Warranty
IVT tools are intended only for do-it-yourself activities. We
guarantee that IVT tools are in accordance with statutory/
country-specic regulations (proof of purchase by invoice or
delivery note). The warranty is not valid for consumables and
accessories which partly belong to the scope of supplies.
The warranty cannot be invoked in the following cases:
1. normal wear of mechanisms and components which have a
limited life;
2. maintenance and replacement of hardware parts that wears
quickly (carbon brushes, cutting tools, gearwheels);
3. overloads or loads which are too extensive and may lead
to: simultaneous failure of one or more hardware parts which•
are functionally connected with the system;
burning, charring, melting due to excessive internal•
temperatures of the hardware (heating elements, switches,
wiring, housings);
4. mechanical damage or presence of foreign objects in the
tool;
5. commercial use;
6. use of purposes not mentioned in this instruction manual;
7. dismantling and repair work not carried out by IVT
specialist.
8. defects in the tool caused by improper use, inappropriate
operatingor maintenance procedures,anyuse not inaccordance
with the printed material provided, abnormal environmental or
electric conditions.
Gewährleistung
Die IVT Geräte sind nur für das Haushaltarbeit vorbestimmt.
Benutzer muss die Bedienungsanleitung für die Geräte der
Firma. IVT ist eine Gewährleistung entsprechend den Gesetzen
und spezischen Besonderheiten jedes Landes vorgesehen (die
Faktura oder der Abgabeschein gilt als einen Beweis des Kaufs).
Diese Gewährleistung ist nicht für Verbrauchsmaterialien und
Zubehör geeignet, die teilweise in den Lieferumfang enthalten
sind.
Garantie gilt nicht bei den nächsten Fällen:
1. bei dem Langzeitverschleiß der Mechanismen und Bauteile,
die begrenzte Leistungsfähigkeitsperiode haben;
2. bei der Vorbeugung und dem Einsatz der Verschleißteile
(Kohlebürsten, Zahnräder);
3. bei der Überlastung und der intensiven Ausnutzung, deren
Folgen sind:
gleichzeitiges Versagen von einem oder mehreren•
funktionell verbundenen Bauteilen oder Baugruppen
Verbrennen, Verkohlung, Nachschmelzen unter der hohen•
Temperatur der Bauteile (Heizkörper, Schalter, Leitungsdraht,
Gehäuse);
4. wenn mechanische Fehler, Fremdkörpern gefunden sind;
5. wenn das Werkzeug mit dem Produktions- und Industieziel
ausgenutzt worden ist;
6. wenn das Werkzeug mit dem nicht von dieser
Gebrauchsanweisung geeignetem Ziel ausgenutzt worden ist;
7. wenn das Werkzeug nicht von den Fachleute von IVT
geönet, repariert worden ist.
8. bei der Beschädigungen des Gerätes nach
dem unsachgemäßen Gebrauch, Bedienungs- und
Betriebsordnungübertretung, bei der Nichtbefolgung
der Vorschriften, bei dem Gebrauch im abnormelen
Umweltbedienungen oder Elektrischebedienungen.

бытовых работ. Мы гарантируем, что инструменты
компании IVT соответствуют установленным в каждой
конкретной стране нормам (доказательством совершения
покупки является счет-фактура или накладная) Гарантия
не распространяется на расходные материалы и
дополнительные приспособления, входящие в объем
поставки.
Гарантия не действует в следующих случаях:
1. Обычный износ быстро изнашиваемых механизмов и
деталей;
2. Текущий ремонт и замена быстро изнашиваемых
изделий (угольные щетки, режущие детали, шестерни);
3. Перегрузка или избыточная нагрузка, ведущие к:
одновременному выходу из строя одной или нескольких•
деталей, функционально связанных с системой;
возгоранию, обугливанию, оплавлению изделий•
(нагревательные элементы, выключатели, проводка,
розетки) вследствие высоких внутренних температур;
4. Механическое повреждение, присутствие посторонних
предметов в инструменте;
5. Коммерческое использование;
6. Использование для целей, не предусмотренных
настоящей инструкцией по эксплуатации;
7. Разборка и ремонт, выполненные не специалистами IVT.
8. Повреждения инструмента в результате ненадлежащего
использования, нарушения порядка эксплуатации или
обслуживания, несоблюдения письменных указаний,
эксплуатации в аномальных условиях окружающей среды
или электрических условиях.

