Precautions
Follow all warnings, precautions and maintenance as recom-
mended in this user’s guide to maximize the life of your unit.
Warning- Do not look into the projector’s lens when the lamp is
on. The bright light may hurt your eyes.
Warning- Toreducetheriskofreorelectricshock,donotexpose
this product to rain or moisture.
Warning- Please do not open or disassemble the product as this
may cause electric shock.
Warning- Whenchangingthelamp,pleaseallowunittocool
down60minutes,andfollowallchanginginstructions.
Warning- Hg – Lamp contains mercury. Manage in
accordance with local disposal laws. See
www.lamprecycle.org.
Warning- This product will detect the life of the lamp itself. Please
be sure to change the lamp when it shows warning mes-
sages.
Warning- Reset the “Lamp Reset” function from the On Screen
Display “Default Setting” menu after replacing a new
lamp module (refer to page 25).
Warning- Whenthelampreachestheendofitslife,itwillburn
out and may make a loud popping sound. If this hap-
pens,theprojectorwillnotturnbackonuntilthelamp
modulehasbeenreplaced.Toreplacethelamp,follow
the procedures listed under “Replacing the Lamp”.
Caution- Whenswitchingtheprojectoroff,pleaseensurethe
projector completes its cooling cycle before disconnect-
ing power.
Caution- Turnontheprojectorrstandthenthesignalsources.
Caution- Do not use lens cap when projector is in operation.

Usage Notice
Do:
Turn off the product before cleaning.
Disconnect the power plug from AC outlet if the product is not
being used for a long period of time.
Don’t:
Block the slots and openings on the unit provided for ventila-
tion.

Important Operating Considerations
for Safety
  Place the projector in a horizontal position no greater
than15degreesoffaxis.
Locate the projector in a well-ventilated area without any
obstructionstointakeorexhaustvents.Donotplacethe
projector on a tablecloth or other soft covering that may
block the vents.
Locate the projector at least 4' (1.2 m) away from any
heating or cooling vents.
Use only the power cord provided. A surge-protected
power strip is recommended.
Refer to this guide for proper startup and shutdown pro-
cedures.
 Intheunlikelyeventofalamprupture,particlesmayexit
through the projector side vents. When the projector is
turnedon,keeppeople,food,anddrinksoutofthe"keep
out"areaunderandaroundtheprojector,asindicatedby
the"X"areasbelow.
Follow these instructions to help ensure image quality and
lamp life over the life of the projector. Failure to follow these
instructions may affect the warranty. For complete details of the
warranty,seetheWarrantybooklet.

Operation
Powering On the Projector
1. Remove the lens cap. 
2. Ensure that the power cord and signal cable are securely
connected.ThePowerLEDwillturnashblue.
3. Turn on the lamp by pressing “Power/Standby” on the
control panel. The startup screen will display for about 25
seconds and the Power LED will turn blue.
4. Turnonyoursource(computer,notebook,videoplayer,etc.)
The projector will detect your source automatically.
Ifyouconnectmultiplesourcesatthesametime,usethe
“source”ontheremotecontrolorusethe“computer“,
”video1”,“video2“ontheremotecontroltoswitch.

Powering Off the Projector
1. Pressthe“Power/Standby”toturnofftheprojectorlamp,
you will see a message as below on the on-screen display.
2. Pressthe“Power/Standby”againtoconrm.
3. The cooling fan continues to operate for about 120 seconds
forcoolingcycleandthePowerLEDwillashblue.When
thelightstartsashing,theprojectorhasenteredstandby
mode.
 Ifyouwishtoturntheprojectorbackon,youmustwait
until the projector has completed the cooling cycle and has
enteredstandbymode.Onceinstandbymode,simplypress
“Power/Standby” to restart the projector.
4. Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet and the
projector.
5. Do not turn on the projector immediately following a power
off procedure.

Warning Indicator
When the “Power” LED indicatorturnsred,itindicatesthe
projector has overheated. The projector will automatically
shut itself down.
When the “Power” LED indicatorashesredandthemes-
sagebelowdisplaysonscreen,itindicatesthe projector
willdetectthelamplifeitself.Whenyouseethismessage,
change the lamp as soon as possible or contact your local
dealer or our service center.
When the “Power” LED indicatorashesredandthemes-
sagebelowdisplaysonscreen,itindicatesthefanfailed.Stop
using the projector and disconnect the power cord from the
electricaloutlet,thencontactyourlocaldealerorourservice
center.

height of image.

Adjusting the Projector Zoom / Focus
You may turn the zoom lever to zoom in or out. To focus the
image,rotatethefocusringuntiltheimageisclear.Thepro-
jector will focus at distances from 3.3 to 39.4 feet (1.0 to 12.0
meters) with mechanical travel.

User Controls
The Projector has multilingual On Screen Display menus that
allow you to make image adjustments and change a variety of
settings. The projector will automatically detect the source.
How to operate
1. ToopentheOSDmenu,press“Menu”ontheRemoteControl.
2. WhenOSDisdisplayed,use keys to select any item in the
mainmenu.Whilemakingaselectiononaparticularpage,press
key to enter sub menu.
3. Use keys to select the desired item in the sub menu and
adjust the settings by key.
4. If the setting has icon,youcouldpress“Enter”toenter another
sub menu. Press “Menu” to close the sub menu after adjustment.
5. Afteradjustingthesettings,press“Menu”backtothemainmenu.
6. Toexit,press“Menu”again.TheOSDmenuwillbeclosedandthe
projector will automatically save the new settings.

(PC Mode)
Display Mode
There are many factory presets optimized for various types of im-
ages.
PC: For computer or notebook.
Movie: For home theater.
sRGB:Forstandardcolor.
Game:Forgame.
User: Memorize user’s settings.
Brightness
Adjust the brightness of the image.
Press the to darken image.
Press the to lighten the image.
Contrast
The contrast controls the degree of difference between the lightest
and darkest parts of the picture. Adjusting the contrast changes the
amount of black and white in the image.
Press the to decrease the contrast.
Press the to increase the contrast.

Frequence
“Frequence” changes the display data frequency to match the fre-
quencyofyourcomputer’sgraphiccard.Ifyouexperienceavertical
ickeringbar,usethisfunctiontomakeanadjustment.
Tracking
Synchronize the signal timing of the projector with the graphics
card.Ifyouexperienceanunstableorickeringimage,usethis
function to correct it.
White Peaking
Use the white peaking control to set the white peaking level of
DMDchip.0standsforminimalpeaking,and10standsformaxi-
mumpeaking.Ifyoupreferastrongerimage,adjusttowardsthe
maximumsetting.Forasmoothandmorenaturalimage,adjust
towards the minimum setting.
Color Temp.
Adjustthecolortemperature.Athighertemperature,thescreen
lookscolder;atlowertemperature,thescreenlookswarmer.
Degamma
Thisallowsyoutochooseadegammatablethathasbeenne-tuned
to bring out the best image quality for the input.
