INSTALLING THE EMKB
The EMKB is a 100% digital momentary switch, avail-
able with 1 to 6 buttons per switch. It can be mounted
in any standard switch box with a decorator style switch
plate. This switch is NOT pre-programmed and must be
addressed and programmed in the field.
Placement and Wiring
Connect to the digital lighting control bus using Cat. 5
cable with RJ45 connectors. Note all items on the bus
must be “daisy chained” and the beginning and end
items on the bus must have a terminator. If this is being
added to the bus in the middle this is not a problem. If
added at the end of the bus make sure the terminator
is removed from the previously last item to the new last
item on the bus.
If the ON LINE LED is not ashing re-check connections
and crimps.
Address and dene per instructions in the EM1400
Quick Hook-Up Guide and System and Software Start-
Up Manual. This would be dened as a (Number of
Butons) button switch in the “PANEL SWITCH TYPES”
Menu.
Program the switch to control the appropriate loads. The
Switch will be shown in the PROGRAM SWITCH menu.
