Please note: Your cloudAshur hardware security module
may need to be charged before use for 20-30 minutes by
inserting into a powered USB port.
Your cloudAshur hardware security module ships with the
following default Admin PIN: 11223344.
Important! Please Read: In its default state, the cloudAshur
hardware security module cannot be registered. You MUST
change the default Admin PIN immediately as described
under the heading ‘How to change Admin Pin’ in order to
register your cloudAshur hardware security module via the
cloudAshur client App.
To unlock your cloudAshur hardware security module, please
follow the three simple steps under the heading ‘First Time
Use’.
You MUST change the Admin PIN from the default state
to your own unique 7-15 digit PIN by following the steps under
the heading ‘How to change Admin PIN’ in order to register
your cloudAshur hardware security module via the cloudAshur
client App.
1. Press and hold down the SHIFT ( ) button for one
second. LED becomes solid RED.
2. Press the KEY ( ) button once. GREEN and BLUE LEDs
blink on and o together.
3. Enter the default Admin PIN (11223344) and press the
KEY ( ) button once. The GREEN LED blinks on and o
indicating the cloudAshur is unlocked.

How to change Admin PIN
Unlocking with the Admin PIN
To unlock your cloudAshur hardware security module with your
unique Admin PIN follow the steps in the heading ‘Unlocking
with the Admin PIN’.
To exit Admin Mode (solid BLUE LED), press and hold down
the SHIFT ( ) button for one second, LED becomes solid
RED and then fades out.
1. Unlock your cloudAshur hardware security module with
the default Admin PIN (11223344) as described under ‘First
Time Use’.
2. With the GREEN LED blinking on and o, press the
KEY ( ) button 3times (KEY ( ) x 3) within 2 seconds.
LED will change to solid BLUE (Admin Mode).
3. With the device in Admin Mode (solid BLUE LED) press
and hold down together both ‘KEY ( ) + 2’ buttons. LEDs
will change to blinking GREEN and solid BLUE.
4. Enter your NEW 7-15 digit Admin PIN and Press the KEY
( ) button once. GREEN LED will continue to blink and
the BLUE LED will remain solid.
5. Re-enter your NEW Admin PIN and press the KEY ( )
button once. BLUE LED will rapidly blink and then become
solid indicating the Admin PIN has been successfully
changed.
1. Press and hold down the SHIFT ( ) button for one
second. The RED LED will become solid.
2. In Standby State (solid RED LED) press the KEY ( )
button once. GREEN and BLUE LEDs blink together.
3. Enter your Admin PIN and press the KEY ( ) button
again. GREEN LED will blink on and o indicating the
cloudAshur has been successfully unlocked as Admin.
Note: Once your cloudAshur hardware security module
has been successfully unlocked, the GREEN LED will
remain blinking for 30 seconds only, during which time your
cloudAshur needs to be connected to a powered USB port.

Important! Please Read: To register your cloudAshur
hardware security module please choose one of the following
registration methods that apply to you:
• Personal - cloudAshur NOT to be used with Remote
Management (central management software).
• Enterprise - cloudAshur used in conjunction with
Remote Management (central management software).
Personal Registration
As your cloudAshur hardware security module will not be used
in conjunction with the ‘Remote Management’, you will NOT
require a ‘PIN Number’ or ‘License Key’ during the registration
process. Simply complete (step 3 - page 6) field numbers
1-6, leave the checkbox in field number 7 unchecked, skip field
numbers 8 and 9 and then click ‘Register’ and start using your
cloudAshur.
Enterprise Registration
The cloudAshur hardware security module is to be used
by organisations that will centrally manage and monitor all
employees who use the cloudAshur modules issued by the
organisation through the use of the cloudAshur Remote
Management Console (central management software).
If you are an employee and have been issued with a cloudAshur
module by your organisation’s Administrator, a ‘You Have
Been Invited’ email will be sent to you by your Administrator
containing the following important registration information:
1. A link to download the Windows or macOS cloudAshur
client Apps.
2. A PIN Number - this will be required to be entered in
field No. 8 during the registration process (step 3).
3. A License Key - this will also be required to be entered in
field No. 9 during the registration process (step 3).

