Wenn Sie Zweifel haben, wie Sie das Gerät korrekt zu installieren ist , kontaktieren Sie bitte Ihren Händler oder
eine Fachwerkstatt und lassen Sie dort die Installation durchführen ! Durch unsachgemäßen Einbau können
der Card Reader, Ihr Co mputer und andere angeschlossenen Geräte beschädigt werden.
Schalten Sie den Computer aus, in dem das Produkt installiert werden soll , sowie auch a lle angeschlossenen
Geräte. Trennen Sie alle Geräte von der Netzspannung, ziehen Sie den Netzstecker! Das Aus schalten der Ein
/ Aus - Schalter ist nicht genug!
Öffnen Sie Ihr PC - Gehäuse indem Sie vorsichtig den Deckel ab heben .
Suchen Sie einen freien 3,5" - Einbauschacht und entfernen Sie die Abdeckung des Steckplatzes. Oft
gibt es eine Metall - Abschirmung hinter der Kunststoffblende , die ebenfalls entfernt werden muss. Bei
manchen Gehäusen müssen Sie diese mit S chrauben lösen , andere müssen vorsichtig
herausgebrochen werden . Je nach Gehäuse, müssen Sie unter Umständen die gesamte Vorderseite
zuerst entfernen.
Abgesehe n von der Slot - Abdeckung, die bereits auf den Card Reader montiert ist, umfasst der
Lieferumfang zwei weitere Frontblenden in verschiedenen Farben. Abhängig von dem vorhandenen
Computer Gehäuse, kann die Abdeckung einfach durch eine andere ersetzt werden. Nun kann der
Card Reader wie ein Diskettenlaufwerk in den freien Einbauschacht montiert werden .
Schließen Sie den 9 - poligen USB - Stecker an einen internen USB - Anschluss auf dem Mainboard. Es
ist zwingend notwendig, die richtige Ausrichtung zu beachten (sieh e Betriebsanleitung des
Mainboards), da eine falsche Verbindung sowohl das Mainboard als auch die Elektronik des 3,5" Card
Readers beschädigen kann!

Installieren Sie die Kabel so, dass sie nicht lose im Gehäuse hängen und z.B. von einem Lüfter erfasst
w erden können, verwenden Sie Kabelbinder
Schließen Sie das Gehäuse Ihres Computers.
Verbinden Sie Ihren Computer und Monitor mit der Netzspannung und schalten Sie alle Geräte wider
ein
Wenn Ihr Computer nicht korrekt bootet , so schalten Sie ihn wieder sofor t aus sofort und kontrollieren
Sie sämtliche Einstellungen und Kabelverbindungen. Der Computer muss vor dem Öffnen erneut vom
Stromnetz getrennt werden , siehe oben!
G arantie:
D er 3,5" Card Reader mit U SB 2.0 kommt mit einer 2 Jahr e Garantie ab Kaufdatum . Op tische Defekte und
fehlende Teile sind von dieser Garantie nicht abgedeckt. Bitte prüfen Sie den Inhalt des Geräts, um
sicherzustellen, dass Sie alle Teile erhalten haben. Auch auf eventuelle op tische Fehler überprüfen. Wenn
Teile fehlen sollten oder wen n e in op tische r Defekt vorliegt , wenden Sie sich bitte an Ihren Händler und fragen
nach einem Ersatz.

If in doubt about how to install the device correctl y, please contact an expert or a specialist workshop and let
them do the in stallation! Improper installation damages the plug - in unit as well as your computer and all
connected devices.
Proceed with caution. Danger to life!
Switch off the computer in which the product is to be installed and all connected devices. Disconnect all
devices from the mains voltage and pull out the mains plug! Just turning off at the on/off switch is not enough!
Open your compute r s housing and carefully remove the cove r.
Look for a free 3.5 installation slot and remove the slot cove r.
Often there is a metal shielding behind it, which has to be removed first. With some casings, you
have to unscrew this, with others you have to break it out carefull y . Depending on the casing, you
may have to remove the entire front cover first.
Apart from the slot cover that is already mounted on the slot, the scope of delivery includes two more
front covers in di f ferent colours. Depending on the existing computer housing, the slot cover can
easily be replaced by another one. Now you can install Card Reader like a Floppy Disk Drive into
empty slot.
Connect the 9- pin USB plug to an internal USB port on the mainboard. It is imperative to observe the
correct orientation (see operating instructions for the mainboard) since a wrong connection may
damage both the mainboard and the electronics of the 3.5 plug - in unit, loss of warranty(refer to below
photo)!

Install the cables so that they do not protrude into any of the compute r s fan, use cable ties, for
example.
Close the computer housing.
Connect your computer and monitor to the mains voltage and switch on all devices.
If your computer does not start correctl y, switch it off again . I mmediately and check all the settings and
cable connections. It must be disconnected from the mains power supply before open ing, see above!
War ranty:
The Multi - Memory Internal Card Reader w/ USB2.0 comes with a 2 year limited warranty . Cosmetic defects
and missing parts are not covered under this warranty. Please check the contents of the unit to make
sure you received all parts. Also, check for a ny cosmetic flaws. If any parts are missing or if there are
cosmetic defects, please contact the retailer from which you purchased the unit immediately and ask for
a replacement.
