A flow transmitter 8035 is made of an electronic module SE35 and a fitting S030 with inte-
grated paddle-wheel, which is the flow sensor: both parts ahve to be ordered separately.
This manual only includes the ordering codes of the electronic module SE35. The ordering
codes of the fitting S030 are listed in the corresponding data sheet.

Design and measuring principle2.5.
The flow transmitter 8025 in a compact version is made of a transducer with display com-•
bined in a housing and a flow sensor. The flow sensor has a built-in paddle-wheel.
The output signals are available at the terminals of a 4-pin EN 175301-803 male fixed
connector or of the terminal strip of the electronic board which can be accessed via two
cable glands.
The flow transmitter 8025 in a panel-mounted version is a transducer with display which•
can be installed on the door of an electric panel. It has to be connected to a flow sensor
8020 or 8030 with sinus or pulse output in a "Low Power" version only.
The output signals are available at the terminals of the terminal strip of the electronic
board, inside the cabinet.
The flow transmitter 8025 in a wall-mounted version is a transducer with display com-•
bined in a housing to be fitted to a wall. It has to be connected to a flow sensor 8020 or
8030 with sinus or pulse output in a "Low Power" version only.
The output signals are available at the terminals of the terminal strip of the electronic
board which can be accessed via three cable glands.
The flow transmitter 8035 is made of a transducer SE35 and a flow sensor, a fitting S030•
with integrated paddle-wheel.
Set in rotation by the flow, the 4 permanent magnets integrated in the vanes of the paddle
generate pulses in the receiver (with sinus output for a sensor with coil and with pulse
output for a sensor with hall) the frequency of which is proportional to the flow speed of the
fluid.
A conversion coefficient, called K factor, specific to each fitting (material and diameter) is
necessary to establish the flow value associated with the measurement.

INSTALLATION AND ELECTRICAL WIRING4.
Mounting instructions4.1.
The device has only been design to measure the flow rate of clean liquids.
Do not use the device to measure the flow rate of a gas.
Chemical compatibility of the material in contact with the fluid.
Always check the chemical compatibility of the materials the device is made of•
with the products it may be in contact with, for instance: alcohols, strong or concen-
trated acids, aldehydes, bases, esters, aliphatics, aromatics, ketones, aromatics or
halogenated hydrocarbons, oxidizing agents and chlorinated products.
Protect the device from electromagnetic perturbations, ultraviolet radiations
and, when installed outside, from the effects of climatic conditions.
Depending on the material of the fitting used , repect the dependency between fluid
pressure and fluid temperature:

Determine the appropriate pipe diameter using the annexed flow diagrams.

Install a compact verison of the 80254.1.1.
The compact flow transmitter 8025 can be installed on a pipe by means of a fitting S020.

Respect the installation instructions contained in the→instruction manual of the fitting used.
Insert the nut [3] on the fitting and clip the ring [2] into
→the groove [4].
Carefully insert the transmitter [1] into the fitting. If
→assembly is correct, the device can no longer rotate on
itself.
Only tighten the nut by hand!
Secure the unit with nut [3].

Assemble the 80354.1.2.
The flow transmitter 8035 can be installed on a pipe using a fitting S030.



Respect the installation instructions→contained in the instruction manual of the
fitting [1] used.
Insert the electronic module SE35 [2] into the→fitting S030 [1].
Fasten the electronic module to the fitting by
→turning it at 90 °.
Secure the unit by tightening the screw [3].→

Install a panel-mounted version of the 80254.1.3.
Install the panel-mounted version of the 8025 into an electrical cabinet with
IP54 minimum protection rating to ensure a degree of pollution 2 inside the
device.
Use the supplied drilling jig to cut away the necessary opening in the panel. Respect the
→dimensions indicated (see Fig. 4 ).
Place the gasket on the 4 screws of the cover. Use the 4 supplied M4*25 screws if the→panel door is too thick.
Place the cover + gasket set on the cut-away with the electronic board facing the inside→of the panel.
Insert the 4 washers onto the 4 screws and fit the device to the panel using the 4 nuts.

Connect according to instructions described at chapter→4.2.

Install a wall-mounted version of the 80254.1.4.
The bottom enclosure of the transmitter in a wall-mounted version has 4 fixing holes.
Remove the white blanking stripes, then open the housing cover to access the fixing
→holes [1].

Recommendations for the electrical wiring (all4.2.1.
versions)
Do not open nor wire while the device is powered.•
The electrical installation of the building where the device is installed must be• secured by a switch or a circuit breaker. Install it near the device and identify it as
the switchgear of the device.
Do not apply in the same cable both a dangerous voltage and a safety extra low• voltage to the relays.
Use safety devices for both:•
The power supply: a time-delay fuse (300 mA) and an interrupter-
Relays: a max. 3-A-fuse and a circuit breaker (depending on the application).-
Use cables with an operating limit temperature of at least 80 °C.•
Earth the device locally by using a wire with a cross section of at least 0,75 mm• 2.
Under normal operating conditions the measuring signal can be transmitted by a shielded•
cable with 0,75 mm2cross-section.
The line must not be installed in combination with carrying lines with a higher voltage•
or frequency; If a combined installation cannot be avoided, a minimum space of 30 cm
