BASIC SAFETY INFORMATION
INTENDED USE
I LOCK IT GPS serves as a bicycle lock to lock the rear wheel.
I LOCK IT GPS is controlled by a Bluetooth connection to a
smartphone with the I LOCK IT App installed, or to a
I LOCK IT key fob+.
Use I LOCK IT GPS only as described in this operating
instructions. Any other use is considered improper and can
lead to material damage or even personal injury.
The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by
improper use.
I LOCK IT GPS is intended for private use.
Before using your I LOCK IT GPS, please read the safety
instructions and the user manual carefully. Only in this way you
can use all functions safely and reliably. Keep the operating
instructions in a safe place and hand them over to a possible
subsequent owner.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read these notes and follow all instructions.
Electric shock hazard: Excessive mains voltage
can lead to electrical shock.
• Use only accessories recommended by us.
• Use only a suitable plug-in power supply. Make sure that the
correct voltage is applied.
For more information, please refer to the plug-in power supply.
• Check the power supply regularly for damage. Do not use
the plugin power supply if its housing is defective or has other
visible damage.
• Use the plug-in power supply only indoor and not in damp
areas, and protect it against dripping and splashing water.•
• Never open the housing of the plug-in power supply or
the I LOCK IT GPS.
• Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet when a
thunderstorm threatens.
BASIC SAFETY INFORMATION
Risk of explosion: Batteries (especially lithium
batteries) may explode if handled improperly.
• Keep I LOCK IT GPS away from heat sources (e.g.
ovens, radiators, amplifiers etc.).
• Do not attempt to dispose I LOCK IT GPS by incineration.
Only use accessories and equipment parts (e.g. battery)
which are offered or recommended by us.
• Protect the battery from strong heat, such as direct sun-
light, fire etc.
• Do not place open fire sources such as burning candles
or similar on or directly beside I LOCK IT GPS.
• If the housing is defective, do not use I LOCK IT GPS and
keep it out of the reach of children.
• Refer all repair and maintenance to qualified service
personnel.
An inspection and|or repair is necessary if I LOCK IT GPS
has been damaged in any way.

Operate I LOCK IT GPS only in the following environments
conditions:
• Min --20 °C ambient temperature
• Max 40 °C ambient temperature
Only charge the battery under the following environmental
conditions:
• Min 0 °C ambient temperature
• Max 30 °C ambient temperature
The use of the article can lead to accidents or malfunctions in
certain places.
• Do not use I LOCK IT GPS in explosive atmospheres or
dangered environment.
• Use Bluetooth® only in places where wireless radio trans-
mission is permitted.
I LOCK IT GPS and the flex adapters must be checked for the
following before each journey:
• Damage
• Fixed mounting on the bicycle frame

After each opening procedure it must be checked that
I LOCK IT GPS has been completely opened before the
journey begins. After each locking procedure, check that the
locking bar is completely closed.
Hearing loss due to acoustic sounds is possible.
I LOCK IT GPS should not be brought close to
your hearing.
• I LOCK IT GPS may only be fitted to the rear wheel.
• Mounting on motorcycles such as scooters, motorcycles
or S-pedelecs (pedelecs with up to 45 km|h assistance)
is not permitted.
• The maximum permissible tyre width is 64 mm.
If I LOCK IT GPS emits an acoustic signal while
riding, I LOCK IT GPS must be taken out of service
immediately and our customer service contacted.
Keep a safe distance from the locking bar during
the locking process, there is a danger of crushing.
• If the spokes are painted, it can lead to abrasion of the
paint through the locking bar.

2. FIRST SET-UP
2.1. CHARGING THE BATTERY
Before using your I LOCK IT GPS for the first time, you should
fully charge the battery. To do this, follow these steps:
I. Open the USB cover on the right side of I LOCK IT GPS.
II. Connect the supplied USB magnetic charging cable to the
magnetic charging port on I LOCK IT GPS.