Once you have finished installing either a Windows or macOS
client App, unlock your cloudAshur hardware security module
as described in the heading ‘Unlocking with the Admin
PIN’. With your cloudAshur unlocked (blinking GREEN LED),
connect to your computer’s USB port.
Open your Windows or macOS client App (image 1: Windows
App - Login Form) and click ‘Registration’ to register your
cloudAshur hardware security module. In the macOS client
App, click ‘Sign Up’ to register.

To ‘Register your cloudAshur’ (image 2: Windows App -
Registration Form) complete the fields under ‘New User’. Follow
the same method if using macOS client App.

1. Enter a ‘Username’.
2. Enter your ‘First‘ and ‘Last’ name.
3. Enter and confirm your ‘Email Address’.
4. Enter and confirm your ‘Password’ - your password must
range from 8 to 64 characters in length.
5. Enter your ‘Phone number’.
6. The ‘Device number’ will be automatically detected if your
cloudAshur module is unlocked and connected to your
computer (solid GREEN LED). If the device number has
not been detected, click on the refresh button
to detect.
7. If your cloudAshur module is to be Enterprise Registered,
issued to you by your organisation’s Administrator,
make sure to check the checkbox (as in above image 2:
WindowsApp - Registration Form). If your cloudAshur is to
be Personal Registered leave the checkbox unchecked,
skip steps 8 and 9 and proceed to step 10.
8. Enter the ‘PIN’ emailed to you by your Administrator
(Enterprise Registration Only)
9. Enter the ‘License Key’ emailed to you by your
Administrator (Enterprise Registration Only)
10. Click the ‘Register’ button to complete the registration
process.
11. Click on the forward button to login (step 4).

Enter your ‘Username’ and ‘Password’ and then click the ‘Login’

method if using macOS client App.
After ‘Sign in’ your cloudAshur virtual drive will open. To add
your cloud folder/s and local folders to your cloudAshur virtual
drive, click the cloudAshur icon in your system tray
(Windows - bottom right corner of your screen) or menu bar
(macOS - top of your screen) once to open the preferences
menu and then click on the ‘+’ symbol to browse and select
your cloud folder/s and any local folder/s (image 4: Windows
App - Browse For Folder). Follow the same method if using
macOS client App.

After adding your cloud accounts and any local folder/s
(image 5: Windows App - Folders), double click the cloudAshur
icon in your system tray (Windows - bottom right corner
of your screen) or menu bar (macOS - top of your screen) to
open your cloudAshur virtual drive (image 6).
Within your cloudAshur virtual drive, click on your cloud/local
folder to open, in this case, ‘OneDrive - iStorage’ (image 6:
Windows App - cloudAshur Virtual Drive). Follow the same
method if using macOS client App.

Drag and drop or copy and paste your files to your cloudAshur
virtual drive and a green unlocked padlock symbol will appear
on the bottom left hand corner of each file (as seen in image 7:
Windows App - cloudAshur virtual drive with encrypted files)
indicating the files have been encrypted but can be accessed
through your virtual drive. Meanwhile the same files are
encrypted when accessed directly from your cloud account.

Bitte beachten Sie: Ihr cloudAshur Hardware-Sicherheitsmodul
muss möglicherweise 20 bis 30 Minuten lang durch Anschließen
an einen mit Strom versorgten USB-Anschluss aufgeladen werden,
bevor es in Betrieb genommen werden kann.
Ihr cloudAshur Hardware-Sicherheitsmodul ist standardmäßig mit
folgender Admin-PIN konfiguriert: 11223344.
Wichtig! Bitte lesen: In seinem Standardzustand kann das
cloudAshur Hardware-Sicherheitsmodul nicht registriert werden.
Sie MÜSSEN die standardmäßige Admin-PIN umgehend
entsprechend den unter „Ändern der Admin-PIN“ aufgeführten
Schritten ändern, um Ihr cloudAshur Hardware-Sicherheitsmodul
über die cloudAshur Client-App zu registrieren.
Um Ihr cloudAshur Hardware-Sicherheitsmodul zu entsperren,
folgen Sie bitte den drei einfachen Schritten unter „Erstmalige
Verwendung“.
Sie MÜSSEN die standardmäßige Admin-PIN in Ihre eigene 7- bis
15-stellige PIN ändern, indem Sie die Schritte unter „Ändern der
Admin-PIN“ befolgen. Nur so können Sie Ihr cloudAshur Hardware-
Sicherheitsmodul über die cloudAshur Client-App registrieren.
1. Halten Sie die Taste SHIFT ( ) für eine Sekunde gedrückt. Die
LED wird durchgehend ROT.
2. Drücken Sie die Taste KEY ( ) einmal. Die GRÜNE und
BLAUE LED blinken gemeinsam.
3. Geben Sie die standardmäßige Admin-PIN (11223344) ein und
drücken Sie die Taste KEY ( ) einmal. Die GRÜNE LED blinkt
jetzt und zeigt an, dass Ihr cloudAshur entsperrt ist.

