Ventilation
To ens re adeq ate ventilation is provided, the back
panel of the cabinet m st be removed. It is
advisable to install the oven so that it rests on two
strips of wood, or on a completely flat s rface with
an opening of at least 45 x 560 mm (see diagrams).
Centring and fixing
Position the 4 tabs on the side of the oven so that
they are aligned with the 4 holes on the o ter frame.
Adj st the tabs in accordance with the thickness of
the cabinet side panel, as shown below:
20 mm thick: take off the
removable part of the tab (see
diagram).
18 mm thick: se the first
groove, which has already
been set in the factory (see
diagram).
16 mm thick: se the second
groove (see diagram).
Sec re the appliance to the cabinet by opening the
oven door and inserting 4 screws into the 4 holes on
the o ter frame.
 All parts which ens re the safe operation of the
appliance m st not be removable witho t the aid of
a tool.
 Before operating yo r new appliance please read
this instr ction booklet caref lly. It contains
important information concerning the safe operation,
installation and maintenance of the appliance.
 Please keep these operating instr ctions for f t re
reference. Pass them on to any new owners of the
appliance.
Positioning
 Keep packaging material o t of the reach of
children.
It can become a choking or s ffocation hazard. (see
Precautions and tips).
 The appliance m st be installed by a q alified
professional in accordance with the instr ctions
provided. Incorrect installation may ca se harm to
people and animals or may damage property.
Built-in appliance
Use a s itable cabinet to ens re that the appliance
f nctions properly.
 The panels adjacent to the oven m st be made of
heat-resistant material.
 Cabinets with a veneer exterior m st be
assembled with gl es which can withstand
temperat res of p to 100°C.
 To install the oven nder the co nter (see
diagram) or in a kitchen nit, the cabinet m st
have the following dimensions:
 The appliance m st not come into contact with
electrical parts once it has been installed.
The indications for cons mption given on the data
plate have been calc lated for this type of
installation.

Electrical connection
! Ovens with a three-pole power s pply cable are
designed to operate with alternated c rrent at the
s pply freq ency and voltage indicated on the data
plate (at the bottom of the oven dashboard). The
earthing cond ctor of the cable is the yellow-green
cond ctor.
Two types of connection are provided:
Connection n° 1
Connecting the power supply cable to the mains.
Fit a normalized pl g to the cable, which
corresponds to the load indicated on the data plate;
if the cooker is connected directly to the mains, an
omnipolar circ it-breaker with a minim m opening of
3 mm between the contacts, s itable for the load
indicated and complying with c rrent directives,
m st be installed between the appliance and the
mains (the earthing wire m st not be interr pted by
the circ it-breaker). The power s pply cable m st be
positioned so that it does not exceed room
temperat re by 50°C at any point of its length.
Before making the connection check that:
 the circ it breakers or f ses of the home system
can s pport appliance load (seedata plate);
 the power s pply system has an efficient earthing
connection which complies with the provisions of
c rrent reg lations and the law;
 there is easy access to the socket or the
omnipolar circ it-breaker once the cooker has
been installed.

Connection n° 2
Disposing of the pl g.
! THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHE .
Ens re that before disposing of the pl g itself, yo
make the pins n sable so that it cannot be
accidentally inserted into a socket. Instr ctions for
connecting cable to an alternative pl g:
! the wires in the mains lead are colo red in
accordance with the following code:
Green & Yellow -Earth
Bl e -Neutral
Brown -Live
If the colo rs of the wires in the mains lead do not
correspond with the colo red markings identifying
the terminals in yo r pl g, proceed as follows.
Connect Green & Yellow wire to terminal marked E
or 6 or colo red Green or Green & Yellow.
Connect Brown wire to terminal marked L or
colo red Red. Connect Bl e wire to terminal marked
N or colo red Black. If a 13 amp pl g (BS 1363) is
sed it m st be fitted with a 13 amp f se.
A 15 amp pl g m st be protected by a 15amp
f se, either in the pl g or adaptor or at the
distrib tion board.If yo are in any do bt abo t the
electrical s pply to yo r machine, cons lt a q alified
electrician before se.
How to connect an alternative plug

