This User Guide is intended to provide you with guidelines
to ensure that operation of this product is safe and does
not pose risk to the user. Any use that does not conform
to the guidelines described in this User Guide may void the
limited warranty.

this guide for reference. This product is intended for household use only.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Read all instructions before using.
2. Before connecting the kettle to the power supply, check that the voltage indicated on the appliance (underside
of the kettle & base) corresponds with the voltage in your home. If this is not the case, contact your dealer and
do not use the kettle.
3. This unit is equipped with a 3-prong grounding-type plug, and should be used only with a properly connected
grounding-type outlet.
4. Use this product only for its intended purpose.
5. To protect against fire, electric shock and injury to persons, DO NOT IMMERSE the kettle, cord, plug or base
unit in water or other liquids.
6. Always attach the plug to the appliance first, then plug cord into wall outlet. To disconnect, push switch to Off,
then remove plug from wall outlet.
7. Unplug the appliance from the outlet when not in use and while cleaning. Allow the unit to cool before moving
or cleaning it.
8. Do not let the cord hang over an edge or touch a hot surface.
9. Do not place on or near a hot burner or oven.
10. Should you accidentally allow the kettle to operate without water, the boil-dry protection feature will
automatically switch it off. If this should occur, allow the kettle to cool before filling with cold water and
re-boiling.
11. Place the kettle on a stable, flat surface where the children can’t reach it.

12. Always take care to pour boiling water slowly and carefully without tipping the kettle too steeply.
Be careful when opening the lid for refilling when the kettle is hot. Scalding may occur if the lid is removed
during the heating cycle.
13. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot water.
14. The use of attachments that are not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may result in fire, electric
shock or personal injury.
15. While boiling water, avoid contact with steam from the spout.
16. Always ensure the lid is closed and do not lift it while the water is boiling. Scalding may occur if the lid is
removed during heating.
17. Do not use the appliance if the supply cord is damaged.
18. Do not move the power base while the kettle is switched on.
19. The kettle can only be used with the power base provided.
20. Do not over-fill the kettle; boiling water may overflow.
21. Do not use the kettle outdoors.
22. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliances by a person responsible for their safety.
Initial Use
If you are using the kettle for the first time, it is recommended that you clean it by boiling a full kettle of water
twice and then discarding the water.
Operation
1. To fill the kettle, remove it from the power base and open the lid by pressing down the lid
button. Fill with the desired amount of water. Always fill the kettle between the minimum
(0.5L) and maximum (1.7L) marks. Too little water will result in the kettle switching off
before the water has boiled.
NOTE: Do not fill the water over the maximum level, as water may spill out of the spout when
boiling. Ensure that the lid is firmly in place before connecting the power cord to the outlet.
2. Close the lid. Position the kettle on the power base. Make sure the kettle contacts with the
power base completely.
Function Keys
This kettle is digitally controlled to boil water to the set temperature and remain on the keep warm setting for
120 minutes. The function buttons are on the handle:
ON/OFF, SET, KEEP WARM, Temperature Settings
TEA SETTING
Delicate 160° F
Green 175° F
White 185° F
Oolong 190° F
French Press
Herbal 200° F
Black
Boil 212° F

3. To operate, press the ON/OFF button. The default temperature is 100°. To choose a different temperature, press
the SET button until the desired setting is chosen. The red indicator light above the chosen temperature lights up.
The kettle will begin to heat to that setting.
NOTE: If another temperature setting is not selected after 3 seconds, the program will remain at the last
setting chosen.
When the chosen temperature has been reached, the unit will shut off and lights will go out, unless the KEEP
WARM function is activated.
4. To program the kettle to automatically switch to KEEP WARM after boiling, simply press the KEEP WARM key
after you’ve set your desired temperature. The temperature will remain constant in the KEEP WARM mode for
120 minutes and the indicator light will blink. (Note: If the temperature was set at 100°, the KEEP WARM
function automatically defaults to 90°.) To keep water warm after 120 minutes, press the KEEP WARM key again.
Automatic Memory: The KEEP WARM feature will remain in effect if the kettle is lifted off the base.
To cancel KEEP WARM at any time, press the KEEP WARM key.
Boil-dry Protection
Should you accidentally allow the kettle to operate without water, the boil-dry protection feature will automatically
switch the kettle off. If this should occur, allow the kettle to cool before filling with cold water and re-boiling.
Care and Cleaning
Always disconnect the appliance from the power outlet and let it to cool completely before cleaning.
Never immerse the kettle, base or cord in water.
Note: Product is NOT dishwasher-safe.
Removing Mineral Deposits
Mineral deposits in tap water may cause the kettle interior to discolor. To remove this build-up, use a non-toxic
liquid descaler in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
Optionally:
1. Pour 3 cups of white vinegar into the kettle; fill with water. Allow stand overnight. Do not boil.
2. Empty the solution from the kettle. Any stains remaining inside the spout can be removed by rubbing with
a damp cloth. Fill the kettle with clean water, bring to boil, and then discard the water. Repeat if necessary.
Cleaning External Housing
Wipe the external housing with a damp cloth or mild household cleaner.
CAUTION: Do not use chemical, steel, wooden or abrasive cleaners to clean the outside of the kettle.
Cleaning the Filter
Frequently clean the filter to keep water fresh. Remove the filter by pulling it up and out of the unit. Run it under
hot water and rub with a clean cloth or brush. Allow to dry before replacing into the kettle.
