Plug in the power

Use the micro USB power cable to connect the +5V/2A adapter into
MediaWalker 956 and turn the power on.

Connect the up-link network
:

The default status to the connect up-link is by using a wired Ethernet port.
The user may change the configuration of the setup to wireless WiFi if
desired.

Storage

Insert the SD card and/or the USB drive/USB hard disk to perform the
storage function of MediaWalker. It will allow the user to play music from
the storage and/or share the content through a FTP Server.

Download and install MediaWalker App form Google Play or App
store.
Or scan the QR code to download and install the MediaWalker App.
Launch the MediaWalker App after installed.
Connect the power with MediaWalker 956 and switch the
power on. Wait until the MediaWalker 956 to send out a
"Welcome to…………" message, which indicates that
the system is ready.
Turn on your device such as iPhone, iPad, Android
phone and/or computer. Setup the WiFi on your device
and search for the AP with the SSID name:
“
mw948X_XXXXXX”.
Default password is “12345678”.
It will show the AP connected if the connection is
successful.

If it can’t find the SSID of the MediaWalker 956 or can’t match the
password, please press 5 seconds on the “RESET” button to re-start the
MediaWalker 956 back to default setting.
1. Play Music

There are several options:
a. With the MediaWalker app

Click the slide command bar at the upper left corner and choose the
Local Player to list the music contents in your Android device.
Click on the music you want to play, the control button on the right
( ) will control the music to play either on local machine or via
WiFi on the MediaWalker 956.

b. With mobile phone’s music player

c. With iPhone and iPad

Start the music player of iPhone and iPad and
slide the touch screen from bottom to activate
Airplay.
Choose the mw948X_XXXX device to start the WiFi Airplay.

d. For Windows / Mac User:

Install iTune onto Mac/PC via internet. Launch iTunes and click on
the middle of top command bar to activate the Airplay.
Choose the mw948X_XXXX device to start the WiFi Airplay music.

Play music in USB drive
a. Detect Song List
Select “Remote Player”
Choose MediaWalker with the songs in the USB drive.
When asked "Do you want to update the song list?", choose “OK”
for the first time or when the content in USB drive has been
changed. Chose “Cancel” if no change is required.
Always use “Refresh remote list” in the command button when
using a different USB drive.
After refreshing, the songs with numbers would be listed and played
sequentially

b. Create and add song to new song list
Select ” More” command button, then proceed to the option
"
New
list to remote device
".
Input the desired name for the list and press "OK" to create a new
list.
With the "Remote play-list change" option selected, it would enable
you to switch song list to play.
To add a song, hold down the selected song, then select the “Add to
playlist” command. Select the playlist you want to add the song to.
While in the song list, you can change the sequence by hold down
to the selected song and move it up & down.
Or you can delete the song if desired.

After logged-in, there will be options:"Network Setup Wizard" and
"Network Page Setup".
a. The network setup
A Step by step guide to help wifi setup.
Remote AP SSID: Click on the small triangle at the end of the option,
select the remote Router/AP from available list then proceed to
connect.
WPA Passphrase: Enter the password then press “SUBMIT”.

b. The network page setup
Go to the configuration page after
successfully logged in.
WAN Type: Select WIFI.
WAN IP Mode: Select DHCP.
Remote AP SSID: Click on the small
triangle at the end, select the remote
Router/AP from available on the list then
connect.
WPA Password: Enter the password
Then press “SUBMIT”.
Any changes made would require the user to select the “SUBMIT”
button in order to save the changes. The changed parameter will take
effect after system restarts. When a voice "Welcome to ………….." is
heard, it indicates that the system is ready to go.
Confirm MediaWalker 956 is connected to Internet.
Select the slide command bar at the upper lift corner and select
“Setup” →"About" →Choose the name of the firmware or SSID
that needs to be upgraded.
About screen will show the current version.
Place 2 fingers on the “About Screen” for 7 seconds till the "Version
Update" dialog box appears, and then tap the screen.
Select "Stable Upgrade" to perform the upgrade.

* Note: During firmware upgrade, be sure to keep the product in
Power-On and connected to the internet. Wait until MediaWalker 956
restart and sends the “Welcome to……” message, which indicate the
firmware upgrade is completed.
The steps describe above within this quick guide is only used for MediaWalker
APK, please refer to the tutorial pages listed below if you wish to play music
through MediaWalker 956 via other UPnP/DLNA.