Ändern der Admin-PIN
Entsperren mit der Admin-PIN
Um Ihr cloudAshur Hardware-Sicherheitsmodul mit Ihrer eindeutigen
Admin-PIN zu entsperren, folgen Sie den Schritten unter „Entsperren
mit der Admin-PIN“.
Um den Admin-Modus (durchgehend BLAUE LED) zu verlassen,
drücken und halten Sie die Taste SHIFT ( ) eine Sekunde lang. Die
LED wechselt zu durchgehend ROT und erlischt dann.
1. Entsperren Sie Ihr cloudAshur Hardware-Sicherheitsmodul
mit der standardmäßigen Admin-PIN (11223344), wie unter
„Erstmalige Verwendung“ beschrieben.
2. Während die GRÜNE LED blinkt, drücken Sie die Taste
KEY ( ) 3mal (KEY ( ) x 3) innerhalb von 2 Sekunden. Die
LED wechselt zu durchgehend BLAU (Admin-Modus).
3. Während sich das Gerät im Admin-Modus befindet
(durchgehend BLAUE LED), drücken und halten Sie die Tasten
KEY ( ) + 2. Die LEDs wechseln zu blinkendem GRÜN und
durchgehendem BLAU.
4. Geben Sie Ihre NEUE 7- bis 15-stellige Admin-PIN ein und
drücken Sie die Taste KEY ( ) ein Mal. Die GRÜNE LED blinkt
jetzt weiter, während die BLAUE LED durchgehend leuchtet.
5. Geben Sie Ihre NEUE Admin-PIN erneut ein und drücken Sie
die Taste KEY ( ) ein Mal. Die BLAUE LED blinkt schnell und
leuchtet dann durchgehend. So wird angezeigt, dass die Admin-
PIN erfolgreich geändert wurde.
1. Halten Sie die Taste SHIFT ( ) für eine Sekunde gedrückt. Die
ROTE LED leuchtet jetzt dauerhaft.
2. Drücken Sie im Standby-Modus (dauerhaft leuchtende ROTE
LED) ein Mal die Taste KEY ( ). Die GRÜNE und BLAUE LED
blinken zusammen.
3. Geben Sie Ihre Admin-PIN ein und drücken Sie die Taste
KEY ( ) erneut. Die GRÜNE LED blinkt jetzt und zeigt so an,
dass Ihr cloudAshur erfolgreich als Administrator entsperrt wurde.
Hinweis: Sobald Ihr cloudAshur Hardware-Sicherheitsmodul
erfolgreich entsperrt wurde, blinkt die GRÜNE LED 30 Sekunden
lang weiter. In dieser Zeit muss Ihr cloudAshur an einen mit Strom
versorgten USB-Anschluss angeschlossen werden.