III. Connect the USB magnetic charging cable to a USB-power
adapter, battery pack or the USB port of a computer.
To charge I LOCK IT GPS use only
voltage sources, which supply the USB output
with 5 V direct voltage (DC).
While I LOCK IT GPS is charging, the button LED
lights up red. When the battery is full, the LED
goes out.
If there is no power outlet near the bicycle
we recommend charging by using a battery pack to
avoid disassembly from the bike.
IV. Once I LOCK IT GPS is fully charged, you can remove the
USB magnetic charging cable and close the USB cover
again.
If the battery reaches a low charge level, an
acoustic warning tone will sound each time the
lock is opened. The battery should then be
charged to ensure that I LOCK IT GPS is ready
to use.

FIRST SET-UP
2.2. SETTING UP THE I LOCK IT APP
Once fully charged, you can connect your I LOCK IT GPS to
your smartphone.
The following steps can only be performed when
setting up a smartphone for the first time. If you
want to set up another smartphone or a key fob+,
please follow the steps in chapter 3.6.
I. Download the I LOCK IT app:

The Bluetooth functionality of your
smartphone must be activated before
starting the I LOCK IT app.
II. Install and start the I LOCK IT app on your smartphone.
III. Register in the I LOCK IT app and activate your account.
IV. Log in with your account.
V. Follow the further instructions in the app for setting up your
I LOCK IT GPS.
Initial setup of a smartphone is only possible when
I LOCK IT GPS is in setup mode. This is indicated
by a flashing blue button. Follow the instructions in
the app to put I LOCK IT GPS into setup mode.

FIRST SET-UP
If the initial setup was completed successfully, the I LOCK IT
App establishes a secure connection to your I LOCK IT GPS.
Once the process is complete, the I LOCK IT GPS button lights
up blue for 5 seconds and the I LOCK IT app confirms success-
ful pairing.
If the blue LED goes out before a connection is
established, then the button must be pressed again
to enable the connection.
The first time you set up I LOCK IT GPS with the I LOCK IT App,
you set your personal color code. This code is used to open
I LOCK IT GPS if there is no Bluetooth connection to the
smartphone or key fob and should not be passed on to third
parties.
The color code can be viewed and changed via the
I LOCK IT app.
The personal color code is very important and must be be
kept safe by you! If you lose your smartphone, your personal
color code cannot be recovered by our customer service.
• In the I LOCK IT app you can select which
I LOCK IT is meant to create a connection.
Individual configurations can also be setted.
• Your smartphone can only be connected
with one I LOCK IT at the same time.

2.3. MOUNTING ON THE BIKE
I LOCK IT GPS is permanently attached to the seat stays of
your bike. For mounting I LOCK IT GPS has three different
openings. Through these openings I LOCK IT GPS can be
mounted at the optimal height.
I LOCK IT GPS should only be mounted on the
rear wheel. Mounting on motorcycles such as
scooters, motorcycles or S-pedelecs (pedelecs
with up to 45 km|h support) is not permitted.
Mount I LOCK IT GPS in such a way that there is
enough clearance to the mudguard. Only then
the spoke avoidance can be guaranteed at the
locking process.
MOUNTING FOR BIKES WITH THREADED SOCKETS
If your bike already has threaded sockets for screwing on
frame locks, please follow these instructions:
Most city, trekking and e-bikes have threaded so-
ckets. On some models they may be protected by
plastic covers. These covers must be removed
before mounting I LOCK IT GPS.
FIRST SET-UP FIRST SET-UP
I. Screw the flex adapters by hand into the threaded
sockets (1) of your bike and tighten the flex adapters
(2) hand-tight (3Nm).
II. Place I LOCK IT GPS over your mudguard | tire.
III. Tighten the I LOCK IT GPS to the flex adapters by
hand with an Allen key (3Nm). Use the supplied
mounting screws.

