1. Overview
Thank you for participating in the evaluation of the Inovonics Wander Management solution. Your
feedback will help us deliver a product that integrates easily with your emergency call system and
helps senior living communities protect their residents.
This Quick-Start Guide is intended to provide a framework for your evaluation efforts.
Here are some things to know before you begin:
•Download the documentation and demonstration software at
https://www.inovonics.com/1108-2/ . This includes:
oThis Quick-Start Guide.
oWander Management Development Guide-DRAFT.pdf. Please peruse to become familiar
with system architecture and key features.
oInovonicsWanderMQTT.yaml and InovonicsWanderOpenAPI.yaml. These are reference
documents of our MQTT messaging and HTTP API.
oInovonicsWanderTestToolkit. This is Python-based demonstration software that you will
need to exercise the features of this system.
•The syntax and terminology used are subject to change as we continue to refine the solution.
•The hardware provided in the evaluation kit is intended for demonstration purposes and is not
the finished product.
-The provided wall fixture will not be used in real installations
-The resident tag is a prototype only
•Initial set-up and exercises are expected to take approximately 4 - 8 hours
•A list of exercises is provided in Appendix A
Expectations:
•The evaluation period is four weeks
•We will establish a cadence of meetings with you throughout the evaluation period for technical
support and to gather feedback
•After initial set-up and exercises, we encourage you to perform ‘real world’ tests at your
discretion in your simulated environments
•We’re asking for your honest, unvarnished feedback on these topics
-Ease of use of the provided hardware against the provided test cases and any other
tests that you choose to perform
-Assessment of the effort required to integrate into your E-Call application, following the
evaluation period
-A brief survey is included in Appendix B of this document
