TheFlex2R/2TisanexpansiondevicethatprovidesINIMcontrolpanelswithafurtherfourterminals.

lLongpressingthebutton(i.e.pressingandholdingthebuttonforatleast1second)con-
nectedto‘T1’(/‘T2’),theVenetianblindwillmovedownwards(/upwards)towardstheendof
itsrun,orforthedurationofthedown(/up)time,summedtotheadditionalprogrammedtime.
lIfeitherofthebuttons,connectedto‘T1’or‘T2’ispressedwhiletheblindisopeningorclo-
sing,theongoingoperationwillstop.
NoteIn the case of roller shutters or Venetian blinds, the device is equipped with a function for self-calibration of posi-
tion which, if necessary, can cause the roller shutter to open completely before reaching the selected position.
If the roller shutter has been activated by control panel commands, this command cannot be canceled or stopped
by local commands (e.g. by button).

Inthisoperatingmode,thelightpointconnectedtoterminal‘SW1’willbeswitchedonwhenthe
switchconnectedtoterminal‘T1’isclosed.Viceversa,itwillbeoffwhentheswitchisopen.
Theswitchconnectedtoterminal‘T1’actsasadiverterwithrespecttoanyoutputactivationordeac-
tivationcommandsgivenbythecontrolpaneltotherespective‘SW1’terminal.
lTwo-point light module with switch
Inthismode,thelightpointconnectedtoterminal‘SW1’(/‘SW2’)willbeswitchedonwhentheswitch
connectedtoterminal‘T1’(/‘T2’)isclosed.Viceversa,itwillbeoffwhentheswitchisopen.
Theswitchconnectedtoterminal‘T1’(/‘T2’)actsasadiverterwithrespecttoanyoutputactivation

Flex2R/2Tdoesnothaveintegratedtamperprotectionandexposesthecablesinusetopossibletampering.
Itisthereforeadvisabletoprotecttheconnectionsandalsothedevicebyinstallingitinsideanenclosure,
whichcanbe:

NoteIn order to comply with standard 50131, the enclosure utilized as well as the device itself must be equipped with
tamper protection.
1. Chooseasuitablemountingplacement.
Ifthecontrolpanelcabinetisused,thecontrolpanelmustbedisconnectedcompletelyfromboththe
primary-powersource(230V~)andthebufferbattery.
2. Securethedeviceenclosureinsidethebox.
Ifthecontrolpanelcabinetisused,securetheplasticenclosureviathethreadedholesontheback
plate.
3. Pullthewiresthroughthecableentryandwireupthedevice.
4. Installthedevicetamperprotection.
5. Enrollthedevice.
6. Closethebox.
7. Ifthecontrolpanelcabinetisused,powerupthecontrolpanelagainbyconnectingtheprimary-
powersource(230V~)andthebufferbattery.

Theperipheralswithvisibleterminalsandwhichdonothaveananti-tamperdevicecanstillbeequipped
withprotectionbyinterveningontheassemblyprocedure.
Pleasenotethatinordertocomplywithsecuritystandards,allthecontrolpanelperipheralsmustbepro-
tectedagainsttamper.
Hereweprovideinformationononeofthepossibleproceduresthat canbeadopted.This involvesthe
assemblyofamicroswitchonthedevice,whichsignalsanyattemptedtamper,andtheconsequentpro-
grammingoftheterminalusedforthiscontact.
1. Procureamicroswitchwithatleasttwonormally-opencontacts[A](preferablywith3contacts:COM-
NO-NC).
2. Employaterminalandprogramitasa‘24H’input,whosedescriptiontypeis‘Tamper’,balancedwith
asingle6K8Ω[B]resistance,unlimitedalarmcyclesandbelongingtoapartitionthatisviewableon
atleastonekeypad.
3. Using2wires,connectthemicroswitchtothe‘24H’inputterminal.
4. Onthemicroswitch:
lidentifythecommoncontact(COM)andconnectitusingoneofthetwowires,totheGNDter-
minalofthe‘24H’terminal[C].
lidentifythenormallyopencontact(N.O.,whichisthecontactthatgeneratesashort-circuitbet-
weenthecontactitselfandtheCOMcontactwhentheswitchleveriscompressed)andcon-
nectoneendofthe6k8Ωresistortoit[D].
Connecttheotherendoftheresistancetothewirewhichisconnectedtothe‘24H’inputter-
minal.
5. Installthemicroswitchinsuchawaythatundernormalconditionstheswitchleveriscompressed.
Ifatamperattemptoccurs,theleverwillreleasethusgeneratingtheopeningofthecontactandan
immediatealarmonthe‘24H’terminal.

