The normal state of the valve. The valve is in user mode when it detects that its cover is on, or if it has been in maintenance mode
for more than 30 minutes. Auto acvaons are only available in user mode.
ACTIVATION
Auto-Acvaon
The valve will automacally ush based on IR detecon. The IR sensor has 3 LEDs, a red, green, and blue to indicate detecon
and acvaon status.
When no object is detected no LED indicaon will display.
Aer 5-7 seconds of detecng an object, the valve will be considered “locked on” and a green LED will blink in 5-second intervals
up to 30 seconds.
When an object exits from lock-on the valve will Auto-Acvate.
Manual Acvaon
There are two manual acvaon buons on the plate. The le buon performs a reduced ush, while the right buon performs
a standard ush.
Sennel Acvaon
The valve can automacally acvate 24 hours aer the last acvaon, by default Sennel Acvaon is o. To toggle Sennel
Acvaon on and o hold down the Acvate buon in the interface box (not the Manual Acvaon buons) for 5 seconds. The
green LED in the IR sensor window will blink 3 mes to indicate it has been turned on, or the red LED will blink 3 mes to indicate
it has been turned o.
Acvaon Refusal
When an acvaon is aempted but the valve is unable to acvate, a red LED will ash. This can be caused by obstrucons
or being temporarily disabled. Valves are automacally temporarilyy disabled for 3 seconds aer acvaon.

Pro devices use TruTOUCH®, an algorithm based on water pressure to opmize ush volumes.

FACTORY RESET
A factory reset is performed by:
1. Power o the interface box.
2. Press and hold the acvate buon in the interface box.
3. Restore power, while sll holding the acvate buon.
4. Release the acvate buon aer the green LED blinks 4 mes. The factory reset is nished.
MAINTENANCE MODE
If the cover is removed the valve will go into Maintenance Mode which allows addional acons. Auto Acvaons are unavailable in
Maintenance Mode. While in Maintenance Mode a solid green LED indicates that an object is detected. Maintenance Mode mes
out and returns to User Mode aer 30 minutes. Maintenance Mode may be reentered by pushing the Auto Range or Prole buons.
BUTTONS
There are 2 maintenance buons on the control module. And two maintenance buons in the interface box.
From le to right they are:

2. Acvaon Count Reset
Auto-Range
Acvated by holding the Auto-Range buon for 3 seconds. When triggered a 5-second count down will occur with the green LED
blinking once each second.
During Auto-Range the green LED will be solid.
Aer Auto-Range is complete the green LED will blink 3 mes.
If during Auto-Range, no object is detected or there is an error with the auto-range process (such as IR sensor malfunconing)
the value will be set to the default range.
Prole Selecon
Proles change the water savings value. Pressing the Prole Selecon buon will display the current prole. Pressing the Prole
Selecon buon again will cycle through the pre-congured proles. There are 3 proles.
1. Indicated by blue and red LEDs, and P1 on the digital display. 10% water savings.
2. Indicated by blue LEDs, and P2 on the digital display. 5% water savings.
3. (Default) Indicated by blue and green LEDs, and P3 on the digital display. 0% water savings.
To load a new prole press and hold the Prole Selecon buon for 3 seconds when the desired prole is indicated.
The LEDs will ash to show the prole has changed.
Aer 5 seconds prole mode will end, and the LEDs will clear.

Acvate
The acvate buon in the interface box performs a standard ush indicated with a blue LED blink.
Acvaon Count Reset
The acvaon count is reset by holding the Acvaon Count Reset buon for 5 seconds. The red LEDs on the device will
rapidly blink when the reset has occurred.
DIGITAL DISPLAY
An IR Plate is equipped with a digital display to read the current acvaon count, alerts, and make changes to parameters.
When the valve enters maintenance mode a round-robin display will begin. If an adjustment is made, the displayed seng
and respecve LED will blink, and the round-robin will restart.
ROUND-ROBIN DISPLAY
An IR Plate connuously runs the Round-Robin Display when in Maintenance Mode.
When the Round-Robin Display begins, it will cycle through the Alert Codes, Acvaon Count, and current values of adjustable
parameters.
ALERT CODES DISPLAY
Alert codes can be seen on the digital display. Addionally, the plate will ash a red LED every 10 seconds when an alert is present.
Indicated by AL and then the code number on the COBALT Round-Robin Display.
Code 2 Acvaon Count Threshold Reached
250,000 acvaons have been reached since the last reset, indicang that the valve should be rebuilt.
Code 4 Obstrucon
An object has remained locked on for 30 minutes. Auto Acvaon is disabled. To exit obstrucon nothing must be detected
for 5 seconds.
Code 6 Disconnected or faulty Pressure/Temperature Sensor
The Pressure/Temperature sensor must be plugged in or replaced.
ACTIVATION COUNT
The current number of acvaons since the last acvaon count reset.
Indicated by AC and then the number of acvaons scrolling from right to le on the digital display.
The acvaon count is saved to memory on certain intervals depending on the total number of acvaons. For the rst 100
acvaons it saves every acvaon. From 100 to 1000 acvaons, it saves every 10 acvaons. For 1000+ acvaons it saves every
100 acvaons. For example, if the device is powered o at 215 acvaons, when powered back on it will report 210 acvaons.
ADJUSTABLE PARAMETERS
Range
Adjusts the maximum range used to detect a user. The range can be adjusted from 6-54 inches.

Exit Time
Adjusts the amount of me an object must not be detected before the valve considers the user to have exited.
The range can be adjusted from 0-15 seconds.
Water Savings (Run)
Adjusts the water volume savings in percent.
Base Volume
Adjusts the base volume.
Adjusted by rst pressing the Prole Selecon buon, and then adjusng using the Water savings dial.
Due to display limitaons volumes are truncated on the display.