Wichtig! Bitte lesen: Um Ihr cloudAshur Hardware-
Sicherheitsmodul zu registrieren, wählen Sie bitte eine der folgenden
Registrierungsmethoden:
• Persönlich - cloudAshur wird NICHT mit Remote
Management (zentrale Verwaltungssoftware) verwendet.
• Geschäftlich - cloudAshur wird zusammen mit Remote
Management (zentrale Verwaltungssoftware) verwendet.
Persönliche Registrierung
Da Ihr cloudAshur Hardware-Sicherheitsmodul nicht zusammen
mit „Remote Management“ verwendet werden soll, ist während
des Registrierungsvorgangs KEINE „PIN“ oder ein „Lizenzschlüssel“
erforderlich. Füllen Sie einfach (Schritt 3 - Seite 6) die Felder 1-6 aus,
lassen Sie das Kontrollkästchen in Feld 7 deaktiviert, überspringen
Sie die Felder 8, und 9 und klicken Sie dann auf „Registrieren“,
um mit der Verwendung Ihres cloudAshur zu beginnen.
Geschäftliche Registrierung
Das cloudAshur Hardware-Sicherheitsmodul soll von Unternehmen
verwendet werden, die alle Nutzer der ausgestellten cloudAshur
Module durch die Verwendung der cloudAshur Remote
Management Console (zentrale Verwaltungssoftware) verwalten
und überwachen.
Wenn Sie ein Mitarbeiter sind und vom Administrator Ihres
Unternehmens ein cloudAshur Modul erhalten haben, wird Ihnen von
Ihrem Administrator die E-Mail „Sie wurden eingeladen“ gesendet,
die folgende wichtige Registrierungsinformationen enthält:
1. Ein Link zum Herunterladen der cloudAshur Client-Apps für
Windows oder macOS.
2. Eine PIN - diese ist erforderlich, um im Registrierungsprozess in
Feld 8 eingegeben zu werden (Schritt 3).
3. Ein Lizenzschlüssel - dieser ist ebenfalls zur Eingabe in
Feld Nr. 9 während des Registrierungsprozesses (Schritt 3)
erforderlich.

Wenn Sie die Installation der Windows- oder macOS-Client-
App beendet haben, entsperren Sie Ihr cloudAshur Hardware-
Sicherheitsmodul wie unter „Entsperren mit der Admin-PIN“
beschrieben. Schließen Sie das cloudAshur an den USB-Anschluss
Ihres Computers an, während es entsperrt ist (blinkende GRÜNE LED).
Önen Sie Ihre Windows- oder macOS-Client-App (Abb. 1: Windows-
App - Anmeldungsformular) und klicken Sie auf „Registrierung“,
um Ihr cloudAshur Hardware-Sicherheitsmodul zu registrieren.
Klicken Sie in der macOS-Client-App auf „Registrieren“, um sich zu
registrieren.

Um Ihr cloudAshur zu registrieren (Abb. 2: Windows-App -
Registrierungsformular), füllen Sie die Felder unter „Neuer Benutzer“
aus. Befolgen Sie bei Verwendung der macOS-Client-App die
gleichen Schritte.

1. Geben Sie einen „Benutzernamen“ ein.
2. Geben Sie Ihren Vor- und Nachnamen ein.
3. Geben Sie Ihre E-Mail-Adresse ein und bestätigen Sie sie.
4. Geben Sie Ihr „Kennwort“ ein - Ihr Kennwort muss 8 bis 64
Zeichen lang sein.
5. Geben Sie Ihre Telefonnummer ein.
6. Die Gerätenummer wird automatisch erkannt, wenn
Ihr cloudAshur Modul entsperrt und an Ihren Computer
angeschlossen ist (durchgehend GRÜNE LED). Wenn die
Gerätenummer nicht erkannt wurde, klicken Sie zur Erkennung
auf die Aktualisierungsschaltfläche
.
7. Wenn Sie Ihr cloudAshur Modul in einem Unternehmen
registrieren und Sie es vom Administrator Ihres Unternehmens
erhalten haben, aktivieren Sie das Kontrollkästchen (siehe
Abb. 2: Windows-App - Registrierungsformular). Wenn Sie Ihr
cloudAshur privat registrieren, lassen Sie das Kontrollkästchen
deaktiviert, überspringen Sie die Schritte 8 und 9 und fahren Sie
mit Schritt 10 fort.
8. Geben Sie die PIN ein, die Sie von Ihrem Administrator erhalten
haben (nur Unternehmensregistrierung)
9. Geben Sie den ‘Lizenzschlüssel ein, den Ihr
Administrator Ihnen per E-Mail gesendet hat (nur
Unternehmensregistrierung)
10. Klicken Sie auf die Schaltfläche „Registrieren“, um den
Registrierungsvorgang abzuschließen.
11. Klicken Sie zur Anmeldung auf die Schaltfläche „Weiter“
(Schritt 4).

