IVC US Details & Denitions of Commercial Warranties
Warranties as defined below ensure that your IVC US floor will perform properly for the stated warranty period
when installed in accordance with IVC US Commercial Installation Guide - Laminate PressXpress &
DropXpress over approved substrates and underlayments and using the recommended sealers/sealants (if
applicable) with proper care and maintenance under normal circumstances.
Manufacturing Defects Warranty ensures that your floor will be free of manufacturing defects.
Click Connection Integrity Warranty ensures that your floor’s locking system will remain connected and
preserved.
Household Stain Resistant Warranty ensures that your floor will not permanently stain from common
household products, excluding permanent marker, permanent dyes & finishing stains.
Fade Resistance Warranty ensures your floor will resist fading over time*.
Wear Resistance Warranty ensures your floor will not wear through the wear layer under normal household
conditions and proper maintenance**.
* Laminate is fade resistant, not 100% fade proof. It is generally accepted that all gloss finishes (i.e. paint, glass, furniture
or car surfaces, etc.) are susceptible to superficial fading/gloss variation. This is not considered as a product fault.
** Wear-through is defined as complete loss of the wear layer so that the printed pattern or design is altered. Gloss
reduction is not considered wear and is not covered by this warranty. In addition, in the event of V-Groove (beveled
edge), the reduced resistance of the V-Groove specifically is not included in the warranty.

IVC US General Laminate Commercial Limited
Warranty Conditions & Owner Obligations
* Spas, saunas, steam rooms, pool areas and/or excessive moisture areas are NOT approved or warranted.
These warranties only extend to the original end user and are not transferable.
In order to maintain and protect your coverage under the terms of these warranties, it is the Owner’s
obligation to adhere to the following:
1. Know which warranties apply to your particular Laminate flooring.
2. Keep proof of your purchase in the form of a bill, invoice or statement from your IVC retailer that shows the date and
price you paid for the Laminate flooring (including labor).
3. Understand that IVC US warrants first quality products—which are used only for recommended Commercial* use
such as those outlined in the Application Chart—will perform properly for the stated warranty period when installed
in accordance with IVC US Commercial Installation Guide – Laminate PressXpress & DropXpress over
approved substrates and underlayments and using the recommended accessories (if applicable). The warranty
period, when valid, begins on the date of the original installation.
Commercial use is defined as: use in environments (which do not experience heavy commercial traffic) such as
those outlined in the Application Chart below. PLEASE NOTE warranty exclusions with respect to caster chairs
and rolling loads. If you have frequent or heavy rolling conditions, click products can be glued down to help
reduce the risk of joint separation from rolling load traffic; however our warranty still excludes any problems
associated with rolling loads. Applications considered “industrial” do not qualify for warranty coverage. If there is
a question as to the type of use that is considered “Commercial,” please contact your IVC US representative prior
to purchase and installation.

Warranty Conditions & Owner Obligations
4.
Ensure Laminate flooring is installed in an environment where the room temperature is between 65°F - 85°F (18°C -
29°C) for 48 hours before, during and after installation. Maintain a relative indoor air humidity between 40 % and 65%
year round in order to limit natural expansion and contraction.
5. Inspect flooring material prior to installation for any imperfections or manufacturing related defects. IVC US floorings
receive extensive testing and visual examination in an attempt to assure your shipped floor is always first quality. It is
the responsibility of the installer/end user to confirm the received material is free of any obvious visible conditions that
may be detrimental to the appearance and/or performance of the product.
• Minor color, shade and/or texture variations are normal. Any variances between actual material, product
samples and/or brochures should be addressed with your retailer prior to installation. If the retailer
determines the condition “unacceptable,” the manufacturer should be informed immediately.
6. Support furniture with wide, weight-bearing, smooth non-staining floor protectors or non-staining felt pads. The
protectors/pads should be at least one inch in diameter, and rest flat on the floor. The heavier the item, the wider the
floor protector should be. Non-staining felt pads should be inspected periodically and maintained with respect to the
amount of foot traffic to remove imbedded material to avoid abrasion. Make sure any metal protectors are rust-proof.
Replace narrow dome furniture rests with the appropriate width, weight-bearing flooring protectors.
• Chair mats designed for hard surface floors are recommended under all chairs and stools with
wheels/casters.
7. Rooms with immediate access to the street need a transition between the street and the room where the laminate is
installed. We also recommend using a transition piece in each doorway.
8. Understand that laminate flooring is a floating system and should NOT be nailed or glued down. Doing so will void the
warranty.
9. Do NOT install laminate flooring in rooms where a drain is present.
10. Perform proper cleaning and maintenance regularly and as needed. See IVC US Laminate Care & Maintenance
Guide: Commercial for details.

