REMINERALIZER CARTRIDGE
The water experts at IonWays have created systems and products to take advantage of the best of R/O –
contaminant free water – by installing our remineralizer as a pre-filter before the ionizer. To make it possible to
ionize “pure” water (natural or man-made), IonWays has perfected the Remineralization Technology to add a
healthy blend of bicarbonates and organic forms of calcium, magnesium and other trace elements to the water
before ionization. Our unique remineralizer is a proprietary blend of organic and inorganic minerals that also
provides over 70 trace elements. A partial list of minerals/trace elements in the organic mineral source are:
Beryllium
Calcium
Carbon
Cerium
Cesium
Germanium
Holmium
Magnesium
Molybdenum

Fitting Installation Instructions
Many of the connections needed on your IonWays R/O system are quick connect. Inserting and removing the
tubing is simple to do if the following instructions are followed:
MAKE A CLEAN TUBE CUT
Cut the tube squarely and if using plastic tubing, ensure that making the cut has not flattened the tube. It needs to
be round and cut squarely. Also ensure that the tube has a smooth outside diameter without any burrs or score
marks prior to inserting it into the fitting.
INSERT TUBE INTO FITTING
Push the tubing through the collar and dual o-rings until it bottoms out against the tube stop.
TEST AND INSPECT
Push and pull the tubing toward and away from the fitting to ensure that it has been installed properly (tug it to test
the connection). Test and inspect the installation for any leaks.

TUBE REMOVAL
Relieve pressure from the tubing and fitting by shutting off the water supply. Push uniformly around the collar
flange against the fitting body while pulling the tubing away from the fitting to release it.
RECOMMENDED MAINTENANCE
It is recommended that installations are inspected at least annually and parts replaced as needed.
Tapping Into Cold Water Line
Caution: The water supply to your unit MUST be from the COLD WATER LINE. Hot water will severely
damage your R.O. System.
1.) Locate the cold water angle shut off valve underneath the sink and turn it off. Open cold water faucet to
release the pressure. On single handed faucets, the hot water may have to be turned off to prevent any
hot water cross over. If water continues to come out of faucet with angle valve turned off, the house main
will have to be turned off. Care must be taken for appliances that may be damaged by an interrupted
water supply.
2.) Easy Connector (Cold Water Supply Connector )
Your R/O system and the optional Undersink Faucet both come with a cold water connector. The style
that comes with the optional faucet is the most convenient to use. The Cold Water Supply Connector is
1/2" male x 1/2" female NPT, which is the size of most cold water lines under the sink. Under most sinks
is a flexible braided stainless steel line attached to the hard copper tubing that is part of your faucet.
Simply disconnect water lines where the braided hose connects to the hard copper and install the cold
water connector shown below. Make sure to reinstall any gaskets on both sides of the Cold Water
Connector. Insert the Red Tube from the R/O system into the ¼” quick connect on this cold water supply
connector.
