IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the
following:
• Read all instructions before use.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
• To protect against electric shock, do not immerse cord, plug, variable temperature control, or
appliance in water or any other liquid.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used near children.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off
parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or
has been damaged in any manner.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• The use of attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause fire, electric
shock or injuries.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
• Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
• To disconnect the appliance, turn any control to off (if applicable), then remove plug from wall outlet.
• Do not use appliances for anything other than their intended use.
• Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during the boiling cycles.
• Use only water in this appliance. Do not put any other liquids or foods in the water reservoir.
• Do not fill kettle when positioned on base. Dry the water on the bottom of the body before place it
onto the power base.

• Be aware of steam being emitted from spout or lid especially during refilling. Do not remove lid
during boiling cycle.
• To avoid circuit overload, do not operate another high wattage appliance on the same circuit.
• Do not insert any object into slots or holes of the kettle.
• Open the lid with the release button only. Push lid down to lock in place.

POLARIZED PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock,
this plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit correctly into the outlet, flip it. If
it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature by modifying
the plug in any way.
EXTENSION CORD USE
A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled or tripping
over a longer cord.
The use of an extension cord is not recommended. However, longer extension cords may be used if care
is exercised.
• If an extension cord is used,
a. The leveled electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at least as great as
the electrical rating of the appliance.
b. The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where
it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.
c. If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a grounding type
3-wire cord.
ELECTRIC POWER
If the electrical circuit is overloaded with other appliances, your appliance may not operate properly. It
should be operated on a separate electrical circuit from other appliances.
TAMPER-RESISTANT SCREW
Warning: This appliance is equipped with a tamper-resistant screw to prevent removal of the outer cover.
To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not attempt to remove the outer cover. There are no user
serviceable parts inside.

BEFORE FIRST USE
• Remove all packing material and stickers from the product and save instruction manual.
• Cut and remove tie wrap located between the electric plug blades.
• Before using your new appliance, wipe the base of the kettle with a damp cloth.
• Wash the kettle with warm sudsy water.
• Place appliance on a flat stable surface.
Caution: Because some countertop finishes are more sensitive than others, use care not to place kettle
on surfaces where heat may cause damage.
• Pour fresh cold water into the water reservoir up to MAX level.
• Close the kettle lid.
• Put the kettle on the base.
• Unwind the cord and plug into a standard 120 Volt AC outlet.
• Press the ON button (I/O) to boil the water.
• After boiling is finished, press the OFF button (I/O).
• Remove the kettle from the base.
• Push the lid release button to open the lid.
• Dispose the hot water in the sink.
Note: Boil water at least 2 times and dispose, before boiling water for consumption. This removes any
dust or residue that may remain in the system during the manufacturing process.
• Unplug unit.
HOW TO USE YOUR KETTLE
• Pour fresh cold water into the water reservoir up to MAX level.
Caution: Do not fill above the “MAX” indication level. Do not operate kettle if water is below minimum
marking. If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected.
• Close the kettle lid.
• Put the kettle on the base.
• Unwind the cord and plug into a standard 120 Volt AC outlet.
• Press the ON button (I/O) to boil the water.

Caution: Never leave the kettle unattended while boiling water. Especially when there are children nearby.
• After boiling is finished, press the OFF button (I/O).
• Remove the kettle from the base.
Caution: The appliance is very hot during use; make sure to use the handle.
• Push the lid release button to open the lid.
Caution: Be careful when handling hot water. Danger of scalding!
• Unplug unit.
Caution: Do not boil water while the kettle lid is open.
• Let the appliance cool down 1 minute before boiling water again.
Boil-Dry Protection
The kettle is fitted with a boil-dry protection system to prevent the kettle from overheating. If the kettle is
switched on and filled with little (below the minimum mark “MIN”) or no water, the kettle will continuously
switch on and off.
This cycle will continue indefinitely until the unit is removed from the base or the handle switch is turned
to the off position.

