1 UNITINSTALLATION
1.1 INSTALLATIONWARNINGS
Operatorswhoinstallandservicetheappliancemustwearthepersonalprotectiveequipment

isappliancehas been designed forwall mounted installationonly,forcentral heating (andproduction ofdomestichotwater
fordomesticuseand similar purposes ifpairedwith astorage tank unit).
eplace ofinstallationoftheapplianceand relative Immergas accessories must havesuitablefeatures (technicalandstructur-
al),such asto allowfor(alwaysin safe, ecientand comfortable conditions):
- installation(according tothe provisionsoftechnical legislationand technicalregulations);
- maintenanceoperations(including scheduled,periodic,routine andspecial maintenance);
- removal (to outdoors in the place for loading and transporting the appliances and components) as well as the eventual re-
placementofthosewith appliances and/orequivalentcomponents.
e wall surface must be smooth, without any protrusions or recesses enabling access to the rear part. ey are not designed to
beinstalled onplinths oroors(Fig. 1).
Byvaryingthe typeof installationtheclassicationof theapplianceand precisely:
- Type B23 or B53 appliance if installed using the relevant terminal for air intake directly from the room in which the appliance
has beeninstalled.
- Type C appliance if installed using concentric pipes or other types of pipes envisioned for the sealed chamber appliance for
intakeof air andexpulsionof uegas.

e manufacturer declines all liability in the event of damage caused by appliances removed from other systems or for any
non-conformities with such equipment.
Check the environmental operating conditions of all parts relevant to installation, referring to the values shown in the techni-
cal datatablein this booklet.
InstallationoftheappliancewhenpoweredbyLPGorpropaneairmustcomplywiththerules
regardinggaseswithagreaterdensitythanair (remember,asanexample,thatitis prohibited
to install plants powered with the above-mentioned gas in rooms where the oor is at a lower
quotathanthecountrylevel).
If installing akitor servicing the appliance,alwaysempty the system’scircuitrstsoas notto compromise theappliance’s elec-
tricalsafety(Parag. 2.9).
Alwaysdisconnect theappliancefromvoltageand, dependingonthetype ofoperation, decrease thepressureand/orbring itto
zero inthe gas andDHWcircuits.
Beforeinstalling theappliance, ensurethat itisdeliveredin perfect condition;if in doubt, contact the supplierimmediately.
Packing materials (staples, nails, plastic bags, polystyrene foam, etc.) constitute a hazard and must be kept out of the reach of
children.
If the appliance is installed inside or between cabinets, ensure sucient space for normal servicing; therefore it is advisable to
leave clearance of at least 3 cm between the boiler casing and the vertical sides of the cabinet. Leave adequate space above and
belowtheboiler toenableinterventionsonthe water andueremoval connections(Fig.3).
Itisjustasimportantthattheintakegridsandexhaustterminalsarenotobstructed.
It is recommended to check that no ue gas recirculation is found in the air sample points
(0.5%maximumpermittedCO2).
Keep allammableobjects awayfromtheappliance(paper,rags, plastic, polystyrene,etc.).
Splitexahust ductsmustnotpass through walls ofammable material.
Do not place household appliances underneath the appliance as they could be damaged if the safety valve intervenes, if the
drain trap is blocked, or if there areleaks fromthe hydraulicconnections; otherwise, themanufacturer cannotbe held respon-
sibleforanydamagecausedtothe householdappliances.
Fortheaforementioned reasons, werecommendnotplacing furnishings, furniture, etc.undertheappliance.
In the event of malfunctions, faults or incorrect operation, turn the appliance o and contact an authorised company (e.g. the
Authorised TechnicalAssistance Centre,which hasspecicallytrained sta andoriginalspare parts).

Fillingthecondensatedraintrap
Whentheapplianceisswitchedonforthersttime,combustionproductscomeoutofthecon-
densatedrain.Aerafewminutesofoperation,checkthatcombustionuegasesarenolonger
coming out of the condensate drain; this means that the drain trap has lled to a correct con-
densateheightthattheuegasescannotpassthrough.
TypeBopenchamberappliancesmustnotbeinstalledinplaceswherecommercial,artisanor
industrial activities take place, which use products that may develop volatile vapours or sub-
stances(e.g.acidvapours, glues,paints,solvents,combustibles,etc.),aswell asdusts(e.g.dust
deriving from the working of wood, coal nes, cement, etc.). ese may be damaging for the
componentsoftheapplianceandjeopardise functioning.
In conguration B23 and B53, unless local regulations are in force, the appliances must not be
installed in bedrooms, bathrooms, toilets or studios; they must neither be installed in rooms
containingsolidfuelheatgeneratorsnorinroomscommunicatingwithsaidrooms.
e installation rooms must be permanently ventilated, in compliance with the local regula-
tions in force (at least 6 cm2for every kW of installed heat input, except in the event of any in-
creasesneededforelectro-mechanicalvacuumcleanersorotherdevicesthatcouldputthein-
stallationroomundervacuum).
Install theappliances in B23 and B53 congurationin non-residential premisesandwhichare permanently ventilated.
Failuretocomplywiththeaboveimpliespersonalresponsibilityandinvalidatesthewarranty.