Disposing of the appliance
When disposing of the appliance please remove the
pl g by c tting the mains cable as close as
possible to the pl g body and dispose of it as

 The first time yo se yo r appliance, heat the
empty oven with its door closed and at its maxim m
temperat re for at least half an ho r. Make s re that
the room is well ventilated before switching the oven
off and opening the oven door. The appliance may
emit a slightly npleasant odo r ca sed by
protective s bstances sed d ring the
man fact ring process b rning away.
Setting the clock
 The clock may be set when the oven is switched
off or when it is switched on, provided that the end
time of a cooking cycle has not been programmed
previo sly.
1. Press the b tton several times ntil the
icon and the first two n merical digits on the display
start to flash.
2. T rn the TIMER KNOB towards + and - to
adj st the ho r val e.
3. Press the b tton again so that the other two
n merical digits on the DISPLAY begin to flash.
4. T rn the TIMER KNOB towards + and - to
adj st the min te val e.
5. Press the b tton again to confirm.
Setting the time
 This f nction does not interr pt cooking and does
not affect the oven; it is simply sed to activate the
b zzer when the set amo nt of time has elapsed.
1. Press the b tton several times ntil the icon
and the three digits on the display begin to flash.
2. T rn the TIMER KNOB towards + and - to
adj st the min te val e.
3. Press the b tton again to confirm.
The display will then show the time as it co nts
down. When this period of time has elapsed the
b zzer will be activated.
Sta ting the oven
1. Select the desired cooking mode by t rning the
SELECTOR knob.
2. The oven begins its preheating stage and the
preheating indicator lights p.
The temperat re may be changed by t rning the
THERMOSTAT knob.
3. When the preheating indicator switches off
and a b zzer so nds the preheating process is
complete: yo may now place the food in the oven.
4. D ring cooking it is always possible to:
- Change the cooking mode by t rning the
SELECTOR knob.
- Change the temperat re by t rning the
THERMOSTAT knob.
- Set the cooking d ration and the cooking end time
(see Cooking modes).
- Stop cooking by t rning the SELECTOR knob to
the 0 position.
5. If a blacko t occ rs while the oven is already in
operation, an a tomatic system within the appliance
will reactivate the cooking mode from the point at
which it was interr pted, provided that the
temperat re has not dropped below a certain level.
Programmed cooking modes which have not started
will not be restored and m st be reprogrammed.
 There is no preheating stage for the GRILL mode.
 Never p t objects directly on the bottom of the
oven; this will prevent the enamel coating from being
damaged.
 Always place cookware on the rack(s) provided.
Cooling ventilation
In order to cool down the external temperat re of the
oven, a cooling fan blows a stream of air between
the control panel and the oven door. At the
beginning of the AUTOMATIC CLEANING cycle, the
cooling fan operates at low speed.
 Once cooking has been completed, the cooling fan
contin es to operate ntil the oven has cooled down
s fficiently.
Oven light
When the oven is not in operation, the lamp can be
switched on at any time by opening the oven door.

Cooking modes
Cooking modes
 All cooking modes have a defa lt cooking
temperat re which may be adj sted man ally
between 40°C and 250°C as desired.
In the GRILL mode, the defa lt power level val e is
indicated as a percentage (%) and may also be
adj sted man ally.
TRADITIONAL mode
When sing this traditional cooking mode, it is best
to se one cooking rack only. If more than one rack
is sed, the heat will be distrib ted nevenly.
MULTILEVEL mode
Since the heat remains constant thro gho t the
oven, the air cooks and browns food in a niform
manner. A maxim m of two racks may be sed at
the same time.
GRILL mode
By t rning the THERMOSTAT knob, the different
power levels which may be set will appear on the
display; these range between 50% and 100%. The
high and direct temperat re of the grill is
recommended for food which req ires a high s rface
temperat re. Always cook in this mode with the oven
door partially open.
GRATIN mode
This combination of feat res increases the
effectiveness of the nidirectional thermal radiation
provided by the heating elements thro gh the forced
circ lation of air thro gho t the oven. This helps
prevent food from b rning on the s rface and allows
the heat to penetrate right into the food. Always
cook in this mode with the oven door closed.
SPEEDY BARBECUE mode
This mode can be sed to cook the perfect
barbec e in yo r oven. It q ickly prod ces flawless
res lts when grilling meat, fish and vegetables,
witho t creating smoke. The temperat re is set by
defa lt to 280°C; cooking d rations, which may be
set as desired, are recommended for vario s dishes
and are listed in the cooking advice table (see
Cooking advice table).
FREASY COOK mode
Preheating is not necessary for this cooking mode.
This mode is partic larly s itable for cooking pre-
packed food q ickly (frozen or pre-cooked). The
best res lts are achieved sing one cooking rack
only.
PIZZA mode
This combination heats the oven rapidly by
prod cing a considerable amo nt of heat,
partic larly from the element at the bottom. If yo
se more than one rack at a time, switch the position
of the dishes halfway thro gh the cooking process.
KEEP WARM mode
This type of cooking mode can be sed to keep hot,
previo sly-cooked foods warm, or to reheat dishes.
The temperat re is set by defa lt to 65°C and
cannot be adj sted.

