with one wider than the other. The wide blade is provided for your safety.Ifthe provided
plugdoes not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete
outlet.
•Protect the power cord from beingwalked on or pinched particularlyat plugs,
convenience receptacles, and the point where theyexit from the apparatus.
•Onlyuse attachments/accessories specified bythe manufacturer.
•Unplugthis apparatus duringlightningstorms or when unused for longperiods of time.

•Remove all batteries from this apparatus when unused for longperiods of time to prevent
damage or injurydue to possible batteryleakage.
•Refer all servicingto qualified service personnel. Servicingis required when the
apparatus has been damaged in anyway, such as power-supplycord or plugis damaged,
objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus does not operate normally, or has
been dropped.
•To avoid electric shock and/or damage to the unit,do not handle the transmitter base or
AC adapter with wet hands.
•There are no serviceable parts other than batteries,do not attempt to repair or modifythis
unit.
•The speaker unit is splash proof only, therefore do not submerge in water.
•Turn the transmitter and speaker power off when not in use.

QUICK SETUP
Preparation
•Turn off all equipment before connection and read the appropriate operatinginstructions.
WirelessShower Speaker Setup Diagram
[Dave] Need an illustration demonstrating a typical product usage. For example, the transmitter
positioned on a dresser top in bedroom, and the speaker positioned on the shower rod.
1. Slide iPod into the dock connector on Transmitter (or connect MP3 Player to Transmitter
usingprovided 3.5mm stereo audio cable).
2. Connect 5VDC AC Adapter to DC in jack on Transmitter.
3. Attach the hook on the back of Speaker / Receiver.
4. Connect 9VDC AC Adapter to DC in jack on Speaker / Receiver.
5. Turn on Transmitter power.
6. Turn on iPod (or MP3 Player) power and play.
7. Turn on Speaker / Receiver .
8. Adjust the volume to desired level.
9. Sit back and enjoy.
Avoiding Interference

The iThingShower Speaker system uses the
same radio frequencies as other devices that
maybe present in your home. Ifyou
experience static noise in your playback,
change the channel as needed. If the
interference persists, trymovingthe other
devices or the transmitter to another location.
Other devices that maypotentiallyinterfere
with include microwave oven, 2.4GHz cordless phone, 2.4GHz wireless network.

OPERATIONS
Transmitter
The Transmitter connectsto your iPod or MP3 Player and sends the music information to the
matching Speaker / Receiver unit using2.4GHz wireless signal.
Power by AC adapter

This is a recommended use of poweringthe Transmitter unit.
Plugthe included 5VDC AC adapter into a standard wall outlet, and connect the DC out to the
Transmitter.
Power by battery

The Transmitter can be operated bybatteryfor the outdoor use.
Open the batterycompartment cover and insert 3 xAAA alkaline batteries (not included).
Replace the batterycompartment cover.
Operating with iPod

iPod, iPod Mini, iPod Nano can be plugged directlyon to the provided 30-pin connector. The
iPod s audio is fed directly through the connector as well as being poweredbyit.
1. Slide in iPod firmlyinto the dock connector.
2. Raise the antenna.
3. Turn on the power switch of Transmitter.
4. Turn on the iPod.
Operating with MP3 Players

1. Connect 3.5mm stereo audio cable (provided) between Transmitter and MP3 player.
2. Raise the antenna.
3. Turn on the power switch of Transmitter.
4. Turn on the connected MP3 player.
Note: When you are using3.5mm stereo audio cable to connect Transmitter and MP3 Player, it is
recommended that you set your MP3 players volume to 50% - 70% of the maximum volume for
optimum playback results.
Channels
There are 16 channels choose from for clear sound playback. Ifyou experience a frequent static
noise from Speaker / Receiver, press Channel button on the Transmitter brieflyto select a
different channel. Repeatthis until clear channel is found. If none of the available channels
provide a clear sound playback, relocate the Transmitter to a different location and repeat above
steps.
Speaker / Receiver
The Speaker / Receiver unit receives the music information from the matching Transmitter and
reproduces the music.
WARNING: For use near water, do not use AC adapter, use 6 xAA batteries (not included).
IMPORTANT: When poweringthe Speaker / Receiver with batteries, turn the power off after
use. The speaker does not have the auto-shut off; therefore it will completelydrain the batteries
if the speaker is not turned off.
Power by battery

To maximize the mobility,the Speaker / Receiver unit can be operated with battery.
Open the batterycompartment cover and insert 6 xAA batteries (not included), then replace the
batterycompartment cover.
Power by AC adapter

This is recommended use if you are listening away from wet environment such as in shower, in
bath tub, near bathroom faucet, near kitchen sink, near swimmingpool, because it will conserve
the batterypower.

Plugthe included 9VDC AC adapter into a standard wall outlet, and connect the DC out to the
Speaker / Receiver.
WARNING: Under no circumstances, the speaker /receiver shall not be used with AC adapter
near water, including in shower, in bath tub, near bathroom faucet, near kitchen sink, near
swimming pool, etc.
Operating with iThing Transmitter

1. Turn on the power switch of Speaker / Receiver.
2. Adjust volume to desired level.
IMPORTANT: If the volume control on Speaker / Receiver unit has a little effect on the overall
listening level, adjust the volume from the source (iPod or MP3 players).
Standalone Operation (without iThing Transmitter)
The Speaker / Receiver unit can be operated standalone without the matchingtransmitter by
usingdirect connection method with the provided 3.5mm audio cable.

Speaker / Receiver unit.
1. Connect 3.5mm stereo audio cable between iPod or MP3 Player and Speaker / Receiver.
2. Turn on the power switch of Speaker / Receiver.
3. Turn on the connected iPod or MP3 Player.
4. Adjust volume to desired level.
NOTE: For some MP3 Players without the standard 3.5mm audio jack provision, a special
adapter may be required for this connection. Please consult your MP3 player s instruction
manual for the necessary adapter type.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Problems Suggestions
No Sound 1. Ensure the transmitter and the iPod or MP3 player
are powered ON.
2. Ensure the speaker is powered ON.
3. Ensure that the iPod or MP3 player is playing.
Distorted Sound 1. Check the speaker batteries.
2. Ensure the volume control is set to a moderate level.
3. Change the transmitter channel.
Static Sound 1. Change the transmitter channel.
2. Relocate the transmitter.
