i4Home Smart Box Eco User manual

Quick Installation Guide
Get Started
Easy as One, Two, Three
Step 1: Getting Start
Install the Smart Box:
Ethernet Version:
Connect the i4Home Smart Box to your router
and into your wall outlet according
to the picture provided.
Then wait for the booting process to finish
(it will automatically boot, and should take less than 1 minute)
You will know the booting process is finished
when the green LED light flashes slowly
Wi-Fi Version:
Please refer to the Wi-Fi Adaptor Settings guide
Step 2. to add sensors or any device to i4Home app of your Smart box
Press “Device” button from i4Home App and then press “Install” button
You will hear Buzzer beeps from the Smart Box and all LEDs blink simultaneously
(This means the system is ready for adding device within 30 second)
Then select your “Device Type” according to the device you want to enroll it
- Remote Control: i4H-RC-3
1- Apply Step 2 and set the device type to “Remote”
2- Press the Disarm button of the RC-3 for two seconds.
You will hear 3 short beeps and your device added successfully
Now you can press any button to check the R/C in the i4Home App’s Status
Remarks:
- If you will hear one long beep after 30 seconds that means the adding failed, so you have to repeat enrolling action again
- Avoid activating any other sensors during the 30 seconds Device Enroll period
- Door/Window Sensor: i4H-MX-3D
Open the case and insert a 3V CR-2032 Lithium battery
1- Apply Step 2 and set the device type to “Door”
2- Within 30 seconds place the small magnet piece closely
to the mark of the transmitter, or place it away from the transmitter if they are close originally.
You will hear 3 short beeps and your device is added successfully
Now you can move the magnet back and forth to check it in the i4Home App’s Status
Remarks:
- If you will hear one long beep after 30 seconds that means the adding failed, so you have to repeat enrolling action again
- Avoid activating any other sensors during the 30 seconds Device Enroll period
-Motion Sensor: i4H-PIR-3SP
Loosen the screw at the bottom of the motion sensor, and then remove the front cover.
Insert two AA alkaline batteries and keep it open to be able to add it to the Smart Box
1- Apply Step 2 and set the device type to “Motion”
2- Within 30 seconds, press the TEST button on the motion sensor board
You will hear 3 short beeps and your device is added successfully
Now you can press the test button again to check it in the i4Home App’s Status
Then you can close the sensor front cover

Download i4Home App:
- Download “i4Home” application from your smartphone’s App
store (Google Play or Apple Store)
Your registration ID Serial number is located on the back of the
Smart Box and make a note of it as it will be required when
registering your device online.
- Launch i4Home App, and register your Smart Box using the
registration form (Register Button) and then you will receive a
confirmation email to activate your account
Ensure that you have enabled push notifications option on your
smartphone
- Login in to i4Home app using your username and password
Step 2: Adding your Sensors: (Enroll Devices)
Before adding any new device, you have to insert
Batteries to device or connect it to the power supply.
It is recommended to bring device closer to Smart Box

Remarks (i4H-PIR-3SP):
- If you will hear one long beep after 30 seconds that means the adding failed,
so you have to repeat enrolling action again
-Avoid activating any other sensors during the 30 seconds Device Enroll period
Important Notice (i4H-PIR-3SP):
In NORMAL mode, the sensor activates the transmitter when it initially detects movement, then disables itself.
The unit will resume operation only after about 3 minutes with no further detection of movement.
The purpose of this feature is to reduce power consumption and prolong battery life.
Step 3 –Placement
• Place each of the devices in the appropriate locations (see examples below).
-Door/Window Sensor i4H-MX-3D
1. Attach the sensor on the fixed frame by using the supplied double-stick tape.
The marker side should close to the magnet.
2. Attach magnet to the movable part (door or window)
near the transmitter‘s marker side.
Keep the gap within 1 cm when door/window is closed
Notice: Do not mount this sensor directly on a metal surface;
otherwise, the RF distance would be very short.
- Motion Sensor: i4H-PIR-3SP
The sensor should be mounted on the wall or corner at 2.0 m high and perpendicular to the floor
Important Notes:
To get the best sensitivity, PIR should be mounted to detect movement
of the intruder across a
Room rather than toward the detector
Do not install where the detector faces a window
Make sure the detection area does not have obstructions
Avoid placing the sensor in areas containing objects likely to produce a
rapid change in temperature
- Temperature & Humidity Sensor: i4H-TH-3
The sensor can be fixed on the wall by using the mounting bracket or hung by using the belt that comes with the sensor
Please do not mount this sensor directly on a metal surface;
otherwise, the RF distance would be very short.
- Smart Outlet: i4H-XSW-1F
Simple plug the Smart Outlet into a wall socket and you can control the power outlet using i4Home app
Your i4Home Smart Home is now ready to use!

Temperature & Humidity Sensor: i4H-TH-3
Loosen the screw of the TH-3, and then open the cover
and place a CR-2 (3V) Lithium battery in right polarity
1- Apply Step 2 and set the device type to “Temperature”
2- Within 30 seconds, press the Test button of the sensor for two seconds.
You will hear 3 short beeps and your device is added successfully
You have two sensors in one device so you have to repeat the same steps
and set the device type “Humidity”sensor to the smart box
Now you can press the test button again to check it in the i4Home App’s Status and to ensure that the two sensors
(Temperature and Humidity) are registered.
Remarks:
- If you will hear one long beep after 30 seconds that means the adding failed,
So you have to repeat enrolling action again
- Avoid activating any other sensors during the 30 seconds Device Enroll period
- Smart Outlet: i4H-XSW-1F
Simple plug the Smart Outlet into a wall socket and you can control the power outlet using i4Home App
1- Press the smart switch button for 5 Sec.
(Beeper sounds and the Operation LED flashes).
2- Press “Control” from bottom toolbar of i4Home app
then Select the switch number (1 ~ 8) that will be assigned to the XSW-01
and press On (or Off) command.
If the XSW-01 receives valid command within 30 sec.,
Then your device is added successfully
Now the smart switch can be controlled remotely
Remarks:
- Avoid activating any other sensors during the 30 seconds device Enroll period
