Tip:
Where a button that appears on both the radio
and remote control is referenced in this guide
you can use either button to use that function.
Mute button
Press the Mute button
to mute the unit’s volume.
Stop button
Press the Stop button to stop
media from an iPod.
Volume buttons
Press the Volume buttons
to turn the units volume
up or down.
Sleep button
Press the Sleep button repeatedly to set
the sleep timer between 10 and 90
minutes, in ten minute increments.
Power/Play/Pause button
Press the Power/Play/Pause button
to turn the unit on. Press and hold
the Power/Play/Pause button for
two seconds to turn the unit off.
Press the Power/Play/Pause button
to play or pause a docked iPod.
Menu/CLK Set button
Press the Menu/CLK Set button to
cycle back through a docked iPod’s
menus. With the unit powered off,
press and hold the Menu/CLK Set
button to set the time.
HR/MIN- & Prev/- button
Press the HR/MIN- and Prev/- button
to skip to the previous media file, or
press and hold the HR/MIN- and Prev/-
button to search backwards through
an individual audio or video file on a
docked iPod. When setting the clock,
press the HR/MIN- and Prev/- button
to adjust the hour and minute.
Select button
Press the Select button to make
selections on a docked iPod.
EQ (Equalizer) button
Press the EQ button to choose
between Rock, Classic, Jazz,
and Pop equalizer settings.
Menu button
Press the Menu button to
navigate through a docked iPod.
Menu button
Press the Menu button to
navigate through a docked iPod.
Shuffle button
Press the Shuffle button to turn
the docked iPod’s shuffle option
off or on.
HR/MIN+ & Next/+ button
Press the HR/MIN+ and Next/+ button
to skip to the next media file, or press
and hold the HR/MIN+ and Next/+
button to search forward through
an individual audio or video file on a
docked iPod. When setting the clock,
press the HR/MIN + and Next/+
button to adjust the hour and minute.
Playlist button
Press the Playlist buttons to cycle
through playlists on a docked iPod.
Album button
Press the Album buttons to cycle
through albums on a docked iPod.
Repeat button
Press the Repeat button to turn the
docked iPod’s repeat function on or
off. Press the Repeat button
once to repeat the current audio
track and twice to repeat an entire
album or playlist.
Chapter button
Press the Chapter buttons to
cycle through movie chapters
on a docked iPod.

Set up
Setting up your Home Speaker with
Dock for iPod
1 Plug the power cable into a standard
three pin wall socket.
The display will illuminate to read 12.00.
Note:
You will need x2 AAA batteries and use the
batteries only as a back-up.

Setting the time
Press and hold the POWER button to
switch your home speaker off.
Press and hold the CLK SET button on the
top of the system or the remote control.
When the time begins to blink on the
LCD Display, press the and buttons
to select 12 or 24 hour clock. Then press
the CLK Set button.
Use the and buttons to adjust the
hour and press the CLK Set button to set.
Use the and buttons to adjust
the minutes and press the CLK SET
button to set.
Wait 5 seconds, and the clock will be
set with the specified time.
Inserting the back up batteries
Inserting back up batteries as shown
will ensure your settings are saved when
you disconnect the Home speaker from
a power source.
1 Remove the battery compartment cover.
2 Insert 2 AAA batteries as shown.
3 Replace the battery cover.

Battery replacement
When the battery becomes weak, the
operating distance of the remote control
is greatly reduced and you will need to
replace it as described below.
1 Slide the battery draw out from the
bottom of the remote. You will need to
release the clip at the side of the draw.
The draw will slide out as shown.
2 Remove the old battery, then insert
a new one only with the same or
equivalent type, make sure the positive
(+) side is facing upwards as shown.
3 Slide the draw closed, it will click
into place.
Note:
Remove the plastic
sheet before
operating the
remote control.
The remote control battery
The remote control comes with a CR2025
button cell battery. The battery is already
inserted into the remote control and blocked
by a plastic sheet.

Docking an iPod
Turn your music system on using the
POWER button.
1 Select the bracket that fits the iPod
that will be docked and snap into
place over the iPod connector in
the Docking station. See the iPod
adapter chart on page 11 for
more details.
2 Place your iPod into the Docking station
to connect with the iPod connector.
3 Once your iPod is connected to your
Home Speaker the system will play
and charge the docked iPod.
Note:
You can select the desired volume using the
VOLUME + and - . Press the mute button to
turn the sound off, press it again to return to
the previous volume level.

Note:
When using your music system you can change
the sound mode by pressing the EQ button.
You can chose between CLASSIC, JAZZ, ROCK
and POP.

Playing your iPod
Connect your iPod to the Docking
station as previously instructed.
1 Press the POWER button to
turn the unit on.
2 Press the button either on the music
system, remote control or iPod to play
the Docked iPod.
3 Press the and buttons to skip
through tracks. To search through
individual tracks press and hold the
and buttons.
There are a range of other functions you
can use whilst playing your iPod, please
see page 5 for more details.
Note:
For information on how to connect other
players or external devices please see connecting
an external player on page 10.
Connecting an external device
Playing an external music source through your Home Speaker
1 Plug one end of a 3.5mm line-in Cable (available at ASDA,see www.asda.com
for more details) into the AUX IN on the unit.
2 Plug the other end of the cable into the audio output/headphone output on your
MP3 player or other audio source.
3 Press the Power/Play/Pause button to turn the unit on.
4 If an iPod is docked into the system, please remove.
5 Audio played from the MP3 Player or other Audio Source will now be heard on
the Home Speaker system.

Playing your iPod through other speakers
1 Plug one end of a 3.5mm Cable (not
included) or a 3.5mm to stereo cable
R&L (not included) into the AUX OUT
on the unit.
2 Plug the other end of the cable into the
audio R & L inputs or the line-in input
on a television or stereo system.
3 Set the television or stereo system to
the appropriate audio input channel.
4 Press the POWER button to turn the
unit on.
5 Audio played from the music system
will now be heard through the
connected television or stereo system.

necessary a recommended glass cleaner.

Need something else?
Problem What to do
No power Check that the power is switched on at the wall.
Check if the power cord is properly connected to the power outlet.
No sound Check that the volume control is NOT at minimum setting.
Check that it is NOT set to mute.
Radio channel
reception is poor
Adjust the antenna location and position to obtain the best signal reception.
Tune to the correct radio channel frequency.
Function disturbed If none of the above solutions work, try switching off and unplugging your music system,
leaving it for two minutes and then switching it back on again.
The remote control
won’t work
Inspect or replace the batteries.
Make sure there are no obstacles obscuring the front of the player.
TFT display is frozen
(or partially frozen) with
a mosaic like pattern
ESD (electrostatic discharge) due to contact with the TFT screen frame.
Disconnect the unit from the power supply and then reconnect.

This product was designed and manufactured
to meet strict quality and safety standards.
There are, however, some operation
precautions that you should be aware of:
• Read all warnings.
• Follow all instructions.
• Check the mains voltage stated on
the mains adaptor rating plate
corresponds to the local electricity
supply, if it doesn’t, return the product
to the store where you bought it.
• Unwind and straighten the adaptor
cord before use.
• Place the product on a firm and
level surface.
• Turn off the appliance during
thunder storms.
• To completely disconnect this product
from the mains, disconnect the plug from
the wall socket outlet. The mains plug is
used to completely interrupt the power
supply to the unit and must be easily
operable by the user.
• Remove the adaptor from the outlet,
when the product is unused for a long
period of time and during thunderstorms.
• Clean only with a dry cloth, unplug
the outlet before cleaning. Do not
use aggressive cleaners as these will
damage the surface.
• Only use attachments/accessories