NoteThis wiring method can be applied in most situations, however, it is only a point of reference. In order to ensure
proper protection, you must always take in to account the specific mechanical and electrical conditions of the
device you are working on.
2.2 Connecting the Flex2R/2T module
Asaperipheral,Flex2R/2Tmustbeconnectedtothecontrolpanelthroughtheavailable‘+ D S -’terminals.
Terminals‘SW1’and‘SW2’canbeusedforconnectionswithbothACandDCpowereddevices.
Attention!Dangerous outputs
Innormaloperatingconditionsofa‘SELV’circuit,thevoltagebetweenanytwoofitsconductorsorbetween
anyofthemandGroundmustnotexceed42.4Vpeakor60VDC.Whenthesevaluesareexceeded,thevol-
tageistobeconsideredhazardous.
Theinstallercanchoosetousethe‘SW1’and‘SW2’outputstodriveexclusively2hazardousvoltagedevi-
cesor2safevoltagedevices(SELV).Themixeduseofdangerousvoltageandsafevoltageontheseter-
minalsisstrictlyprohibited.
Iftheoutputsareusedonmains(hazardous)voltage,inadditiontotheaboverequirements,itisnecessary
totakethefollowingcompulsorymeasures:

TheperipheraldevicesofInimElectronicscontrolpanelsaretobeconnectedtothecontrolpanelviatheI-
BUS.
Theconnectionbetweenthecontrolpanelanditsperipheralsisachievedthroughashielded4wire(or
more)cable.
Attention!The shield must be connected to one of the ground terminals (or GND) only on the control
panel side and must follow the entire BUS without being connected to ground in other
points.
Thecontrolpanelconnectionisdoneusingterminals‘+ D S -’onthemotherboard.
SizingThesizingoftheI-BUSline,i.e.thedistributionofperipheralsandtheuseofcablestoconnectthem,must
bedoneonthebasisofvariousprojectfactors,inordertoensurethediffusionofthesignalsofconductors
‘D’and‘S’andthepowersuppliedbyconductors‘+’and‘-’.
Thefactorsare:
lThecurrentconsumptionoftheconnecteddevices.
InthecaseofinsufficientpowersupplyfromtheBUSlinetoperipheralsanddetectors(refertothe

AfterinstallingthecontrolpanelperipheralsandconnectingthemtotheBUS,itisnecessarytoallowthe
controlpaneltorecognizeanddistinguishonefromanotherinorder forthem tobe placedinthecon-
figuration.
Thisispossiblefirstlybyassigninganaddresstoeachperipheral.
Theaddressingprocedurechangesinaccordancewiththetypeofperipheral.Thetypesavailableare:

WarningPeripherals of different types can have the same address, whereas peripherals of the same
type must always have different addresses.
Wireless transceivers must have different addresses from those of readers and expansions.
Afterassigningalltheaddresses,itisnecessaryforthecontrolpaneltocarryouttheperipheralenrollingpro-
ceduresinordertoincludetheminthesystemconfigurationthatthecontrolpanelwillmanage.

Followingthisoperation,thedevicewilltransfertheserialcodetothecontrolpanel.
NoteAll the letters entered for the code must be uppercase.
Thecontrolpanelwillputforwardthefirstfreeaddressforthetypeofperipheralidentified.Theinstallercan
changethisaddressasdesiredorconfirmitbypressingtheOKbutton.
2.4.2 Enrolling of Flex2R/2T
InimElectronicscontrolpanelsallowtheenrollingofperipheralsindifferentways,withachoicebetween
automaticormanualprocedures,dependingoninstalleraccesstothesystem.
Automatic, from control panel in ‘service’ modePlacingthecontrolpanelin‘maintenance’modeactivatesautomaticenrollingofperipheralsontheBUSat
intervalsof10seconds.
IftheinstallerassignsaddressestoperipheralsconnectedtotheBUS,at10secondintervals,thecontrol
panelwillenrollintheconfigurationtheperipheralsitfinds.
Automatic, from keypadAlternatively,itisalsopossibletostartanautomaticenrollingprocessbymeansofthefollowinginstaller
menuoptions:

Oncethesolutionforthesystemtobedesignedhasbeenopened,clickonthe
System Layout buttononthemenuontheleft.Theninthesectionontherightclick
ontheAdd device on BUSbutton.
Awindowopenswhereyoucanselectthedevicestobeconfiguredandaddthemtotheconfiguration.
NoteFor the correct usability of the layout of a system that uses home-automation modules controlled via software,
ensure you have reserved the number of terminals required for the selected operating mode.
Inthesectionontheleftyoucanincreasethenumberusingthebuttoncorresponding
totheselecteddevicetype.
Toremoveadevicefromthestructure,workthroughtheAdddeviceprocedure,but
insteaddeselectthedeviceyouwanttoremove
