Introduction
The CLINiC family of products from Iron Bow Healthcare Solutions consists of purpose-
built telehealth devices that enable the delivery of clinical healthcare from a distance.
This user uide covers the assembly and installation of the Iron Bow branded Remote
Controls for use with CLINiC and MedView Products.

ACC-V-VOLCTRL-A01 Tethered Volume Control
The remote volume control is supplied with an inte rated 2 feet lon ,
retractable coiled cable that extends to typically 5 feet. The cable can be
connected to any of the USB ports on the system, prior to powerin on
the product.
Adjusting Speaker Volume
To increase speaker volume:
Press and hold the “+” button on the hand-held volume
control until the desired sound level is achieved.
To decrease speaker and headphone volume:
Press and hold the “-“ button on the hand-held volume
control until the desired sound level is achieved.
“Escape (esc)” function
In some cases, the screen may pop up messa es that users will want to remove. This can
be done by plu in in a keyboard and pressin the esc key. Alternatively, the remote
control allows users to press the + and – buttons simultaneously to send an “esc”
keystroke to the computer.

Control Features
Connect - Answer call or place call to selected directory location which has been previously
stored.
Disconnect - End or reject call.
Video Privac - Stop the video transmission from the CLINiC main camera durin a call, or
revert to normal video transmission. This does not affect a preenetation video source.
Transmit Presentation Source - Display and transmit video ima es from a connected UVC
device compatible with the Vidyo application. Transmission is stopped by a second selection.
Zoom In/Zoom Out - Zoom main camera in or out.
Up/Down/Left/Right
- When not in a call:

Self-View - Enable or
disable self-view
mode.
Volume Up/Down –
Increase or Decrease
speaker volume.
Mic Mute - Mute or
unmute microphone.

Remote Controller Operation
The
Connect
control is used to make a call and accept an incomin call. The
arrow can be used to move throu h the Vidyo on screen contacts directory and the
by selectin the reen call button a call is a launched to the selected location. If
the system is not in auto-answer, the connect key is used to accept an incomin
call.
The
Hang Up
control is used to end a call. If the system is not in auto answer
mode, then the Han Up control can be used to reject an incomin call from a
remote site.
Microphone Mute selection stops the room audio from bein transmitted to the
remote site. A second selection resumes the audio transmission.
Camera Mute selection stops the ima e from the system main camera bein
transmitted to the remote site. A second selection resumes the camera
transmission. This control does not affect transmission of a presentation source.

The Self View control is used to obtain an on screen view of the ima e from the
main system camera which can be switched on or off by this control.
Transmit P
resentation Source
sransmits an ima e from a UVC device that is
compatible with the Vidyo software application bein used. The video outvout of
the device is transmitted to the remote site as a second ima e in conjunction with
the main system camera. The ima e will automatically be shown as a window on
the main screen. To end transmission, select the control a ain
The Arrow keys control camera up/down/left/ri ht movement when the system is
in a call.
When the system is not in a call, the arrow keys are used to move throu h the
Vidyo on screen contacts directory. When the system is in a call, the camera
zoom in and out functions are controlled by the + and - si ns
When the system is in a call, the volume functions are controlled by the + and –
si ns. A volume indicator is displayed on the main the screen indicatin the
volume level
The ESC (Escape) key is available to remove any unwanted system or network
messa es that can be automatically displayed by the network e. . “New software
update available”

Installing Tethered Remote Controller
The optional Vidyo CLINiC tethered controller conects to the system via a USB port and uses a
cable clampin arran ement to ensure that it is not accidently disconnected. A cradle is supplied
to store the controller when not in use which can either be wall mounted usin the two
screws/wall plu s provided, or it can be installed on the rear of the CLINiC System.
To install the controller and cradle on the Vidyo CLINiC:
1. Unpack controller and cradle
assembly from packa in
2. Ali n cradle mountin holes with
rear chassis attachment points (1)
and attach with supplied screws
3. Remove cable clamp screw (2), feed
remote cable throu h clamp and re-
attach usin existin screw
4. Identify USB 3 port on side of
chassis (3) and connect remote
controller cable