2. Improper Installation: Material installed not in accordance with IVC US Commercial Installation Guide Laminate
PressXpress & DropXpress* including any and all problems caused by the use of non-recommended accessories,
underlayment, subfloors, baseboards, and/or preparation of the substrate are not warranted. IVC US does not
warrant installer workmanship.
3. IVC US will not pay for labor costs to repair or replace material with visible conditions that were apparent before
installation.
4. Improper maintenance which results in loss of gloss or buildup of a dulling film. This includes damage caused by
steam mops.
5. Damage resulting from neglect or misuse of strong detergents, chemicals, corrosives; including but not limited to
stains from paints, dyes, mats, fertilizers or other similar materials.
6. Damage caused by moving appliances or heavy furniture without protecting the floor. (Always protect floor by using
plywood or hard board runways when moving heavy objects and also when using an appliance dolly, heavy objects
equipped with wheels or rollers, including two and four wheel carts etc.)
7. Damage resulting from accidents, casualty events, abuse or improper usage (including pet related damage, such as
chewing, digging, clawing, etc.). Accidents, abuse and improper usage are defined as, but are not limited to, damage
caused by: hard or metal wheels/casters** on furniture, vacuum cleaner frames or rotating beater bars, burns, cuts,
impact from heavy and sharp objects, narrow or spike heels, cleats, grit, sand, etc., as well as, damage resulting from
unprotected furniture legs. Sand, dirt and other abrasive material must be prevented by placing a suitable floor mat at
all door entrances.
8. Damage caused by heavy rolling loads or wheel chairs (motorized and non-motorized).
9. Damage caused by appliances or plumbing leaks, such as from ice makers, refrigerators, washbasins, dishwashers,
natural disasters and/or steam mops.

IVC US Laminate Commercial Warranty Details
Warranty Remedy
If your IVC US floor fails to perform as stated in the applicable IVC US General Laminate Light Commercial Limited
Warranty, IVC US will determine whether it will assist in the repair of the defective area or supply new IVC US material of
the same color, design or grade if available. If unavailable or discontinued, IVC US reserves the right to select and supply
similar IVC US material. At times, it may be necessary to contract a Certified Inspector to determine unknown causes; IVC
US reserves the right to determine if this action is necessary or not.
1. If IVC US authorizes repairs or replacement of a section as a result of a warranty claim, you will be required to clear
any items placed over the affected area subsequent to the original installation. IVC US will not credit or reimburse
cost associated with the removal of those items.
2. IVC US will reimburse reasonable labor costs (up to 100%) based on a detailed statement if professional
installation was paid for when the original floor was installed for years 1 and 2. For years 3 through 5, 50% of
reasonable labor costs will be reimbursed if professional installation was paid for when the original floor was
installed. After 5 years, there will be no reimbursement for installation labor.
3. Labor reimbursement will not be considered for installations not adhering to the IVC US Commercial Installation
Guide - Laminate PressXpress & DropXpress*.
4. Warranty coverage for a replacement floor will be limited to the remaining portion of the original warranty.
If there is a question as to what is considered “reasonable cost,” please call IVC US at 888-225-8287 and ask for our
Claims Department.
Consequential or Incidental Damages
IVC US EXCLUDES AND WILL NOT PAY CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES UNDER THESE
WARRANTIES. By this we mean that IVC US will not credit or pay for any loss, expense, or damage other than to the
flooring itself that may result from a manufacturing related defects in the flooring. Some examples of consequential or
incidental damages are: replacement of subfloors or underlayments, trim moldings, disconnecting / reconnecting
appliances or fixtures as well as moving of furniture.
NOTE: If your floor is replaced because of discoloration due to “bottom up staining” or mold or mildew growth, this is
considered a site-related condition and the replacement floor will not be warranted against future discoloration or staining.
THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES BEYOND THIS EXPRESSED WARRANTY. ALL OTHER WARRANTIES
INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A
PARTICULAR USE, ARE EXCLUDED. PLEASE NOTE: SOME STATES AND PROVIDENCES DO NOT
ALLOW EXCLUSIONS OR LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, SO THE
LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