CARE AND CLEANING
This product contains no user serviceable parts.
• Unplug the cord and wait for appliance to cool completely before cleaning.
• Carefully open the kettle lid.
• Clean the base and the outside of the kettle with a soft damp cloth.
• To clean the inside of the kettle, open the lid and wash with warm sudsy water then rinse and dry.
• Never immerse the kettle or base in water or other liquids.
• Kettle and base are NOT dishwasher safe.
• Do not use any abrasive cleaners or metal pads to clean the kettle.
• Never spray or apply cleaner directly onto or into the kettle.
Decalcifying
• Fill the kettle with water and cooking white vinegar mixture (½ vinegar and ½ water) up to the MAX
mark.
• Close the lid and place the kettle on the base.
• Unwind the cord and plug into a standard 120 Volt AC outlet.
• Press the ON button (I/O) to boil the mixture.
• Run through the complete boil cycle with the decalcifying solution and repeat 3 times.
• Fill the kettle with cold water up to the MAX mark.
• Turn on the kettle and complete a boil cycle.
• You may have to repeat this step to eliminate the vinegar smell/taste.
• Press the OFF button (I/O).
• Wash the kettle and base as instructed in the CARE AND CLEANING section.
STORAGE AND MAINTENANCE
• Always allow the kettle to completely cool before storing.
• Wrap cord around cord storage.
• Store your kettle in a dry location, such as on a tabletop, countertop, or on a cupboard shelf.
• Other than recommended cleaning, no further user maintenance should be necessary.

INSTRUCCIONES IMPORTANTES DE SEGURIDAD
Cuando se utilizan electrodomésticos, siempre se deben respetar ciertas medidas de seguridad incluyendo
las siguientes:
• Lea todas las instrucciones antes de utilizar el producto.
• No toque las superficies calientes. Utilice las asas o las perillas.
• Con el objetivo de disminuir el riesgo de una descarga eléctrica, no sumerja el cable, el enchufe, el
control de temperatura variable o la base del aparato en agua ni en ningún otro líquido.
• Todo aparato eléctrico usado cerca de los niños requiere la supervisión de un adulto.
• Desconecte el aparato de la toma de corriente cuando no este en uso y antes de limpiarlo. Espere
que el aparato se enfríe antes de instalar, retirar las partes o limpiarlo.
• No utilice ningún aparato si el cable o el enchufe se encuentran dañados, o si el aparato no funciona
correctamente, o si ha sufrido algún daño en general.

• No llene la tetera cuando está colocada en la base. Seque el agua en la parte inferior exterior de la
tetera antes de colocarla sobre la base.
• Tenga cuidado del vapor que sale desde la tapa especialmente cuando se sirve el agua caliente. No
quite la tapa durante el ciclo de ebullición.
• Para evitar la sobrecarga del circuito, no opere ningún otro aparato de alto voltaje en el mismo
circuito.
• No introduzca ningún objeto en las ranuras o agujeros de la tetera.
• Abra la tapa con el botón de liberación solamente. Empuje la tapa hacia abajo para bloquear en su
lugar.

ENCHUFE POLARIZADO
Este aparato tiene un enchufe polarizado (un contacto es más ancho que el otro). Para reducir el riesgo de
choque eléctrico, este enchufe entra en un contacto polarizado de una sola manera. Si el enchufe no entra
correctamente, inviértalo. Si aún así no encaja, busque la ayuda de un electricista calificado. No intente
hacerle ninguna modificación al enchufe.
USO DE UN CABLE DE EXTENSIÓN
El producto viene con un cable corto de suministro de potencia para reducir el riesgo que resulta de
enredarse o tropezarse con un cable más largo.
No se recomienda el uso de un cable de extensión. Sin embargo, puede usarse un cable de extensión si
se emplea el cuidado requerido.
• Si se usa un cable de extensión:
a. El voltaje eléctrico del cable de extensión debe ser como mínimo igual al voltaje del aparato.
b. El cable de extensión debe acomodarse de modo que no cuelgue del mostrador o de la
mesa, para evitar que un niño tire del mismo o se tropiece sin intención.
c. Si el aparato es de extensión con termina tierra, el cable de extensión debe ser un cable de
3 hilos conexión a tierra.
CABLE ELÉCTRICO
Si se recarga el circuito eléctrico con otros electrodomésticos, es posible que este aparato no funcione
correctamente. Se debe utilizar en un circuito eléctrico separado de los otros electrodomésticos.
TORNILLO DE SEGURIDAD
Advertencia: Este aparato cuenta con un tornillo de seguridad para evitar que se remueva de la cubierta
exterior del mismo. A fin de reducir el riesgo de incendio o descarga eléctrica, por favor no trate de