Be careful not to screw the I LOCK IT GPS too tight. This could
cause difficulties in moving the locking bar.
Check manually that the I LOCK IT GPS can be tilted back and
forth. The mudguard should not hinder the movement.
MOUNTING AT BIKE WITHOUT THREADED SOCKETS
If your bike does not have threaded sockets for mounting
I LOCK IT GPS, then I LOCK IT GPS can be easily and safely
mounted with the optional installation adapters.
Please follow the steps below:
FIRST SET-UP
The installation adapters have flexible screw
holders that can be adjusted laterally. This allows
even more variety in the frame width of the bike.
I. Attach the appropriate installation adapter to one of the
frame struts.
II. Place the plastic bands around the strut and then through
the openings on the installation adapter.
III. Insert the plastic screws (1) into the installation adapter.
IV. Use a suitable screwdriver to tighten the installation adapter
by turning the plastic screw.

V. Repeat the procedure for the second installation adapter.
VI. Manually screw the flex adapters with the thread into the
installation adapters and tighten them hand-tight (3Nm).
VII. Place I LOCK IT GPS over your mudguard | tire.
VIII. Screw I LOCK IT GPS to the threaded sockets of the
flex adapters by hand using an Allen key (3 Nm).
Use the mounting screws supplied with I LOCK IT GPS.
Take care not to screw the I LOCK IT GPS too tight. This
could lead to difficulties in moving the locking bar.
Check manually that the I LOCK IT GPS can be tilted back and forth.
The mudguard should not hinder the movement.
The protruding plastic straps of the installation
adapters can be removed with a side cutter.

3. OPERATION
3.1. UNLOCKING I LOCK IT GPS
I LOCK IT GPS offers several ways to open:
AUTOMATIC UNLOCKING
If the automatic opening is activated in the settings, I LOCK IT
GPS will open automatically as soon as you get close to it. The
distance at which I LOCK IT will open can be configured in
different steps via the app.
The I LOCK IT app must be active on your smartphone in the
background and the Bluetooth functionality of your smartphone
must be switched on.
After successful opening, the I LOCK IT GPS button lights up
green and your journey can begin.
An automatic opening only takes place if
you have moved at least 5 m away from
your bike after closing by smartphone or button
or I LOCK IT GPS has closed automatically.

The distance is determined by the signal strength
between I LOCK IT GPS and your smartphone.
This signal strength changes depending on the
storage of your smartphone. For example,
I LOCK IT GPS may open earlier when you have
your phone in your hand and later when you
carry it in your pocket.
UNLOCKING BY BUTTON
In addition to automatic opening, I LOCK IT GPS can be opened
by briefly pressing the I LOCK IT GPS button.
After successful opening, the button will light up green and your
journey can begin.
• Opening by pressing the button only works if your
smartphone is nearby and the I LOCK IT App is
connected to your I LOCK IT GPS.
• If the smartphone is connected to I LOCK IT GPS
but is not near I LOCK IT GPS, the button will light
red and no opening will occur.
OPERATION
UNLOCKING BY SMARTPHONE
Another option is to open your I LOCK IT GPS through the
I LOCK IT app. To do so, click on the "Unlock now“ button on
the home screen of the app or click directly on the graphic of
the lock.
Once I LOCK IT GPS is open, the text will change to
"Lock now“ and the I LOCK IT GPS button lights up green for
5 seconds.
UNLOCKING BY COLOR CODE
If you have forgotten your smartphone or your smartphone
battery is empty, I LOCK IT GPS can be opened by your
personal color code.
The color code is set during the first setup of the I LOCK IT
app and can be changed via the app.
The personal color code is very important and must be
kept safe by you! If you lose your smartphone, your
personal color code cannot be recovered by our support
service.
The color code can only be entered if there is
no Bluetooth connection between your smartphone
and I LOCK IT GPS.

Follow the instructions to enter the color code:
I. Press and hold the button until it displays the desired color.
The colors appear in this order: green, blue, red, white.
II. Release the button and repeat the procedure for the next color.
III. Repeat the procedure for all 6 colors.
After entering the correct color code, I LOCK IT GPS will open
automatically. If you have entered an incorrect color code, the
LED will flash red briefly and you can then start a new color
code entry.
• After entering a color, you have 5 seconds to start the
next entry.
• An incomplete entry is cancelled after 5 seconds and
is indicated by flashing 3 times.
• If the color code is entered incorrectly 3 times
within 3 minutes, the input is blocked for 5 minutes.