Geben Sie Benutzername und Kennwort ein und klicken Sie
dann auf die Schaltfläche Anmelden (Abb. 3: Windows-App -
Anmeldungsformular). Befolgen Sie die gleichen Schritte, wenn Sie
die Client-App für macOS verwenden.
Nach dem Anmelden önet sich Ihr virtuelles cloudAshur Laufwerk.
Um Ihre Cloud- und lokalen Ordner zu Ihrem virtuellen cloudAshur
Laufwerk hinzuzufügen, klicken Sie auf das cloudAshur Symbol
in Ihrem Infobereich (Windows - untere rechte Bildschirmecke)
bzw. Menüleiste (macOS - oberer Bildschirmrand), um das
Einstellungsmenü zu önen, und klicken Sie dann auf das Symbol
+, um Cloud-Ordner und/oder jegliche lokalen Ordner auszuwählen
(Abb. 4: Windows-App - nach Ordner durchsuchen). Befolgen Sie die
gleichen Schritte, wenn Sie die Client-App für macOS verwenden.

Doppelklicken Sie nach dem Hinzufügen Ihrer Cloud-Konten und
jeglicher lokalen Ordner (Abb. 5: Windows-App - Ordner) auf
das cloudAshur Symbol in Ihrem Infobereich (Windows -
untere rechte Bildschirmecke) bzw. Menüleiste (macOS - oberer
Bildschirmrand), um Ihr virtuelles cloudAshur Laufwerk zu önen
(Abb. 6).
Klicken Sie in Ihrem virtuellen cloudAshur Laufwerk auf Ihren Cloud-
oder lokalen Ordner, um ihn zu önen; in diesem Fall OneDrive
- iStorage (Abb. 6: Windows-App - Virtuelles cloudAshur Laufwerk).
Befolgen Sie die gleichen Schritte, wenn Sie die Client-App für
macOS verwenden.

Ziehen oder kopieren Sie Ihre Dateien in Ihr virtuelles cloudAshur
Laufwerk, und ein grünes oenes Schlosssymbol erscheint in der
unteren linken Ecke jeder Datei (siehe Abb. 7: Windows App -
virtuelles cloudAshur Laufwerk mit verschlüsselten Dateien). Damit
wird gekennzeichnet, dass die Dateien verschlüsselt wurden, aber in
Ihrem virtuellen Laufwerk zugänglich sind. Gleichzeitig werden die
gleichen Dateien verschlüsselt, wenn Sie direkt über Ihr Cloud-Konto
darauf zugreifen.

Remarque : Il se peut que votre module de sécurité matériel clou-
dAshur doive être chargé avant utilisation. Pour cela, insérez-le dans
un port USB alimenté. Cette opération peut prendre 20 à 30 minutes.
Votre module de sécurité matériel cloudAshur vous est vendu avec le
code PIN Administrateur suivant : 11223344.
Important! À lire : Le module de sécurité matériel cloudAshur ne
peut pas être enregistré s'il est en mode par défaut. Vous DEVEZ im-
médiatement modifier le code PIN Administrateur tel qu'indiqué
dans la partie « Comment modifier le code PIN Administrateur
» afin d'enregistrer votre module de sécurité matériel cloudAshur via
l'appli client cloudAshur.
Pour déverrouiller votre module de sécurité matériel cloudAshur,
suivez les trois étapes simples décrites dans « Première utilisation
».
Vous DEVEZ modifier le code PIN Administrateur pour le passer
du mode par défaut à votre code PIN unique de 7 à 15 chires en
suivant les étapes décrites dans « Comment modifier le code PIN
Administrateur », et enregistrer votre module de sécurité matériel
cloudAshur via l’appli client cloudAshur.
1. Appuyez et maintenez la touche SHIFT ( ) enfoncée pendant
une seconde. Le voyant s'allume en ROUGE.
2. Appuyez sur la touche CLÉ ( ) une fois. Les voyants VERT et
BLEU clignotent en même temps.
3. Saisissez le code PIN Administrateur par défaut (11223344)
puis appuyez une fois sur la touche CLÉ ( ). Le voyant VERT
clignote pour indiquer que le cloudAshur est déverrouillé.