1.4 ANTIFREEZEPROTECTION

e appliance comes as per standard with an antifreeze function that activates the pump and the burner when the system water temper-
aturein theappliancefallsbelow4°C.
In these conditions, previously listed, theapplianceis protectedagainst freezing upto anambienttemperature of-5°C.
If theapplianceisinstalled in a place wherethe temperaturedropsbelow-5°C,the appliance mayfreeze.
Topreventtheriskoffreezing followtheinstructionsbelow:
eexcessive useof glycol couldjeopardise theproper functioningof theappliance.
- Protectthe centralheatingcircuitfromfreezingby inserting a good-qualityantifreeze liquidintothiscircuit, whichisspeciallysuited
forcentral heating systems andwhich is manufacturerguaranteednottocausedamage tothe heat exchanger orothercomponentsof
the appliance. e antifreeze liquid must not be harmful to one's health. e instructions of the manufacturer of this liquid must be
strictlyfollowedregardingthenecessarypercentagewith respectto theminimum temperature atwhich thesystemmust be kept.
- ematerialsused forthecentralheatingcircuitofImmergasappliances resist ethyleneand propyleneglycolbased antifreezeliquids
(if themixtures areprepared perfectly).
- An aqueoussolution mustbemadewith potential pollutionclassof water 2(EN 1717:2002 orlocal standardsinforce).
Follow the supplier's instructions for the life cycle duration and possible disposal of the anti-
freeze liquid.

Minimum temperature-15°C
In the previously listed conditions ad with the addition of the antifreeze kit, the appliance is protected against freezing up to a
temperature of-15°C.
Protect the domestic hot water circuit (when paired with a storage tank unit) against freezing by using an accessory that is supplied on
request (antifreeze kit) comprising an electric resistance, the relevant wiring and a control thermostat (carefully read and follow the in-
stallationinstructionscontained intheaccessorykitpack).
Appliance antifreeze protectionisthusonlyensured if:
- theapplianceis correctlyconnectedtogasand electricity powersupplycircuits;
- theapplianceis poweredconstantly;
- theapplianceis notin “o” mode.
- theapplianceis notin anomalyconditions(Parag. 2.5);
- theapplianceessentialcomponentsare notfaulty.
e warranty does not cover damage due to interruption of the electrical power supply and failure to comply with that stated on the pre-
viouspages.
If the appliance is installed in places where the temperature falls below -5°C the domestic hot water and central heating attach-
mentpipesandthecondensatedrainpipe mustbeinsulated.
e antifreeze systems described in this chapter are only to protect the appliance; the presence of these functions and devices
does notexclude thepossibility ofpartsofthesystem ordomestic hotwater circuitoutsidethe appliance fromfreezing.

- Install thebracket (2) insidetherecessedframexing itwiththescrews (3)inthepre-drilled holes (Fig. 4).
- Hangthe boiler(4) tothe bracket(2) (Fig. 5).
- Block theboiler (4)by mounting thebrackets(5)andxing themwith theirscrews (6)(Fig. 6).
e brackets (5) used to centre the appliance on the frame and hold it in place stop against the frame (1) so do not require xing to the
frame itself.

