tral heating and the instant production of
domestic hot water.
VICTRIX 26 2 I
VICTRIX 26 2 I is a wall-hung sealed instant boiler (type C)
with useful heat output of 23.6 kW (20,296 kcal/h) in central
heating mode and 26 kW (22,360 kcal/h) in domestic hot water
mode which, thanks to condensing technology, distinguishes
itself due to its high eciency and large eld of modulation
(from 10 % to 100 % of the nominal heat output).
e boiler has a total premix combustion system that gua-
rantees particularly reduced pollutant emissions and allows
functioning with natural gas or LPG.
e VICTRIX 26 2 I range are type-approved for installation
outside the building in a partially protected place.
N.B.: A partially protected location is one in which the appliance
is not exposed to the direct action of the weather (rain, snow,
hail, etc..).
Adjustment and control of the appliance are entrusted to a
P.C.B. with micro processor with continuous ame modulation
by means of 2 sensors (DHW and CH), which using a back-
lit display shows the boiler functioning status (temperatures,
safety devices, etc.)and allows connection (optional) to the
Comando Amico Remoto remote control. the external probe,
the zone control unit and the DIM (multi-system distribution
manifold).
e boiler uses a new condensation module; its inside part is
realised in a stainless steel coil shape and makes up the sealed
combustion chamber and the combustion chamber, while the
external part (casing) is made in composite material and also
encloses the ue hood.

Along with the pump, this unit houses the electric 3-way valve

cessity, the circulation of the boiler water in the central heating
system or in a stainless steel plate heat exchanger for the instant
production of domestic hot water.
A domestic hot water ow switch allows the activation of the
boiler in the case of the request for domestic hot water, while
a system ow switch controlling the correct circulation of
water in the boiler allows the activation of the boiler both for
a domestic hot water and central heating request.
e boiler has anti-freeze safety device as per standard that
protects it to a minimum temperature of -5°C (optional to
-15°C).
e VICTRIX 26 2 I boiler must be installed using the intake/
exhaust kits or the ducting systems (Ø 60 mm rigid, Ø 80 mm
rigid and Ø 80 mm exible) realised in plastic and designed
expressly for Immergas condensing boilers.

is started every time there is a central heating or domestic
hot water request.
Operation (see VICTRIX 26 2 I hydraulic dia-
gram).
e heat contained in the combustion products is absorbed
by the pipes of the water-gas primary heat exchanger with coil
inserted in the condensation module (16) which then gives
the heat up to the water made to circulate inside the boiler
pump (31).
e water is introduced directly into the system or can be
diverted inside the stainless steel instant plate heat exchanger
(32).

is depends on the position of the motorised 3-way valve (33),
which at rest allows ow towards the domestic hot water heat
exchanger (32), while following a central heating request causes
diversion towards the system ow (M) and return (R) pipes.

available to the system, depends on the functioning speed of
the pump and insertion or not of the system automatic by-pass
which, allows to set greater or less head on the system.

Boiler pump (1).
Operates on the primary circuit return. It is part of the pump
body unit realised in composite material.
ere is a seat where the automatic air vent valve (2) is housed
with O-ring sealing.
To remove the air vent valve from the pump body, turn the
valve by a quarter turn in an anti-clockwise direction.

Primary heat exchanger
(condensation module).
It is formed by a casing that contains 3 or 4 (according to the
model) coil-shaped elements.
Each element is made up from 4 elliptical spirals (3).
e internal part is realised in stainless steel and makes up the
sealed combustion chamber and the condensation chamber
(2), the external part (casing) is realised in composite mate-
rial and also encloses the ue hood (4) for the evacuation of
combustion products.

the cylindrical burner applied to the front, while the third is
arranged in the condensation chamber, which is separated from
the combustion chamber by sheet steel (see ue circuit).

the cylindrical burner applied to the front, while the fourth is
arranged in the condensation chamber, which is separated from
the combustion chamber by sheet steel (see ue circuit).
To reduce head losses to a minimum and increase the ow rate
available to the system, the ow is made up from the parallel
connection of the rst two elements, the return, instead is
made up from the parallel connection of the last two elements
(1 element for VICTRIX X 12 2 I).
e heat exchanger inlet is connected to the pump ow and the
outlet, on which the NTC central heating probe is positioned
(1), is connected to the primary circuit ow.
e coupling to the primary circuit ow and return pipes
is the push-tting type with O-ring seal and blocked by the
relevant clips.
e condensate drain is also found in the lower part.
To ease the escape of any air bubbles still present in the coils,
there is a manual air vent in the upper part of the module
(5).

DOMESTIC HOT WATER

Motorised three-way valve for instant versions
only.
It is made up from a small electric motor (1) connected, by
means of a relevant clip, to the 3-way valve group (2).
According to the request (DHW or CH), the 3-way valve allows
to introduce boiler water into the central heating system or
into the domestic hot water heat exchanger (plate).
is depends on the position of the shutter (4) which, closes
the passage towards the system opening it at the same time
towards the domestic hot water heat exchanger (DHW position)
or vice versa (CH position).
Motor operation (1) is activated by the P.C.B. and, at every
180° rotation, leads to the shifting of the shutter (4) in both
positions (DHW or CH).
e hydraulic part is made up from a brass unit (2).
Operation in central heating phase.
e shutter (4) contrast spring (3) is not compressed(central
heating position), keeping the passage towards the domestic hot
water heat exchanger closed (plate) and keeping the passage
towards the system ow open.
Both the spring (3) and the shutter (4) are situated inside the
brass 3-way valve group body (2).
Operation in central domestic hot water phase.
e hydraulic unit is always positioned in the DHW phase.
e small electric motor (1) pushes the stem (5) to which the
shutter is connected, (4) which closes the passage towards the
system and opening it at the same time towards the domestic
hot water heat exchanger (plate). e shutter (4) contrast spring
(3) is compressed (domestic hot water position).
Both the spring (3) and the shutter (4) are situated inside the
brass 3-way valve group body (2).