ANTES DE UTILIZAR POR PRIMERA VEZ
• Retire todo el material de empaque y las calcomanías adheridas al producto y conserve el manual
de instrucciones.
• Corte y retire la banda plástica que pasa por los contactos del enchufe.
• Antes de usar la tetera, limpie la base con un paño húmedo.
• Lave la tetera con agua tibia y jabón.
• Coloque el producto sobre una superficie plana y estable.
Advertencia: Debido a que el terminado de ciertos mostradores puede ser afectado más que otros,
asegúrese de no colocar la tetera sobre superficies susceptibles al calor.
• Coloque agua fría dentro del tanque de agua hasta llegar al nivel máximo MAX.
• Cierre la tapa de la tetera.
• Ponga la tetera en la base.
• Desenrolle el cable y enchufe en un tomacorriente de 120 Voltios de CA.
• Presione el botón de encender y apagar (I/O) para comenzar a hervir el agua.
• Después de que el agua hierva, presione el botón de encender y apagar (I/O).
• Quite la tetera de la base.
• Presione el botón de desbloquear la tapa para abrirla.
• Descarte el agua caliente en el lavabo.
Nota: Hierva el agua al menos 2 veces y descarte, antes de usar el agua para consumo. Esto sirve para
remover polvo o residuos que hayan quedado en la tetera durante el proceso de fabricación.
• Desconecte la tetera.
COMO USAR SU TETERA
• Llene el tanque de agua con agua fría según la cantidad deseada. No exceda el límite máximo
“MAX”.
Nota: No llene por encima del nivel máximo “ MAX”. No use la tetera si el nivel de agua está por debajo del
mínimo marcado “MIN”. Si se llena demasiado la tetera, el agua al hervir puede desbordarse.
• Cierre la tapa de la tetera.
• Coloque la tetera en la base.

• Desenrolle el cable y enchufe en un tomacorriente de 120 Voltios de CA.
• Presione el botón de encender y apagar (I/O) para comenzar a hervir el agua.
Advertencia: Nunca deje la tetera sin vigilancia durante la ebullición del agua. Sobre todo cuando hay
niños cerca.
• Después de que el agua hierva, presione el botón de encender y apagar (I/O).
• Quite la tetera de la base.
Advertencia: El aparato se calienta durante el uso. No tocar. Puede sufrir quemaduras.
• Presione el botón de desbloquear la tapa para abrirla.
Advertencia: Tenga cuidado al manipular agua caliente. Puede sufrir quemaduras.
• Desconecte la tetera.
Advertencia: No hierva agua mientras la tapa de la tetera está abierta.
• Deje que el aparato se enfríe 1 minuto antes de hervir el agua de nuevo.
Protección de Ebullición en Seco
La tetera está equipada con un sistema de protección para evitar el sobrecalentamiento. Si la tetera se
enciende y se llena con poca (por debajo del mínimo “MIN”) o nada de agua, se mantendrá continuamente
prendiéndose y apagándose. Este ciclo continuará indefinidamente hasta que la tetera se retire de la base
o el interruptor se coloque en la posición de apagado (0).

CUIDADO Y LIMPIEZA
Este producto no contiene piezas reparables por el consumidor.
• Desconecte el cable del tomacorriente. Espere que la tetera se enfríe por completo antes de limpiarla.
• Levante la tapa de la tetera con cuidado.
• La superficie exterior de la tetera y la base pueden ser lavada con un paño suave y húmedo.
• Para limpiar el interior de la tetera, abra la tapa y lavar con agua tibia y jabón. Enjuague y seque.
• Nunca sumerja la tetera en agua ni en ningún otro líquido.
• La tetera ni la base son aptas para el lavaplatos automático.
• No use limpiadores abrasivos ni almohadillas de fibra metálicas para limpiar la tetera.
• Nunca rocíe o aplique limpiadores directamente sobre o dentro de la tetera.
Descalcificación
• Llene la tetera con una mezcla de agua y vinagre blanco de cocina (½ agua y ½ de vinagre). No
exceda el límite máximo “MAX”.
• Cierre la tapa de la tetera y colóquela en la base.
• Desenrolle el cable y enchufe en un tomacorriente de 120 Voltios de CA.
• Presione el botón de encender y apagar (I/O) para comenzar a hervir la mezcla.
• Espere que la mezcla hierva completamente y repítalo 3 veces.
• Llene la tetera con agua. No exceda el límite máximo “MAX”.
• Presione el botón de encender y apagar (I/O) y deje que hierva toda el agua.
• Tal vez sea necesario repetir hasta eliminar el olor y sabor a vinagre.
• Apague en el botón de encender y apagar (I/O).
• Lavar la tetera y la base como se indica en la sección CUIDADO Y LIMPIEZA.
ALMACENAMIENTO Y MANTENIMIENTO
• Siempre deje enfriar completamente la tetera antes de guardarla.
• Enrolle el cable eléctrico alrededor del compartimiento para guardarlo.
• Guarde la tetera en un lugar seco, por ejemplo, encima de la mesa, el mostrador o en un estante
del armario.
• Adicional a la limpieza recomendada, no se requiere ningún mantenimiento especial.
