1 Introduction

1.2 Install Battery
To install the battery, do as follows:
1. Disassemble the battery cover and move the dialing buttons of the battery cover on the left
and right along the OPEN direction to pull up the battery cover.

2. Push the battery to the battery compartment and press it downwards.

3. Move the dialing buttons of the battery cover on the left and right along the LOCK direction to
lock the battery cover.

1.3 Remove Battery
To remove the battery, do as follows:
1. Move the dialing buttons of the battery cover on the left and right along the OPEN direction to
pull up the battery cover.

2. Pull up the battery from the battery compartment.

1.4 Install TF Card
(Note: TF cards, namely Micro SD cards are applicable to iData 65)
1. Open the card cover by following the OPEN direction marked on the card cover. When a click is
heard, the card cover is completely opened.

2. Open the card cover upwards and insert a TF card, as shown in the figure below

3. Close the card cover, as shown in the figure below.

4. Pull back the card cover by following the LOCK direction marked on the card cover. When a click
is heard, the card cover is completely pulled back.

1.5 Remove/Install handle(optional)
1. Install the PDA head into handle, press the rear and push forward the buckle.

1.5 Charging
You can charge a battery by using:
1. Data cable at the bottom
2. Desktop stand (to be purchased separately)

Description of charging indicator:
When the battery is in the charging status, the charging indicator is in red.
When the battery is fully charged, the charging indicator is in green.
When the battery volume is low, (1) A message indicating that the battery volume is less than 15%
is displayed on the screen.
(2) Device gives out a low battery prompt tone.
(3) The charging indicator blinks in red.

2.1 Powering On/Off
After installing a SIM card and a battery and charging the iData 65 completely, you can use the
iData 65.
1. For power-on, press the On/Off key in the lower right part of the keypad for some time till
device vibrates, then it displays the startup screen and enters Android OS after the guide
progress is complete. It takes some time to initialize. Please wait patiently.
2. For power-off, press the On/Off key in the lower right part of the keypad for some time. A
dialog box that provides shutdown option is displayed. Click Power Off.

2.2 Lock and Unlock
Lock device
Press the power key to lock. If you do not perform any operation to the device within the
default locking time, device will be locked automatically.
Unlock device
Press the power key and slide the unlock key to the right on the screen.
2.3 Keypad buttons
The iData 65 provides a physical keypad that consists of 31 buttons, as shown in the figure below.
On the physical keypad of the iData 65:
Home button: go back to the home screen.
Menu button: show menus.
Scanning button: scan.
Backwards button: return to the previous operation screen.
Direction button (4)
OK button
Digit input button
User-defined function button: Aa, FN, P
Volume button: Settings- Customize – volume function button, up-left key for turn down, up-right
key to turn up.

2.4 Home screen
By default, the iData 65 has 2 home screens. You can add home screens by placing application
icons to the home screen and slide to the left or right to switch to another home screen. On the
home screen, click application icon to open the application.
★Tips
You can add or delete the application icon in blank areas on the home screen.
If you tap and hold the application tray, you can view all applications.

Status icons and indicators are in the status bar at the upper part of the screen and show device
status and notifications.

2.6.6 Shortcuts
You can add shortcut icons on the home screen.
On the home screen, tap application tray, press and hold an icon and drag it to the home screen.
2.6.7 Widgets
You can add widgets such as clock, music player, and calendar on the home.
On the home screen, press and hold a blank space. The entry for setting wallpaper and widgets is
displayed. Tap and drag the widget to a blank area.
Tap and open the widget.

To create an email account on the iData 65, initially need to set the account on a PC. Take a QQ
email account as an example. Log in to the QQ email account, tap Setup in the upper right corner
of the email account page, find and select the server option and inbox option and then save. The
email account is set.

1. Enter an email address and password and click Next.
2. Set Inbox checking frequency and click Next.
3. Create a name for the account and click Next. The email receiving page is displayed.
Delete account
1. Click Menu then settings;
2. Choose the account you want to delete, open Settings interface;

4 Network and Synchronization
4.1 Wi-Fi Network Connection
Find this icon:
->Settings
->Wireless & networks
->WLAN
1. Click WLAN ON/OFF to search network. If WLAN is ON, click Refresh, device will list out in-range
network;
2. Click a network and enter the password in the dialog box that is displayed.
3. Click Connect. The Wi-Fi connection is completed.
4.2 Bluetooth
Enabling the Bluetooth function, establish wireless connection with other Bluetooth devices such
as computers and mobile phones. Bluetooth connection would be good in the range without solid
obstacles.

-> Bluetooth
1. Click the icon for enabling/disabling Bluetooth to enable Bluetooth and search for other
Bluetooth devices.
2. In the list of searched devices, click a device to pair the device.
3. In the dialog box that is displayed, confirm the PIN and click Pair to connect the device.
4. Click on the right of the searched device, you can change name and FORGET (the
searched device), use for Internet access and Contact sharing.