System automatic by-pass (4).
Guarantees the circulation of water in the primary circuit
(between ow and return) also when the high resistance of the
system does not allow it.
It is mounted between the pump body and the 3-way valve
group.
It can be inserted or excluded by the screw (4) accessed from
the front. With the cut on the head of the screw in horizontal
position, the by-pass is inserted (open), with the cut on the
head of the screw in vertical position; the by-pass is excluded
(closed).
System ling unit (7).
It is a cock positioned between the boiler circuit and the dome-
stic cold water inlet that allows to pressurise the CH system.
e lling unit is connected to the DHW ow switch (6) by
a threaded tting and is connected to the pump unit (2) by
O-ring gaskets.
System ow switch (5).
When faced with circulation of water with a ow rate of at
least 400 l/h, the system ow switch (5) enables boiler fun-
ctioning.
is takes place by means of a disc connected to a micro switch,
which, on lifting when it is hit by the ow of water, closes the
electric contact.
e closure of the contact, which is positioned out of the pipe
where the water passes, allows the integrated P.C.B. to start
boiler functioning.
e ow switch (5) is push-tted onto the system return pipe
(heat exchanger ow) and blocked by two relevant shaped
clips.
e body is made up of two plastic parts that are xed to each
other by two self-threading screws.
Automatic air vent valve (1).
Allows the automatic expulsion of the gaseous substances that
may be present in the boiler circuit.
It is mounted on the pump directly on the body (2).
3 bar safety valve (3).
Prevents the safety pressure in the primary circuit from being
exceeded (3 bar).
It is engaged into the front part of the pump body (2) and is
xed using a clip.
Its intervention causes water to escape from the boiler re-
turn.
System expansion vessel (8).
It compensates the volume variation consequent to heating
the water, thus limiting the pressure variations.
It has a capacity of 8 litres (useful 5.7 litres) and a factory-set
pressure of 1.0 bar.
It is positioned on the right side of the boiler at the side of
the sealed chamber and is connected to the cold water inlet
collector by means of a copper pipe.

It is engaged into the front part of the pump body (2) and is
xed using a clip.
Its intervention causes water to escape from the boiler return.
System expansion vessel (8).
It compensates the volume variation consequent to heating the
water, thus limiting the pressure variations.
It has a capacity of 8 litres (useful 5.7 litres) and a factory-set
pressure of 1.0 bar.
It is positioned on the right side of the boiler at the side of the se-
aled chamber and is connected to the lling tting (6) by means
of a copper pipe, which is connected to the pump body (2).

Operation.
A DHW withdrawal leads to the passage of cold water inside
the DHW ow switch (1) and the consequent closure of the
electric contact coupled to it (see electric circuit).
Following this, the integrated P.C.B. starts the domestic hot
water priority functioning phase that leads to burner ignition
and, whenever a central heating request is in progress, the di-
version of the 3-way valve (2) and its consequent shifting into
the work position (see hydraulic 3-way valve functioning).
is leads to the closure of the ow pipe (M) and the simulta-
neous opening of the passage towards the domestic hot water
heat exchanger (3).
In this way circulation is prevented in the central heating plant
while it is allowed in the plate heat exchanger, inside which the
domestic cold water absorbs the heat contained in the primary
circuit water (see domestic hot water heat exchanger).
e CH function is excluded in this phase, over which the
production of DHW has priority.
e water/water heat exchange takes place inside the domestic
hot water heat exchanger (3), which is xed using screws to
the domestic hot water inlet (1) and to the domestic hot water
outlet (2).
e top part of the left body allows the inlet of domestic cold
water, while the lower part allows the return of the primary
circuit.
In the same way, the top part of the right body allows output
of domestic cold water and the ow of the primary circuit in
the lower part.
e domestic hot water probe (4) is present on the domestic
hot water outlet pipe (5), which allows the integrated P.C.B.
to detect the temperature of the domestic hot water.

Domestic hot water ow switch (2).
With respect to a withdrawal of DHW with a ow rate of at
least 1.5 l/min and a dynamic pressure of 0.3 bar, the ow
switch (2) enables the boiler functioning in DHW mode.
is takes place by means of a magnet which, lifting when
it is hit by the ow of domestic cold water, approaches an
electric contact (reed relay) and causes shifting due to the
magnetic eect.
e closure of the contact, which is positioned out of the pipe
where the water passes, allows the P.C.B. to start the priority
DHW functioning mode.
It is made up from two parts (one in brass and one in plastic)
that are coupled and blocked by a pin.
A G1/4" thread is present on the body to which the system
lling unit is connected (3).
A 8.75 l/min ow limiter is inserted at the outlet of the ow
switch (1) (at 2 bar).
DHW heat exchanger.
It is a water/water heat exchanger made up from N° 14 stainless
steel plates overlapping each other, over which boiler circuit
water and domestic cold water ows in counter-current mode
and through which the heat exchange of the two liquids takes
place.
Hydraulic coupling is obtained by the four O-ring seals (1)
that allow to push-t it directly to the domestic hot water inlet
body and to the domestic hot water outlet body.
