- installation(accordingtothe provisions oftechnical legislationand technicalregulations);
- maintenanceoperations(including scheduled,periodic,routine andspecial maintenance);
- removal (to outdoors in the place for loading and transporting the appliances and components) as well as the eventual re-
placementofthosewith appliances and/orequivalentcomponents.
e wall surface must be smooth, without any protrusions or recesses enabling access to the rear part. ey are not designed to

Byvaryingthe typeof installationthe classicationof theapplianceandprecisely:
- Type B23 or B53 appliance if installed using the relevant terminal for air intake directly from the room in which the appliance
has beeninstalled.
- Type C appliance if installed using concentric pipes or other types of pipes envisioned for the sealed chamber appliance for
intakeof air andexpulsionof uegas.
Onlyprofessionallyenabled companies areauthorisedtoinstallImmergas gas appliances.
Installation must be carried out according to regulation standards, current legislation and in compliance with local technical
regulations and the required technical procedures.

Check the environmental operating conditions of all parts relevant to installation, referring to the values shown in the techni-
cal datatablein this booklet.
Installation oftheappliancewhenpoweredbyLPGorpropaneair mustcomplywiththerules
regardinggaseswithagreaterdensity thanair(remember, asan example,thatitisprohibited
to install plants powered with the above-mentioned gas in rooms where the oor is at a lower
quotathanthecountrylevel).
If installing a kit or servicing the appliance, always empty the system’s domestic hot water circuit rst so as not to compromise
theappliance’s electricalsafety(Parag. 2.9, 2.10).
Alwaysdisconnect theappliancefromvoltageand, depending onthetype ofoperation, decrease thepressureand/or bring itto
zero inthe gas andDHWcircuits.
If the appliance is connectedto a lowtemperaturedirectzone,itis necessary tocheck the necessary owrateand possiblyadd a
relaunch pump.
Packing materials (staples, nails, plastic bags, polystyrene foam, etc.) constitute a hazard and must be kept out of the reach of
children.
If the appliance is installed inside or between cabinets, ensure sucient space for routine servicing; for minimum installation
distances, seeFig. 3.
Beforeinstalling theappliance, ensurethat itisdeliveredin perfect condition;if in doubt, contact the supplierimmediately.
Itisjustasimportantthattheintakegridsandexhaustterminalsarenotobstructed.
Check that no ue gas recirculation is found in the air sample points. Allow the appliance to
reach the maximum heat output; theCO2value measured in the air must be less than 10% of
thatmeasuredontheuegas.

Keep allammableobjects awayfromtheappliance(paper, rags, plastic, polystyrene,etc.).

Do not place household appliances underneath the appliance as they could be damaged if the safety valve intervenes, if the
drain trap is blocked, or if there areleaks fromthe hydraulicconnections; otherwise, themanufacturer cannotbe held respon-
sibleforanydamagecausedtothe householdappliances.
Fortheaforementioned reasons, werecommendnotplacing furnishings, furniture, etc.undertheappliance.

Do not install in places/rooms that constitute public areas of apartment buildings, internal
stairwaysorotherescaperoutes(e.g.oorlandings,entrancehalls,etc.).
Installationisalsoforbiddeninplaces/roomsthatconstitutepublicareasofapartmentbuild-
ings such as cellars, entrance halls, attics, los, etc., unless otherwise provided for by local
regulationsinforce.
ese appliances, if not adequately isolated, are not suitable for installation on walls of com-
bustible material.

e recessed frame kit ensures appropriate support only if installed correctly (according to the rules of good practice), following the in-
structionsonitsinstructionsleaet.

insidethewall.
Forsafety reasonsagainstanyleaksit is necessary to plasterthe boilerhousingin thebrickwall.

if inserted correctly (according to technical standards) in walls made of solid or semi-hollow brick or block. In the case of walls made
from hollow brick or block, partitions with limited static properties, or in any case walls other than those indicated, a static test must be
carriedoutto ensureadequatemount.