Programming cooking
 A cooking mode m st be selected before
programming can take place.
Programming the cooking duration
1. Press the b tton several times ntil the
icon and the three digits on the display begin to
flash.
2. T rn the TIMER KNOB towards + and - to
adj st the d ration as desired.
3. Press the b tton again to confirm.
4. When the set time has elapsed, the text END
appears on the DISPLAY, the oven will stop cooking
and a b zzer so nds.
 For example: it is 9:00 a.m. and a time of 1 ho r
and 15 min tes is programmed. The programme
will stop a tomatically at 10:15 a.m.
Setting the end time for a cooking mode
 A cooking d ration m st be set before the cooking
end time can be sched led.
1. Follow steps 1 to 3 to set the d ration as detailed
above.
2. Next, press the b tton ntil the icon and the
two digits on the DISPLAY begin to flash.
3. T rn the TIMER KNOB towards + and - to
adj st the ho r val e.
4. Press the b tton again so that the other two
n merical digits on the DISPLAY begin to flash.
5. T rn the TIMER KNOB towards + and - to
adj st the min te val e.
6. Press the b tton again to confirm.
7. When the set time has elapsed, the text END
appears on the DISPLAY; the oven will stop cooking
and a b zzer so nds.
Programming has been set when the and
b ttons are ill minated. The DISPLAY shows the
cooking end time and the cooking d ration
alternately.
To cancel programming, t rn the SELECTOR knob to
the 0 position.
P actical cooking ad ice
 Do not place racks in position 1 and 5 d ring fan-
assisted cooking. This is beca se excessive direct
heat can b rn temperat re sensitive foods.
 In the GRILL and GRATIN cooking modes,
partic larly when sing the rotisserie spit, place the
dripping pan in position 1 to collect cooking
resid es (fat and/or grease).
MULTILEVEL
 Use positions 2 and 4, placing the food which
req ires more heat on 2.
 Place the dripping pan on the bottom and the rack
on top.
GRILL
 Place the rack in position 3 or 4. Position the food
in the centre of the rack.
 We recommend that the power level is set to
maxim m. The top heating element is reg lated
by a thermostat and may not always operate
constantly.
SPEEDY BARBECUE
 Position the rack on level 4 and the dripping pan
on level 1.
 This is the accessory config ration yo sho ld
se if yo wish to achieve perfect barbec ed
res lts for every type of dish, witho t creating
smoke or making the appliance dirty. When yo
have finished cooking, all excess fat will have
collected in the dripping pan with the water and
the accessories will be very easy to clean.
PIZZA
 Use a light al mini m pizza pan. Place it on the
rack provided.
For a crispy cr st, do not se the dripping pan as
this extends the total cooking d ration and
prevents the cr st from forming.
 If the pizza has a lot of toppings, we recommend
adding the mozzarella cheese on top of the pizza
halfway thro gh the cooking process.