1.7 GAS CONNECTION
Ourappliances arebuiltto workwithnatural gas (G20),LPG andmixturesof methaneand hydrogenat20% involume (G20Y20).Power
supplypipesmustbe the sameas orlarger thantheappliance tting.
Before connecting the gas line, carefully clean inside all the fuel feed system pipes to remove any residue that could impair ap-
plianceeciency.
Also make surethe gas corresponds to thatforwhich theapplianceisprepared (seeappliancedata nameplate).
If dierent, theboiler must be converted foroperationwith theother typeofgas (see convertingapplianceforothergas types).
Itisalsoimportanttocheckthedynamicpressureofthemains(methaneorLPG)used tosup-
ply the boiler, which must comply with EN 437 and its attachment, as insucient levels may
reducegeneratoroutputandcausediscomforttotheuser.
Static/dynamicnetworkpressureshigherthanthoserequiredforregularoperationmaycause
seriousdamagetotheappliancecontrolelements;inthiscaseshutthegaslineo.
Donotoperatethedevice.
Havethedevicecheckedbyexperiencedpersonnel.
According to the local regulation in force, make sure that a gas cock is installed upstream of each connection between the ap-
pliance and the gas system. is cock, if supplied by the appliance’s manufacturer, can be directly connected to the appliance
(i.e.downstream fromthepipes connectingthesystem totheappliance),according to themanufacturer’s instructions.
e Immergas connection unit, supplied as an optional kit, also includes the gas cock, whose installation instructions are
provided in the kit.
In anycase,makesure thegascock is connected properly.
egassupplypipemust besuitablydimensionedaccordingto currentregulationsinordertoguarantee correct gas owrateto theburn-
ereveninconditions ofmaximumgeneratoroutputandto guarantee appliance eciency (technical specications).

tioning anomalies.
- Due to thecompositionof theLPG mixture, layering of themixture componentsmay occurduring the period ofstorage in the tanks.

1.8 HYDRAULIC CONNECTION
In order not to void the condensation module warranty before making the boiler connections, carefully clean the heating sys-
tem (pipes, radiators, etc.) with special pickling or descaling products to remove any deposits that could compromise correct
boiler operation.
Atreatmentoftheheatingandwatersystem water is required, incompliance withthe technicalstandards inforce,in ordertoprotectthe
systemand theappliancefromdeposits (e.g.scale),slurry orotherhazardousdeposits.
In ordernotto voidtheheat exchanger warranty,youare required tocomplywith what has beenprescribed in (Par.1.24).
Hydraulic connectionsmust be made ina rationalwayusing thecouplings onthe appliance template.
emanufacturerdeclines all liability in the eventofdamage caused bythe installationofanautomatic lling system.
In order to meet the system requirements established by EN 1717 in terms of pollution of drinking water, we recommend installing the
IMMERGAS anti-backow kit to be used upstream of the cold water inlet connection of the appliance. We also recommend using cate-
gory 2 heattransferuid(e.g.:water+glycol)inthe appliance'sprimarycircuit (C.H.circuit),as dened instandardEN1717.
To preserve the duration of appliance eciency features, in the presence of water whose features can lead to the deposit of lime
scale,installationofthe “polyphosphatedispenser” kitisrecommended .
3barsafetyvalve
Dischargeof the safety valve hasbeen conveyedto the condensate draintrapoutlet.Consequently, in theeventof valve intervention, the
discharged liquidwill endup inthe sewer systemthrough thedrainpipeofthe condensate drain trap.
In anycase,the lowerpartoftheapplianceis tted witha draintting(Ref. 3,Fig. 7)with therelativeclosure cap tocheck forthepresence
ofliquidin thedischargecircuit andto check theinterventionofthe3 barsafetyvalve.
Condensatedrain
To drain the condensate produced by the appliance, it is necessary to connect to the drainage system by means of acid condensate resist-
antpipes, withan internalØof atleast 13mm.
e system connecting the appliance to the drainage system must be carried out in such a way as to prevent occlusion and freezing of the
liquidcontainedinit.
Beforeappliance ignition,ensurethatthecondensate can be correctly removed. Aer rstignition,check thatthe drain trap islledwith
condensate.
Also, complywithnationaland local regulationson dischargingwastewaters.
In theeventcondensateisnotdischarged intothe wastewaterdrainage system, acondensateneutraliser must be installedto ensurecom-
pliance withthe parametersestablished by thelegislationin force.

ToprotectfrompossibledispersionsofDCvoltage,itisnecessarytoprovideatypeAdieren-
tialsafetydevice.
If the power supply cable is damaged, it must be replaced by a special cable or assembly, which
are only available from the manufacturer or its Authorised Aer-Sales Technical Assistance
Centre.
It is recommended to contact a qualied company (e.g. the Authorised Aer-Sales Technical
AssistanceCentre) forreplacementtoavoidahazard.

If the network fuse indicated in the wiring diagram (Fig. 39) as component “F1” on the P.C.B. needs to be changed, this operation must

Connect terminals 36 and 37 to electrically connect the boiler to the storage tank unit, elimi-