Comment modifier le code

Déverrouillage à l'aide du code
PIN Administrateur
Pour déverrouiller votre module de sécurité matériel cloudAshur avec
votre code PIN Administrateur unique, suivez les étapes décrites dans
« Déverrouiller avec le code PIN Administrateur ».
Pour quitter le mode Administrateur (voyant BLEU allumé), appuyez
et maintenez la touche SHIFT ( ) enfoncée pendant une seconde,
le voyant s'allume en ROUGE, puis s'éteint.
1. Déverrouiller votre module de sécurité matériel cloudAshur
avec le code PIN Administrateur (11223344) tel qu'indiqué dans
«Première utilisation ».
2. Lorsque le voyant VERT clignote, appuyez sur la touche
CLÉ ( ) 3fois (CLÉ ( ) x 3) en 2 secondes. Le voyant
s'allumera en BLEU (Mode Administrateur).
3. Avec le périphérique en Mode Administrateur (voyant BLEU
fixe) appuyez et maintenez la touche « CLÉ ( ) enfoncée + 2’
touches. Les voyants passeront au VERT clignotant et BLEU fixe.
4. Saisissez votre NOUVEAU Code Administrateur de 7 à 15
chires et appuyez sur la touche CLÉ ( ) une fois. Le voyant
VERT continuera de clignoter, et le voyant BLEU restera fixe.
5. Saisissez à nouveau votre NOUVEAU code PIN
Administrateur et appuyez à nouveau sur la touche CLÉ ( )
une fois. Le voyant BLEU clignotera rapidement puis restera
fixe pour indiquer que le code PIN Administrateur a été modifié
avec succès.
1. Appuyez et maintenez la touche SHIFT ( ) enfoncée pendant
une seconde. Le voyant ROUGE deviendra fixe.
2. En mode Veille (le voyant ROUGE est fixe), appuyez une fois sur
le bouton CLÉ ( ). Les voyants VERT et BLEU se mettent à
clignoter simultanément.
3. Saisissez votre code PIN Administrateur et appuyez à

Note : Une fois que votre module de sécurité matériel cloudAshur
a été déverrouillé avec succès, le voyant VERT ne clignotera que
pendant 30 secondes, temps nécessaire pour que le cloudAshur se
connecte au port USB alimenté.

Enregistrement cloudAshur

suivantes qui s'applique à vous :
• Personnel - le cloudAshur NE DOIT PAS être utilisé avec
Remote Management (logiciel de gestion centralisée).
• Entreprise - le cloudAshur sera utilisé parallèlementà
Remote Management (logiciel de gestion centralisée).
Inscription personnelle
Comme votre module de sécurité matériel cloudAshur ne sera pas
utilisé avec « Remote Management », vous N'AUREZ BESOIN
ni d'un « code PIN » ni d'une « Clé de licence » lors du processus
d'enregistrement. Il vous suit simplement de compléter les champs
1 à 6 (dans l’étape 3 – page 22), de ne pas cocher la case numéro
7, ignorer les champs 8 et 9, puis cliquer sur « S'enregistrer » et
commencer à utiliser le cloudAshur.
Enregistrement Entreprise
Le module de sécurité matériel cloudAshur est destiné à être
utilisé par les organismes qui géreront et contrôleront de manière
centralisée tous les employés qui utilisent les modules cloudAshur
émis par l'organisme, grâce à l'utilisation de la console Remote
Management cloudAshur (logiciel de gestion centralisée).
Si vous êtes employé et avez reçu un module cloudAshur de la part
de l'Administrateur de votre organisme, un email « Vous avez été
invité » vous sera envoyé par votre Administrateur. Il contiendra les
informations d'enregistrement importantes suivantes :
1. Un lien pour télécharger l'appli client Windows ou macOS
cloudAshur.
2. Un code PIN - à saisir au
champ n° 8 de la procédure d'enregistrement (étape 3).
3. Une clé de Licence - à saisir également au
champ n° 9 lors de la procédure d'enregistrement (étape 3).
