Set up
Setting up your iPod Handbag
1 Plug the power cable into the AC IN
socket in the rear of your iPod Handbag.
2 Plug into a standard three pin wall
socket and switch the power on at
the wall.
Battery Power
When you’re away from a power source
you can use batteries to power your iPod
handbag as described below.
1 Remove the rear battery panel.
2 Insert 6 C size batteries (not included)
as shown.
3 Replace the rear battery panel.

Everyday use
Using the FM radio
Turn your iPod Handbag on using the
ON/OFF switch.
1 Select FM by using the SOURCE
SELECTOR switch on the top of your
iPod Handbag.
2 You can select the desired frequency by
turning the radio TUNING wheel on the
right panel of the unit.
3 Turn the wheel clockwise for lower
frequencies and anti-clockwise for
higher frequencies.
Using the telescopic aerial
For improved reception use the telescopic
aerial on the top of your handbag. The
aerial extends up and down but does not
move side to side. Under no circumstances
try to bend the aerial as this will damage
your iPod Handbag.
Note:
You can select the desired volume using
the VOLUME wheel on the left side panel.
Turn clockwise to turn the volume up, or
anti-clockwise to turn it down.

Playing your iPod
You can play your iPod through your
iPod Handbag. Connect your iPod to the
cradle on the front of the unit. To do this,
twist the ADJUSTABLE DOCK DIAL to
select the model of iPod you are docking.
iPod models and memory sizes that are not
listed on the ADJUSTABLE DOCK DIAL can
be connected by adjusting the dial to the
depth that fits the iPod best.
1 Select ON to turn the unit on.
3 Select iPod on the SOURCE SELECT
SWITCH to switch the unit to iPod mode.
4 The iPod will automatically begin playing
through the unit. Controls on the iPod
can be used to select songs and play
music as you would normally.
Note:
Charging your iPod
While the power is on, the unit will
automatically charge your iPod.
Connecting an external device
You can connect an external device to your iPod Handbag using 3.5mm line-in cable
(not included), as shown below. This will allow the device to play through your music system’s
speakers. You will need to purchase a line-in cable (for more information see www.asda.com).
Use the SOURCE SELECTOR switch to select LINE IN. Once the device is connected
you can control playback as you would usually.
You can turn the VOLUME WHEEL on the iPod Handbag to increase or reduce the volume.

Warnings
This product was designed and manufactured
to meet strict quality and safety standards.
There are, however, some operation
precautions that you should be aware of:
• Read all warnings.
• Follow all instructions.
• Check the mains voltage stated on
the mains adaptor rating plate
corresponds to the local electricity
supply, if it doesn’t, return the product
to the store where you bought it.
• Unwind and straighten the adaptor
cord before use.
• Place the product on a firm and
level surface.
• Turn off the appliance during
thunder storms.
• To completely disconnect this product
from the mains, disconnect the plug from
the wall socket outlet. The mains plug is
used to completely interrupt the power
supply to the unit and must be easily
operable by the user.
• Remove the adaptor from the outlet,
when the product is unused for a long
period of time and during thunderstorms.
• Clean only with a dry cloth, unplug
the outlet before cleaning. Do not
use aggressive cleaners as these will
damage the surface.
• Only use attachments/accessories
specified by the manufacturers.
• Do not locate the appliance in the
vicinity of a heat source or in direct
sunlight. Do not place a naked flame
source on or near this product.
• Do not attempt to open the cabinet
or remove any covers. If the power
adapter or its lead becomes damaged,
it must be replaced with an adapter
of the same type and rating.
• Repairs must only be performed by
the manufacturer or its service agent
or similarly qualified person.
• Do not immerse the main unit,
the power adapter or any accessories
in water or any other liquid.
• Do not expose this product to
dripping or splashing or stand
any vessel containing liquid on
or near this product.

Troubleshooting
Problem What to do
No power Check that the power is switched on at the wall.
Check if the power cord is properly connected to the power outlet.
No sound Check that the volume control is NOT at minimum setting.
Radio channel
reception is poor
Adjust the antenna location and position to obtain the best signal reception.
Tune to the correct radio channel frequency.
Function disturbed If none of the above solutions work, try switching off and unplugging your music system,
leaving it for two minutes and then switching it back on again.
