When using electrical appliances, basic safety

objects before using.
• Do not operate the appliance with a damaged
cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions,
or is dropped or damaged. Return the appliance
to the nearest authorized service facility for
examination, repair, or electrical or mechanical
adjustment.
• The use of attachments is not recommended by
the manufacturer and may cause a risk of
personal injury.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Do not let the cord hang over edge of a table or
counter.
• Never let the cord touch hot surfaces, including the
stove, or hang down where a child could grab it.
• Blades are sharp, handle carefully.
• To reduce the risk of injury, never place the blade
assembly on the base without the jar properly
attached.
• Always operate the blender with the cover in place.
• Make sure that ngers are kept well away from the
blades when in use.
• Do not blend hot ingredients.
• Always operate on a at surface.
• Make sure that the control dial is in the o ‘0’
position before plugging into the power outlet.
• Do not operate for more than one minute at a time.
• Always turn the power o before you insert or
remove a plug. Remove by grasping the plug. Do
not pull on the cord.
• Do not use an appliance for any purpose other than
its intended use.
• Do not place an appliance on or near a hot gas
ame, electric element, or on a heated oven. Do not
place on top of any other appliance.
• Do not let the power cord of an appliance hang
over the edge of a table or bench top or touch any
hot surface.
• Never touch the blades while the machine is
plugged in.
• Take special care when emptying and cleaning the
blender jar, as the blades are extremely sharp.
• The blender jar must be properly in place before
operating the blender.
• This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is
wider than other). To reduce the risk of electric shock,
this plug will t in a polarized outlet only one way. If
the plug does not t fully in the outlet, reverse the
plug. If it still does not t contact a qualied
electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way.

Note: Before using your blender for the rst time, wash all
parts and dry thoroughly. Do not immerse the base in water.
USING YOUR BLENDER
1Place the base on the table, with the control knob
facing toward you.
2Place the blender jar onto the base, then turn the
blender jar to the right until it clicks into place. The
arrows on the blender jar should be aligned with
the lock mark on the base to make sure the jar is
locked into place.
Note: Your blender will not work unless the blender jar is
locked into place.
3Remove the lid or the ller cap from the blender jar
and place ingredients into the jar. Do not exceed
the maximum indicated level (1.5 liters).
