AIR PUMP ADJUSTMENTS
The air pump controls air flow through the water in
tank WS1. Remove rack 3 to see the amount of
agitation. With DRIVE on, rotate the air pump
adjusting knob clockwise to decrease the flow of
air, counter clockwise to increase the flow.
EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
If the drive stops with a film in the processor, fit the
handle and turn steadily, each turn should take 6
seconds. Guide the wet film out, it may require
additional fixation/washing before drying. If a film
jams in the loading box - use MANUAL CUT for a
35mm film; for 120/220 films darken the room,
open loading box and cut the film. Continue
processing. If a film jams in the racks - darken the
room if necessary, open processor and release the
film. Continue processing by hand or in the
processor.

START and FINISH WORK
A simple sequence of actions prepares the
processor for its next operation. Press CLEAR, then
press 1 START WORK or 7 FINISH WORK, follow
the instructions. Wet the top rollers as shown using
the washing bottle. Take care to keep other areas
on the processor dry. The processor counts the total
number of films processed each day, press 4 FILM
COUNTER. If required this can be cleared at the
start or end of each day. 5 FILM POSITION displays
the location of films in the processor.
SETTING AND CHECKING
REPLENISHMENT RATES
Press CLEAR, then press 3 REP SET and follow the
instructions to set the rates, use the numbers on the
keypad to input data, then press CLEAR. Set the
rinse solution at 23 seconds max. To check the
actual rates - withdraw the replenishment pipe and
place in a measuring cylinder as shown. Press
CLEAR, then press 8 MANUAL REP. CONFIRM will
power the pump through one complete cycle. Power
the pump through 5 cycles. Take an average
reading of the total volume to find the actual rate,
adjust the rate if required and check again.

DEVELOPMENT TIMES
Six switches are pre-set to give development times shown
on the label. The switches can be re-set by adjusting a
control screw under the label. Press CLEAR, select DRIVE
on. Press the switch to be re-set, the display shows actual
temperature and time. Use a screwdriver, turn screw
clockwise to increase time, counter clockwise to reduce
time. Wait 10 seconds for the display to show actual time.
The development time can also be set with the selection
knob. Press CLEAR, select DRIVE on. Press M, turn knob
clock-wise to reduce time or counter clockwise to increase
time. Wait 10 seconds for display to show actual time.

SETTING PROCESSING TEMPERATURES
Press CLEAR, then 2 TEMP SET and follow the
instructions for setting the solution and dryer
temperatures, use the numbers on the keypad to
input data. Press ENTER, then CONFIRM then
CLEAR. The dryer minimum temperature is 45°C
(113°F).
The processing temperatures for ILFORD chemistry
can be checked on the control panel. Press 9 TEMP
DISPLAY to show the set and actual temperatures.
PROGRAMMING OPERATING TIMES
The date and time can be set using the control
panel, press CLEAR , then press 6 TIMER SET and
follow the instructions.
The processor can be programmed to automatically
re-start at a pre-set time so that the solutions reach
operating temperatures for the start of a day’s work.
Press CLEAR, then press 6 TIMER SET and follow the
instructions. To set the days you want the timer to
operate, press 0 for off, 1 for on.
DRAINING
Remove lower panel, withdraw bottle. Remove top
cap assembly. Remove drain cap and fit nozzle,
pour out the effluent. Refit caps, replace bottle and
refit panel. Each working tank can be drained by
opening the appropriate drain valve. Place a bottle
under the drain pipe (Dev or Fix) when draining
dev tank or fix tank. Water from the other tanks
goes to the main drain via the drain tray.
ADDING SOLUTIONS
Ensure the drain valves are closed. Unscrew and
withdraw the filter element assembly. Pour solution
into the temperature control tank as shown until
solution in the working tank overflows to the drain.
Refit the filter assembly.
Developer working tank capacity - 10 litres
Fix working tank capacity - 13 litres
Rinse solution working tank capacity - 4 litres
Each replenishment bottle holds 10 litres of solution,
top up as required.