IVC US Commercial Installation Guide –
Laminate PXP & DXP
IVC US Commercial Installation Guide - Laminate PressXpress & DropXpress
Materials Required for Installation:
• Small hand saw • Jigsaw
• Pencil • Box cutter
• Measuring tape • Pull Bar
• Waterproof adhesive tape • Sanding block or sanding machine
• Spacers • Tapping Block
Acceptable Underlayments
IVC US’s Laminate products are a floating floor system and can be installed directly over virtually any hard surface. Soft
surfaces (such as wall-to wall carpet) must first be completely removed. We do not recommend installing over another
floating floor system.
Note: Do NOT nail or glue laminate product to subfloor.
• Concrete
Moisture levels of concrete slabs before, during and after installation must be 8 lbs. or less per 1000 square feet
per 24 hours using an anhydrous calcium chloride test according to ASTM F1869; or, if using ASTM F2170, the
max RH score is 85 per 1000 square feet (relative humidity).
• If using the CM Method, the humidity of the concrete should not exceed 2.5%
• Wood Subfloor
Wooden subfloors must be constructed according to local building codes, be structurally sound and deflection free.
• Repair any squeaky floor prior to installation.
• Sand or plane high spots.
• Fill all low spots with Portland cement based patching compound.
• It is not necessary to use a vapor retarder on top of a wooden subfloor.
• Wooden subfloors constructed over a crawl space must have adequate ventilation, 1.5 sq. ft. per 100 sq. ft. of
floor space.
• Basement walls and floors must be dry to prevent damage due to excessive water vapor emissions into the
wooden sub floor overhead.
• Radiant Heating
IVC US laminate floors can be used without difficulty in combination with water floor heating on condition that the
warm water lines are min. 1.2 inches (3 cm) underneath the surface and the contact temperature of the floor
doesn’t exceed 85°F (29°C) and the max warm water temperature is 122°F (50°C). Before installing the floor, you
should take these aspects into account:
• Before you start, switch off the radiant heating; the floor should not exceed a temperature of 64°F (18°C);
before, during and 24 hours after installation of the laminate.
• Install moisture barrier, underlayment and the laminate as described in the installation instructions. But first
check the suitability of the underlayment in combination with radiant heating.
• After the installation of the floor wait at least 24 hours before you switch on the radiant heating again. Avoid
excessive differences in temperature and turn your heating up or down step-by-step; (max. 41°F/day
(5°C/day).
The highest acceptable heat conductivity for any kind of floor covering is 0.15 K.m2/W. For electrical underfloor
heating a value of 60W/m2 must not be exceeded

IVC US Commercial Installation Guide –
Laminate PXP & DXP
Storage and Handling
Acclimate the flooring a minimum of 48 hours before installation in the area it is to be installed. Conditions between 65°F -
85°F (18°C - 29°C) and are required before, during and after installation. Relative indoor air humidity between 40% and
65% should be maintained. Leave the planks (packed) horizontally in the center of the room where you are going to install
the laminate floor.
Subfloor and Wall/Door Preparation
The surface beneath the floor must be sufficiently prepared in advance to guarantee a successful installation of the
flooring.
• Clean the subfloor and make sure it is smooth, flat, dry and sound. Remove any contaminates.
• Subfloor must be flat with a maximum 3/16 inch in a 3 foot span (4 mm in a 1 meter span)
• On concrete substrates, a moisture barrier is required. IVC US recommends installing Balterio ComfortSound
underlayment. ComfortSound is an all in one solution (underlayment + moisture barrier).
• If you choose to use a separate underlayment and/or moisture barrier (PVC foil) from another manufacturer, please note this
may void your warranty.
• Check the laminate planks for any defects.
• To measure the height of the doorframe, place a laminate plank with underlayment against the doorframe, with the
design side down; mark the height and saw off the door and doorframe to the height marked. The laminate plank can
then easily be pushed underneath the doorframe.
Inspection of flooring material prior to installation is required. Any defects should be immediately reported to the
retail store from which the flooring was purchased before installation. IVC US will not be responsible for labor costs to
repair or replace material with defects that were apparent before or noticed at the end of an installation.
NOTE: Do not install cabinets or walls on top of laminate floors.
How to Install ComfortSound Underlayment
• Lay out ComfortSound underlayment from wall to wall, ensuring it lays flat and smooth. (Place logo side up.)
• Allow ComfortSound underlayment sheets to rest up against one another. DO NOT overlap.
• Use Balterio Comfort ALU Tape (waterproof adhesive tape) to tape ComfortSound underlayment sheets together.
DO NOT overlap.
Start of Installation
It is the installer’s responsibility to inspect the flooring prior to installation to ensure that there are no visual defects. Do not
install flooring with visible defects. If visible defects are present, contact your retailer immediately.
• Floor must be clean, smooth, flat, sound and dry before installation.
• Check the laminate edges to assure it is free of debris or damage.
• To achieve maximum appearance, mix planks from two to three cartons from the same production.
NOTE: Never nail or glue the Laminate product to the floor. Do not install cabinets or walls on top of laminate floors.
The advantage of IVC US’s Laminate PressXpress or DropXpress locking system is that it allows you to choose your own
starting position. Moreover, you may work either from right to left or from left to right, whichever is best in your own
specific situation. Depending on the direction in which you work you are advised to begin from either a door or a corner. It
is advisable to begin with the tongue side of the plank turned towards the wall. For plank designs, measure the width of
the room and divide by the width of one plank. If the remainder is 2 ½” or less, cut down the width of the first row to allow
the last row to be more than 2 ½” wide.
Walls are not always straight. Snap a chalk line for your first row to follow.
See next page for step by step instructions.