OPERATION
3.2. LOCKING I LOCK IT GPS
I LOCK IT GPS offers several locking options:
Locking I LOCK IT GPS is only possible
when the bike is not in motion.
If an attempt is made to lock I LOCK IT GPS while riding, the
button will flash red, an acoustic warning tone will sound and
no locking process will take place.
AUTOMATIC LOCKING
If automatic locking is enabled in the I LOCK IT settings,
I LOCK IT GPS will lock up as soon as you move away from
your bike. The distance for automatic locking can be
configured in the I LOCK IT app.
Before closing, I LOCK IT GPS will emit an audible tone to
indicate the following lock.
Upon successful completion, the I LOCK IT GPS button will
illuminate red for 5 seconds and your bike will be secured.
The I LOCK IT app must be active on your smart-
phone in the background and connected to your
I LOCK IT GPS.

• If you have previously opened your I LOCK IT GPS
using the I LOCK IT app, the automatic locking
function is only active if you were in the immediate
vicinity of your I LOCK IT GPS after opening it.
• If the Bluetooth connection to your open
I LOCK IT GPS gets lost, an acoustic warning tone
will sound as soon as your bike stops. An automatic
closing procedure is not carried out.
• The distance is determined by the signal strength
between I LOCK IT GPS and your smartphone.
This signal strength changes depending on the
storage of your smartphone. For example, it may
lock later when you hold your smartphone in your
hand and earlier when you carry it in your pocket.
• While riding, I LOCK IT GPS intelligently calculates
the signal strength to prevent locking even in
situations when the bike is stationary, such as at
traffic lights. Due to this calculation, the actual
distance at which I LOCK IT GPS closes, can vary.
• However, if a closing process takes place while
the phone is stationary, the distance for automatic
closing should be increased or the phone should
be stored elsewhere while riding. If this does
not help, then the recommendation is to disable
automatic locking.

LOCKING BY BUTTON
In addition to automatic closing, I LOCK IT GPS can also be
closed by pressing a button. To do this, press and hold the
I LOCK IT GPS button until it turns red and then release it.
Before closing, I LOCK IT GPS will emit an audible tone to
indicate that it is about to close. After successful locking, the
button lights up red.
The locking tone can be deactivated in the
settings menu of the I LOCK IT App.
LOCKING BY SMARTPHONE
Another option is to close your I LOCK IT GPS using the
I LOCK IT app.
To do this, click the "Lock now“ button on the home screen or
click directly on the lock graphic. Before closing the
I LOCK IT GPS will emit an audible tone to indicate that the
locking bolt is about to be closed.
The locking tone can be set in the settings menu
of the I LOCK IT app and it can be deactivated.

As soon as I LOCK IT GPS is closed, the text changes to
"Unlock now“, the I LOCK IT GPS button lights up red for 5
seconds and your bike is secured.
If there is no Bluetooth connection between the
smartphone and I LOCK IT GPS, the
Button "Unlock now“ is not displayed.
3.3. SMART ANTI-THEFT ALARM
If the theft alarm is activated in the I LOCK IT settings and your
I LOCK IT GPS is locked, I LOCK IT GPS will sound an audible
alarm when your bike is lifted and moved.
The smart alarm analyzes the strength and duration of the
movement and uses a short pre-alarm to signal that the
anti-theft alarm is activated.
If the unauthorized movement of the bicycle continues,
a 30-second alarm tone is triggered.
The pre-alarm can be activated in the
I LOCK IT app.
OPERATION
If your bike continues to be moved after the alarm has expired,
a new alarm tone is triggered for 30 seconds.
While the acoustic alarm is active, I LOCK IT GPS
cannot be opened.
As soon as the alarm is triggered, you will receive a message
directly on your smartphone or via e-mail.
If you are within Bluetooth range of your I LOCK IT GPS, you
can deactivate the acoustic alarm before 30 seconds by
pressing the "All OK“ button.
You will only receive an alarm message on your
smartphone or via e-mail if I LOCK IT GPS is either
connected to your Smartphone via Bluetooth or if
sufficient mobile phone reception is available.
The silent alarm feature allows you to disable the audible alarm
on I LOCK IT GPS while the alarm notification continues to be
sent to your smartphone in the event of movement.

