Thebedhasbeendevelopedfordomesticcareandlongtermcare:
•Applicationenvironment3;Long-termcareinamedicalareawhere
medicalsupervisionisrequiredandmonitoringisprovidedif
necessaryandmedicalelectricalequipmentusedinmedical
proceduresmaybeprovidedtohelpmaintainorimprovethe
conditionofthepatient.
•Applicationenvironment4;Careprovidedinadomesticarea
wheremedicalelectricalequipmentisusedtoalleviateor
compensateforaninjury,disabilityordisease.
•Thebedisintendedfordisabledchildrenwithlimitedmobility,
from3–12yearsofageandsizeof92–155cmsize.
•Thebedisnotintendedfortransportationofusers.Itismobile
withinaroomwithapatientinit.Castorsarelockable.
•Thebedisnotintendedforpsychiatricpatients.
•Maximumuserweightandsafeworkingloadarelistedonthe

1.3Servicelife
Theexpectedservicelifeofthisproductiseightyearswhenused
dailyandinaccordancewiththesafetyinstructions,maintenance
intervalsandcorrectuse,statedinthismanual.Theeffectiveservice
lifecanvaryaccordingtofrequencyandintensityofuse.
1.4Warranty
Thewarrantycoversallmaterialandproductiondefectsfortwo
yearsfromthedateofdelivery,provideditcanbedemonstratedthat
suchdefectswerepresentbeforedelivery.Allmanufacturingfaultsor
defectsmustbepromptlyreported.
Invacare®mayrepairthefaultorreplacethecomponent.The
warrantyprovidedbyInvacare®doesnotcoveradditionalcosts
(transport,packaging,labour,sundryexpenses,etc.areforthe
customer’saccount).
Thewarrantydoesnotcover:
•Damagecausedduringtransportthatisnotdirectlyreportedto
theforwarderatthemomentofdelivery.

–Thebedmustnotbeusedbypersonsunder3yearsof
age,orwithabodysizesmallerthananaverage3year
old(over92cmlength).

Riskofpatientsslippingthroughtheopenings
Thebedfulfilsallrequirementsregardingmaximum
distances.However,itispossiblethatpatientswithsmall
bodydimensionsslipthroughtheopeningsbetweenthe
siderailsorthroughtheopeningbetweenthesiderail
andthemattresssupport.
–Payspecialattention,ifthebedisusedforthecareof
patientswithsmallbodydimensions.