IVC US Laminate Care & Maintenance Guide -
Commercial
IVC US Laminate Care & Maintenance Guide – Commercial
Your IVC US Laminate flooring will provide years of carefree use. You will find that it is not only beautiful, but durable. It is
also easy to clean and maintain! It only takes a few simple care and maintenance steps to keep your IVC floor looking
beautiful for years to come.
To help protect and keep your floor clean, following these proper care and maintenance guidelines:
Preventative Measures:
•Avoid contact with dirt, sand, grit and substances such as oil or asphalt by placing carpets or vinyl-back
doormats at the front- and backdoor.
•Use floor protectors and furniture legs/wheels with a large ground surface to limit the impact of heavy objects.
•Maintain a relative indoor air humidity of between 40% and 65% all year round, in order to limit natural expansion
and contraction of the wood.
•If you have chairs with wheels, make sure they are made of soft rubber.
•Do not use vacuum cleaners with a rotating beater bar
•Do NOT use a steam mop.
Cleaning and Maintenance:
The First Time:
•Remove all dirt and dust with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner with a soft parquet brush.
•Clean the floor with a dry dust cloth.
•Replace the dust cloth and clean again.
•Remove any remaining dirt with a laminate cleaner.
•Replace the dust cloth with a slightly damp cloth and clean again.
•If necessary, repeat the slightly damp cleaning process.
Daily Use: Dry Cleaning
•Use a vacuum cleaner with a soft parquet brush or dry electrostatic dust cloths that attract dirt, dust and hair like
a magnet.
•Work the floor cleaner lengthways along the panels, in an overlapping zigzag motion and with long strokes
across the floor.
Intensive Use: Slightly Damp Cleaning
•Wet cleaning is not recommended, because it can cause lasting damage to your floor.
•Clean your laminate flooring with a well wrung out cloth instead.
•Work the cloth lengthways along the panels, in a fluent zigzag motion across the floor, without applying pressure.
•Dry the surface thoroughly with a clean cloth and remove any puddles immediately.
Always read the cautionary information on all cleaners prior to use.
IMPORTANT: Never push, pull or drag furniture, appliances or other items across the floor. When moving furniture or
heavy items, always lift and carry the items. Place hardboards between the flooring and object to move.

IVC US Laminate Care & Maintenance Guide -

How to Treat Stains, Spills & Scuffs
Follow the remedies in order. Unless instructed otherwise, use a clean, white cloth or towel with products recommended
for IVC US Laminate flooring. Always rinse the affected area with clean water after treatment.
Rubber marks, scrapes or scuffs from shoe heels, dirt from the street, pencil or crayon marks:
Use a dust cloth.
Fruit, berries, milk, beer, wine, tea, soft drinks:
Wipe off immediately with an absorbent cloth - or with a damp cloth if it has already dried in - and rub dry.
Blood, urine:
Remove immediately with a damp cloth and wipe off any remaining dirt with a suitable laminate cleaner.
Nail polish, shoe polish, varnish, ink, makeup, felt pen:
Remove with a drop of acetone on a clean cloth which you should apply on the stain only. Follow the safety instructions
that come with the product used. Do not use greasy chemical cleaners such as white spirit.
Chocolate, fat, oil:
Remove with a suitable laminate cleaner.
Greasy stains:
May occur after cleaning as certain cleaning products can leave an oily residue (film) on the floor. We recommend to mix
1/2 tablespoon of lemon juice or plain vinegar in a bucket of clean water (1.3 gallons to 2.6 gallons) and mop the laminate
with a well-wrung cloth (see instructions for intensive use). In case of a persistent residue, this will have to be repeated
several times.
CAUTION!
Isopropyl alcohol, lighter fluid, odorless mineral spirits and paint thinner are flammable solvents. Carefully read and follow
cautionary information on their respective labels. Keep traffic off treated area for 30 minutes.