Precautions and tips
 This appliance has been designed and
man fact red in compliance with international safety
standards. The following warnings are provided for
safety reasons and m st be read caref lly.
Gene al safety
 The appliance was designed for domestic se
inside the home and is not intended for
commercial or ind strial se.
 The appliance m st not be installed o tdoors,
even in covered areas. It is extremely dangero s
to leave the appliance exposed to rain and
storms.
 When moving or positioning the appliance, always
se the handles provided on the sides of the
oven.
 Do not to ch the appliance with bare feet or with
wet or damp hands and feet.
 The appliance m st be sed by ad lts only for the
preparation of food, in accordance with the
instr ctions provided in this booklet.
Do not touch the heating elements or certain
parts of the oven door when the appliance is in
use; these parts become extremely hot. Keep
children well away from the appliance.
 Make s re that the power s pply cables of other
electrical appliances do not come into contact
with the hot parts of the oven.
 The openings sed for ventilation and the
dispersion of heat m st never be covered.
 Always grip the oven door handle in the centre:
the ends may be hot.
 Always se oven gloves when placing cookware
in the oven or when removing it.
 Do not se al mini m foil to line the bottom of the
oven.
 Do not place flammable materials in the oven: If
the appliance is switched on accidentally, the
materials co ld catch fire.
 Always make s re the knobs are in the l/¡
position when the appliance is not in se.
 When npl gging the appliance, always p ll the pl g
from the mains socket; do not p ll on the cable.
 Never perform any cleaning or maintenance work
witho t having disconnected the appliance from
the electricity mains.
 If the appliance breaks down, nder no
circ mstances sho ld yo attempt to perform the
repairs yo rself. Repairs carried o t by
inexperienced persons may ca se inj ry or f rther
malf nctioning of the appliance. Contact a Service
Centre (see Assistance).
 Do not rest heavy objects on the open oven door.
 The appliance sho ld not be operated by people
(incl ding children) with red ced physical,
sensory or mental capacities, by inexperienced
individ als or by anyone who is not familiar with
the prod ct. These individ als sho ld, at the very
least, be s pervised by someone who ass mes
responsibility for their safety or receive
preliminary instr ctions relating to the operation of
the appliance.
 Do not let children play with the appliance.
Disposal
 When disposing of packaging material: observe
local legislation so that the packaging may be
re sed.
 The E ropean Directive 2002/96/EC relating to
Waste Electrical and Electronic Eq ipment
(WEEE) states that ho sehold appliances sho ld
not be disposed of sing the normal solid rban
waste cycle. Exha sted appliances sho ld be
collected separately in order to optimise the cost
of re- sing and recycling the materials inside the
machine, while preventing potential damage to
the atmosphere and to p blic health. The
crossed-o t d stbin is marked on all prod cts to
remind the owner of their obligations regarding
separated waste collection.
For f rther information relating to the correct
disposal of exha sted ho sehold appliances,
owners may contact the p blic service provided
or their local dealer.
Respecting and conse ving the
envi onment
 Yo can help to red ce the peak load of the
electricity s pply network companies by sing the
oven in the ho rs between late afternoon and the
early ho rs of the morning. The cooking mode
programming options, the delayed cooking
mode (see Cooking modes) in partic lar, enable
the ser to organise their time efficiently.
 Check the door seals reg larly and wipe them
clean to ens re they are free of debris so that
they adhere properly to the door, th s avoiding
heat dispersion.

Care and maintenance
Switching the appliance off
Disconnect yo r appliance from the electricity
s pply before carrying o t any work on it.
Cleaning the appliance
 The stainless steel or enamel-coated external
parts and the r bber seals may be cleaned sing
a sponge that has been soaked in l kewarm water
and ne tral soap. Use specialised prod cts for
the removal of st bborn stains. After cleaning,
rinse and dry thoro ghly. Do not se abrasive
powders or corrosive s bstances.
 The inside of the oven sho ld ideally be cleaned
after each se, while it is still l kewarm. Use hot
water and detergent, then rinse well and dry with
a soft cloth. Do not se abrasive prod cts.
 The accessories can be washed like everyday
crockery, and are even dishwasher safe.
 Never se steam cleaners or press re cleaners on
the appliance.
Cleaning the oven doo
Clean the glass part of the oven door sing a
sponge and a non-abrasive cleaning prod ct, then
dry thoro ghly with a soft cloth. Do not se ro gh
abrasive material or sharp metal scrapers as these
co ld scratch the s rface and ca se the glass to
crack.
For more thoro gh cleaning p rposes, the oven door
may be removed:
1. Open the oven door f lly
(see diagram).
2. Lift p and t rn the small
levers located on the two
hinges (see diagram).