Make sure thecombustionair is notfedthroughchimneys thatwerepreviously used with boilers orothercentral heatingappli-
ances poweredbyliquid orsolidfuels. In fact,thesemaycausean accumulationofsootin thechimney

During installation and maintenance, do not use spray or liquids in the upper area of the gas valve (side referring to the electric
connections).
Fillingthecondensatedraintrap
Whentheapplianceisswitchedonforthersttime,combustionproductscomeoutofthecon-
densatedrain.Aerafewminutesofoperation,checkthatcombustionuegasesarenolonger
coming out of the condensate drain; this means that the drain trap has lled to a correct con-
densateheightthattheuegasescannotpassthrough.
SpecialprovisionsforappliancesinstalledinB23orB53conguration.
TypeBopenchamberappliancesmustnotbeinstalledinplaceswherecommercial,artisanor
industrial activities take place, which use products that may develop volatile vapours or sub-
stances(e.g.acidvapours, glues,paints,solvents,combustibles,etc.),as wellas dusts(e.g.dust
deriving from the working of wood, coal nes, cement, etc.). ese may be damaging for the
componentsoftheapplianceandjeopardisefunctioning.

Unless otherwise provided for by local regulations in force, in congurations B23 and B53, the
boilers must not be installed in bedrooms, bathrooms or bedsits. Moreover, they must not be
installedinplaceswheresolidfuelheatgeneratorsarepresent andinadjoiningrooms.
e installation rooms must be permanently ventilated, in compliance with the local regula-
tions in force (at least 6 cm² for every kW of installed heat input, except in the event of any in-
creasesneededforelectro-mechanicalvacuumcleanersorotherdevicesthatcouldputthein-
stallationroomundervacuum).
Install theappliances in B23 and B53 congurationin non-residential premisesand whichare permanently ventilated.
Failuretocomplywiththeaboveimpliespersonalresponsibilityandinvalidatesthewarranty.

1.4 ANTIFREEZEPROTECTION
Minimum temperature-5°C
eappliance comes standardwithan antifreeze functionthat activatesthepumpandburnerwhenthesystemwater temperature in the
appliance falls below4°C.
In these conditions, previously listed,theappliance isprotectedagainst freezing upto anambienttemperature of-5°C.
If theapplianceisinstalled in a place wherethe temperaturedropsbelow-5°C,the appliance mayfreeze.
Topreventtheriskoffreezingfollowtheinstructionsbelow:
eexcessive useof glycol couldjeopardise theproper functioningof theappliance.
- Protectthe centralheating circuitfromfreezing byinserting agood-qualityantifreeze liquidintothis circuit,which is specially suited
for central heating systems and which is manufacturer guaranteed not to cause damage to the heat exchanger or other components of
the appliance. e antifreeze liquid must not be harmful to one's health. e instructions of the manufacturer of this liquid must be
strictlyfollowedregardingthenecessarypercentagewith respectto theminimum temperature atwhich thesystemmust be kept.
- ematerialsused forthe central heating circuitof Immergasappliances resistethyleneandpropyleneglycolbasedantifreeze liquids
(ifthemixtures arepreparedperfectly).
Minimum temperature-15°C
Protect the domestic hot water circuit against freezing by using an accessory that is supplied on request (antifreeze kit) comprising two
electric heating elements, the relevant wiring and a control thermostat (carefully read the installation instructions contained in the ac-
cessory kit pack).
In the previously listed conditions ad with the addition of the antifreeze kit, the appliance is protected against freezing up to a
temperature of-15°C.
Appliance antifreeze protectionisthusonlyensured if:
- theapplianceiscorrectlyconnectedto gasand electricitypowersupplycircuits;
- theapplianceispoweredconstantly;
- theapplianceisnotin “o” mode.
- theapplianceisnotin anomaly conditions(Par. 2.5);
- theapplianceessentialcomponentsare notfaulty.
e warranty does not cover damage due to interruption of the electrical power supply and failure to comply with that stated on the pre-
vious page.
If the appliance is installed in places where the temperature falls below -5°C the domestic hot water and central heating attach-
mentpipesandthecondensatedrainpipe mustbeinsulated.
e antifreeze systems described in this chapter are only to protect the appliance; the presence of these functions and devices
does notexclude thepossibility ofpartsofthesystem ordomestic hotwater circuitoutsidethe appliance fromfreezing.

- Install thebracket (2)insidethe recessed frame xingit withthe screws(3)in thepre-drilledholes(Fig. 4).
- Wall-mountthe boiler(4)byinsertingthe hooksof thebracket (2)in therelative seats(Fig. 5).
- eboiler (4) is nowmounted insidethe recessed frame (1) (Fig. 6).

