispose the Hypoband or electrical accessories with your household waste, or in a fire.
These items should be disposed of in accordance with the national collection and recycling schemes
operated by your local or regional authority.
Packaging and Product Guidelines
Product packaging and product guides should only be disposed in accordance with national collection and
recycling requirements. Please contact your regional authorities for more details.
Software Copyright Notice
Hypoband may include copyright and third-party software stored in semiconductor memories or other
media as such distribution or reproduced copyright of the software is strictly prohibited. Accordingly, any
copyrighted software contained in Hypoband may not be modified reverse-engineered, distributed or
reproduced in any manner to the extend allowed by law. Furthermore the purchase of Hypoband shall not
be deemed to grant either directly or implication, estoppel, or otherwise, any license under the copyrights,