To replace the door, reverse this seq ence.
Inspecting the seals
Check the door seals aro nd the oven reg larly. If
the seals are damaged, please contact yo r nearest
After-sales Service Centre (see Assistance). We
recommend that the oven is not sed ntil the seals
have been replaced.
Replacing the light ul
To replace the
oven light b lb:
1. Remove the glass cover sing a screwdriver.
2. Unscrew the light b lb and replace it with a
similar one: Wattage 15 W, cap E 14.
Replace the glass cover, making s re the seal is
positioned correctly (see diagram).

AUTOMAT C CLEAN NG mode
D ring the AUTOMATIC CLEANING cycle, the
internal temperat re of the oven reaches 500°C. The
pyrolytic cycle is activated, b rning away food and
grime resid es. Dirt is literally incinerated.
Keep children away from the appliance d ring the
a tomatic cleaning cycle as s rfaces may become
very hot. Particles may ignite inside the oven as a
res lt of the comb stion process. There is no ca se
for concern: this process is both normal and hazard-
free.
Before activating the AUTOMATIC CLEANING cycle:
 Remove large or coarse food resid es from the
inside of the oven sing a damp sponge. Do not
se detergents.
 Remove all accessories.
 Do not place tea towels or pot holders over the
oven handle.
 T rn the SELECTOR knob to the 0 position.
 If the oven is too hot, the pyrolytic cycle may not
start. Wait for the oven to cool down.
 The programme may only be started once the oven
door has been closed.
To activate the AUTOMATIC CLEANING cycle press
and hold the b tton for approximately 4
seconds. The TIMER KNOB may be sed to select
the desired cleaning level; there are three defa lt
time settings which cannot be modified.
1. Economy (ECO): t rn the knob towards -.
D ration 1 ho r.
2. Normal (NOR): initial level. D ration 1 ho r and 30
min tes.
3. Intensive (INT): t rn the knob towards +.
D ration 2 ho rs.
4. Press the b tton to confirm.
An end time for the AUTOMATIC CLEANING cycle
(as for a normal cooking cycle) may be programmed
(see Programming the automatic cleaning end time).
Safety devices
 The icon on the display, when lit, indicates
that the oven door was a tomatically locked as
soon as the temperat re reached a high val e.
 The icon indicates that the cleaning cycle
may be cancelled at any time by pressing the
b tton.
 If a malf nction occ rs, the heating elements will
be switched off.
 Once the oven door has been locked, yo cannot
change the d ration and cycle end time settings.
Programming the automatic cleaning end time
1. Press the b tton ntil the icon and the two
digits on the DISPLAY begin to flash.
2. T rn the TIMER KNOB towards + and - to
adj st the ho r val e.
3. Press the b tton again so that the other two
n merical digits on the DISPLAY begin to flash.
4. T rn the TIMER KNOB towards + and - to
adj st the min te val e.
5. Press the b tton again to confirm.
6. When the set time has elapsed, the text END
appears on the display and a b zzer so nds.
 For example: it is 9:00 a.m. and the AUTOMATIC
CLEANING Economy level has been selected,
with the defa lt d ration of 1 ho r. 12:30 is
sched led as the end time. The programme will
start a tomatically at 11:30 a.m.
Programming has been set when the and
b ttons are ill minated. The DISPLAY shows the
AUTOMATIC CLEANING end time and the d ration
alternately.
Once the automatic cleaning cycle is over
Yo will have to wait ntil the temperat re inside the
oven has cooled down s fficiently before yo can
open the oven door. Yo will notice some white d st
deposits on the bottom and the sides of yo r oven;
remove these deposits with a damp sponge once
the oven has cooled down completely. Alternatively,
yo can make se of the already heated oven, in
which case it is not necessary to remove the
deposits, they are completely harmless and will not
affect yo r food in any way.
