Preface:
The iMex FM-Power Transmitter is designed to heighten the enjoyable experience of your
MP3 Player. The MP3 player links to your car audio system allowing you and your buddies to
enjoy your personal choice of music. In addition, the transmitter comes complete with 3
pre-selected FM radio channels access able in a one-touch operation. If this is not enough, the
transmitter links with your mobile phone to provide hands free communication in complete
safety!
Feature:
The rapid growing popularity of the MP3 player has virtually replaced of the Walkman and
CD player as the portable music player of choice! MP3 players are compact and Multi-Function,
but have a few draw backs; they only playback through earphones.
To truly enjoy MP3 player experience with others, you can play MP3’s via the FP-802 and
utilize your car FM stereo channels to broadcast your music- all at a low cost.
FP-802 does not require any change or modifications to your car stereo system. It adopts
wireless transmission only, linking to the frequency modulation (FM) radio in your car, and as
such is useable almost everywhere. (Different channel in Japan)
FP-802 works in accord with your cell phone (mobile). If there is an incoming call you can
switch from listening to your MP3 music with a push of a button, and you will immediately be
able to communicate with your caller. At the end of the call you can switch back with a push of
a button and continue to enjoy your MP3 music. – you can have both entertainment and
communication in a safe manner as you drive!

Install Step:
1. Plug the MP3 jack & cell-phone jack into your MP3 earpiece and cell-phone sockets, please
find a suitable Cell-Phone Plug Adaptor and plug into your cell-phone (pic 4).
2. Cigarette DC cable to FP-802 DC socket first, the other end goes into the Car cigarette
charger the FP-802 LED is now ON (pic 5).
3. Set FP-802 and Car Audio FM radio frequency to 88.5 / 88.7 / 88.9 Mhz (both FP-802 and FM
radio must be set to the same frequency).
4. Test your MP3 function, the music will be broadcasted through your car stereo system (if
there is interference, please adjust to another frequency, there are 3 frequency available 88.5
/ 88.7 / 88.9 Mhz).
5. Test the cell-phone functions.
Make sure the omni-directional microphone can pickup and is clear (don’t forget to push MP3
/ Phone button to adjust). If your cell-phone has an MP3 function, set to MP3 / Phone button
to Phone, than you can play your cell-phone’s MP3 music.
6. When you have completed the test, fix (stick) the FP-802 to a convenient place (normally
stick close to the steering wheel) (pic 6).
7. FP-802 power is provided from the cigarette adaptor, when you turn your car off, the FP-802
will turn OFF automatically (you do need to power off your MP3 player!).
FAQ：
1. FP-802 power LED OFF:

(A) Automobile power not ON.
(B) Cigarette Adaptor defect.
(C) FP-802 defect.
2. FP-802 LED ON, but no music from Car stereo system:
(A) Push the MP3 / Phone button one time.
(B) Make sure your MP3 player is ON
(C) Make sure the Car Audio is ON and switch to one of the three FM channel 88.5 / 88.7 /
88.9 Mhz.
3. Interference:
(A) Make sure both FP-802 and FM frequency are the same.
(B) Interference from others, switch FP-802 and FM frequency to alternate frequency.
4. Can’t hear from Phone mode (MP3 function no problem):
(A) Some cell-phones do not support the earphone function.

Usage:
• FP-802 must be fixed in one position using provided sticker
• Plug into cigarette Jack
• Set FM on your car radio and select a vacant frequency of the three frequencies(88.5
88.7 88.9) from your car radio. If all of three frequencies are occupied by
broadcasting stations, choose any weakest frequency of the three frequencies. And
select same frequency using switch in FM transmitter. For example, If you set 88.7 on
Car Radio, then you must set 88.7 on FM Transmitter.
• You can switch MP3 mode to Cell Phone mode easily with pushing the MP3/Phone
button on FM transmitter.
Caution:
Changes or modifications to this unit not expressly approved by the party responsible for
compliance will void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. Any change to the equipment
will void FCC grant.