1.7 GAS CONNECTION
Ourboilers aredesigned tooperatewith methanegas(G20)LPG andpropane air (50%air- 50% propane).Powersupplypipes mustbethe
sameas orlarger thanthe boilertting.
Before connecting the gas line, carefully clean inside all the fuel feed system pipes to remove any residue that could impair ap-
plianceeciency.
Also make surethe gas corresponds to thatforwhich theapplianceisprepared (seeappliancedata nameplate).
If dierent, theboiler must be converted foroperationwith theother type ofgas (seeconverting appliance forothergastypes).
Itisalsoimportanttocheckthedynamicpressureofthemains(methaneorLPG)usedtosup-
ply the boiler, which must comply with EN 437 and its attachment, as insucient levels may
reducegeneratoroutputandcausediscomforttotheuser.
Static/dynamicnetworkpressureshigherthanthoserequiredforregularoperationmaycause
seriousdamagetotheappliancecontrolelements;inthiscaseshutthegaslineo.
Donotoperatethedevice.
Havethedevicecheckedbyexperiencedpersonnel.
Accordingto thelocal regulationin force,makesure thata gascockisinstalled upstream ofeachconnectionbetween theappli-
ance and the gas system. is cock, if supplied by the appliance’s manufacturer, can be directly connected to the appliance (i.e.
downstream fromthe pipesconnecting thesystemto theappliance),accordingto themanufacturer’sinstructions.
e Immergas connection unit, supplied as an optional kit, also includes the gas cock, whose installation instructions are pro-
videdin thekit.
In anycase,makesure thegascock is connected properly.
egassupplypipemust besuitablydimensionedaccordingto currentregulationsinordertoguarantee correct gas owrateto theburn-
ereveninconditions ofmaximumgeneratoroutputandto guarantee appliance eciency (technical specications).

- New LPG storage tanks may contain residual inert gases (nitrogen) that degrade the mixture delivered to the appliance casing func-
tioning anomalies.
- Due to the composition of the LPG mixture, layering of the mixture components may occur during the period of storage in the tanks.

1.8 HYDRAULIC CONNECTION
In ordernotto voidthecondensationmodule warranty, beforemakingthe device connections, carefully clean the heating sys-
tem (pipes, radiators, etc.) with special pickling or descaling products to remove any deposits that could compromise correct
device operation(UNI8065).

e drain of the safety valve must always be properly conveyed to a draining funnel; consequently, in case of valve operation, the leaked
uidwill endupinthe sewersystem.
Condensatedrain
To drain the condensate produced by the appliance, it is necessary to connect to the drainage system by means of acid condensate resist-
antpipes, withan internalØof atleast 13mm.
e system connecting the appliance to the drainage system must be carried out in such a way as to prevent occlusion and freezing of the
liquidcontainedinit.
Beforeappliance ignition,ensurethatthecondensate can be correctly removed. Aer rstignition,checkthatthedrain trapislled with
condensate.
Also, complywithnationaland local regulationson dischargingwastewaters.
In theeventcondensateisnotdischarged intothewastewaterdrainage system, acondensateneutraliser must be installedto ensurecom-
pliance withthe parametersestablished by thelegislationin force.
Atreatmentoftheheatingand watersystem water is required, incompliance withthe technicalstandards inforce,in ordertoprotectthe
systemand theappliancefromdeposits (e.g. scale),slurryor otherhazardousdeposits.
In ordernotto voidtheheatexchanger warranty, youare required tocomplywith what has beenprescribed(Par. 1.24).
Hydraulic connectionsmust be made ina rationalwayusing thecouplings onthe appliance template.
emanufacturerdeclines all liability in the eventofdamage caused bythe installationofanautomatic lling system.
In order to meet the system requirements established by EN 1717 in terms of pollution of drinking water, we recommend installing the
IMMERGAS anti-backow kit to be used upstream of the cold water inlet connection of the appliance. We also recommend using cate-
gory 2 heattransferuid(e.g.: water+glycol)in theappliance'sprimarycircuit(C.H. circuit),as denedin standardEN 1717.
To preserve the duration of appliance eciency features, in the presence of water whose features can lead to the deposit of lime
scale,installationofthe“polyphosphatedispenser” kitisrecommended .

To carryoutelectrical connections, allyouhavetodoisopen theconnectionscompartmentasfollows.
Removethecasing:
1. Loosen thescrew(a)at thebottom.
2. Rotatethe controlpanel andthen loosen thescrew (b) that securesthe control panel’s(d)cover.
3. Press the three hooks(c)onthecover(d).
4. Removethe cover(d)fromthe controlpanel (e).
Atthispoint, itispossibleto access the terminalboard(f).

case, itissuitableto adda specicsafetykit(optional)madeup ofa thermostat(withadjustabletemperature).