3.4. GPS TRACKING
The GPS tracking functionality can only be used
when the I LOCK IT GPS is locked and the alarm
system is activated (acoustic or silent alarm).
If a theft alarm is triggered on your bike, I LOCK IT automatically
activates the GPS tracking functionality.
With the I LOCK IT app you can now track the current location
of your I LOCK IT GPS.
As soon as your bike is not moved for a longer period of time,
I LOCK IT GPS deactivates the GPS functionality again to save
energy. If your bike is moved again, the GPS tracking will be
activated again.
• The GPS tracking functionality will only be activa-
ted if you are not within Bluetooth range when the
alarm is triggered.
• The transmission of location data is only possible if
sufficient mobile phone reception is available.
OPERATION
• After activating the GPS Tracking function, it can
take up to several minutes to locate the current
position via GPS. GPS reception in buildings is
usually not possible.
• The GPS localization has a high energy consumption.
We recommend charging your I LOCK IT GPS
regularly, even if the battery has not yet reached
a critical level.
ACOUSTIC SIGNAL FUNCTION
With the acoustic signal function you can trigger a short tone
on your I LOCK IT GPS via the I LOCK IT app. This will help
you find your I LOCK IT GPS when you are nearby.
To use the acoustic signal function, your
I LOCK IT GPS must be within Bluetooth range
and the I LOCK IT App must be connected to
your I LOCK IT GPS.

PROXIMITY POSITIONING FUNCTION
The GPS accuracy can deviate several meters from the real
location of your bike depending on the environmental situation.
In these situations, the proximity positioning function can help
you locate your bike.
Once your I LOCK IT GPS is within Bluetooth range, the
proximity positioning screen in the I LOCK IT app will show you
whether you are currently approaching your bike or heading in
the opposite direction.
The stronger the Bluetooth signal, the closer your bike with
I LOCK IT GPS is.
OPERATION
3.5. SHARE ACCESS
To lend your I LOCK IT GPS-equipped bike to friends or family,
you can create and share a color code in the I LOCK IT app. This
color code allows you to open I LOCK IT GPS without having to
install the I LOCK IT app on another smartphone.
To do so, switch to the settings menu in the I LOCK IT App. Under
the sub-item "Share“ you can generate, share, change and deac-
tivate a color code.
If the color code is changed, the last displayed color code is
automatically deactivated.
•To create a color code, your I LOCK IT app must be
connected to your I LOCK IT GPS.
• Your personal color code, which you set during
initial setup, should not be shared. This personal
color code provides permanent access to your
I LOCK IT GPS.
• If several people are using your bike permanently,
it makes sense to teach additional smartphones to
your I LOCK IT GPS.

3.6. CONNECTING NEW SMARTPHONE|KEY FOB+
Only one smartphone can be connected to
I LOCK IT GPS at the same time.
However, a smartphone and a key fob+can be
connected simultaneously and control I LOCK IT
GPS at the same time.
The settings in I LOCK IT GPS are valid for all
users and can also be changed by any connected
smartphone.
A maximum of 8 Smartphones or key fob+can be
paired to I LOCK IT GPS.
To connect another device to I LOCK IT GPS, it is necessary
to bring I LOCK IT GPS into set-up mode. Only in this mode a
new device can be connected to I LOCK IT GPS.
There are several ways to transfer I LOCK IT GPS into the
set-up mode.
OPERATION
START SET-UP MODE WITH I LOCK IT APP
To put your I LOCK IT GPS into set-up mode via the
I LOCK IT app, follow these steps:
I. Open the I LOCK IT App on the already configured
smartphone.
II. Go to the settings menu and open the "Share“ submenu.
III. Select the option "Pair new smartphone“.
IV. Read and confirm the note.
I LOCK IT GPS enters the set-up mode.
Entering the set-up mode is only possible if
I LOCK IT GPS is connected with the smartphone
with the I LOCK IT App installed.
