Anexternallymountedwaterhumidiercanbeusedin-line
withtheoutputttingtoprovidehumidicationofthe
oxygengasdeliveredtothepediatricpatient.

UnpackingandInspection
1.Checkforanyobviousdamagetothecartonorits
contents.Ifdamageisevident,notifyyourcarrier/dealer
forfurtherinstruction.
2.Removealltheloosepackingfromthecarton.
3.Carefullyremoveallcomponentsfromthecarton.
Packingmaterialsandcartonshouldbekeptfor
futureuseduringstorageortransportation.
4.Examineexterioroftheowmeterfornicks,dents,
scratchesorotherdamages.Inspectallcomponents.
Storage
1.Storetherepackagedowmeterinadryarea.
2.DONOTplaceotherobjectsontopoftherepackaged
device.
Cleaning
Theunitexteriorcanbecleanedwithwarmsoapywater .
Wipewithasoft,dampclothanddrythoroughly.

besetat2.0L/min.Failuretocomplywith

1.SetthePediatricFlowmeterasprescribedbythe
patient’sphysician.
Theowrateonthestandardconcentrator
owmeterwilldropbelowthe2.0L/minsetting
aftertheowmeterisinstalledandoperating.
ThePediatricFlowmetersettingshouldbe
reassessedperiodically.
2.Whenadjustingtheow,centertheballAofthe
PediatricFlowmeterBwiththelineoftheprescribed
owrate.Whenviewingfromtheproperangle,the
graduationlinesonthefrontandthebackofthe
owmeterwillbeinalignmentwiththecenterofthe
ball.
3.Checkforoxygendeliverybyplacingthenasalprongs
ofthepediatricnasalcannulaunderthesurfaceofa
half-fullglassofwateronlywhentheoxygenisowing
andlookforbubblesindicatingproperoperation.Wipe
anyexcesswateroffthenasalprongswhennished
beforeplacingonthepatient.
4.Placepediatricnasalcannulaonthepatient.
Theproperplacementandpositioningofthe
prongsofthepediatricnasalcannulainthenose
iscriticaltotheamountofoxygendeliveredto
therespiratorysystemofthepatient.