Gwarancja
Narzędzia IVT są przeznaczone tylko do użytku prywatnego.
Dla instrumentu IVT jest przewidziana gwarancja odpowiednio
do praw i specycznych właściwości każdego kraju (dowodem
spełnienia kupna jest faktura albo fracht). Gwarancja nie
rozpowszechnia się na dodatkowe materiały i narzędzia, które
częściowo wchodzą do dostarczonego kompletu.
Gwarancja nie działa w następnych wypadkach:
1. Naturalnego zniszczenia mechanizmów i węzłów, które
mają ograniczony okres przydatności do pracy;
2. Prolaktyki i zamiany szybko zniszczalnych detali (szczotki
węglowe, koła zębate);
3. Przeładunku lub wykorzystania w trybie intensywnym,
skutkiem których jest:
jednoczesne złamanie jednego lub więcej funkcjonalnie•
związanych detali oraz węzłow;
spalanie się, zwęglanie, topienie się pod wpływem•
wysokiej temperatury wewnętrznej detali (elementy
grzejne, przyciski, druty, korpusy);
4. Mechanicznych obrażeń, zaistnienia w środku przedmiotów
obcych;
5. Wykorzystania w celach wytwórczych lub przemysłowych;
6. Wykorzystania w celach, nie przewidzianych przez niniejszą
instrukcję;
7. Otwarcia, remontu, który był zrobiony nie fachowcem IVT.
8. Uszkodzenia instrumentu wskutek użycia w sposób
niewłaściwy, naruszenia sposobu eksploatacji albo obsługi,
nieprzestrzegania wskazań pisemnych, eksploatacji w
anomalnych warunkach środowiska przyrodniczego albo
warunkach elektrycznych.

Інструменты IVT прызначаныя толькі для выканання бытавых
работ. Для iнструменты IVT прадугледжана гарантыя ў
адпаведнасціззаконамііспецыфічныміасаблівасцямікожнай
краіны (доказам здзяйснення пакупкі з’яўляецца рахунак-
фактура або накладная). Гарантыя не распаўсюджваецца
на расходныя матэрыялы і прыналежнасці, якія часткова
ўваходзяць у камплект пастаўкі.
Гарантыя не дзейнічае ў наступных выпадках:
1. натуральнага зносу механізмаў і вузлоў, якія маюць
абмежаваны перыяд працаздольнасці;
2. прафілактыкі і замены быстразношваючыхся дэталяў
(вугальныя шчоткі, шасцярня);
3. перагрузкі або інтэнсіўнага выкарыстання, вынікам якіх
з’яўляюцца:
адначасовы выхад са строю аднаго або больш•
функцыянальна звязаных дэталяў і вузлоў;
згарання, асмальвання, аплаўлення пад уздзеяннем•
высокай унутранай тэмпературы дэталяў (награвальныя
элементы, кнопкі, правады, корпусы);
4. механічных пашкоджанняў, наяўнасці ўнутры
іншародных прадметаў;
5. выкарыстання ў вытворчых або прамысловых мэтах;
6. выкарыстання ў мэтах, не прадугледжаных дадзенай
інструкцыяй;
7. раскрыцця, рамонту, які быў зроблены не спецыялістамі
IVT
8. Пашкоджанні інструмента ў выніку неналежнага
выкарыстання, парушэнні парадку эксплуатацыі або
абслугоўвання, невыканання пісьмовых указанняў,
эксплуатацыі ў анамальных умовах навакольнага асяроддзя
або электрычных умовах.
Гарантія
Інструменти IVT призначені тільки для виконання побутових
робіт. Для електроінструмента IVT передбачена гарантія
відповідно до законів і специфічні особливості кожної
країни. Підтвердженням є гарантійний талон!
Гарантія не поширюється на витратні матеріали та приладдя,
які частково входять в комплект поставки.
Гарантійне обслуговування не здійснюється у випадках:
1. Природного зносу механізмів та вузлів, що мають
обмежений період працездатності;
2. Профілактики і заміни швидкозношуваних деталей
(вугільні щітки, шестірні);
3. Перевантаження або інтенсивного використання,
наслідком яких є:
одночасний вихід з ладу одного або більше•
функціонально пов’язаних деталей і вузлів;
згоряння, обвуглювання, розплавлення під впливом•
високої внутрішньої температури деталей (нагрівальні
елементи, кнопки, проводи, корпуси);
4. механічних пошкоджень, наявності всередині сторонніх
предметів;
5. використання у виробничих або промислових цілях;
6. використання в цілях, не передбачених цією
інструкцією;
7. розтину, ремонту, який був зроблений не фахівцями IVT.
8. Пошкодження інструменту в результаті неналежного
використання, порушення порядку експлуатації або
обслуговування, недотримання письмових вказівок,
експлуатації в аномальних умовах навколишнього
середовища або електричних умовах.
Garanzia
Gli strumenti IVT sono progettati per il solo utilizzo hobbistico
e per il fai-da-te. Il team IVT garantisce che i nostri prodotti
sono conformi ai regolamenti specici per i Paesi in cui sono
commercializzati (a prova dell’acquisto è necessaria la fattura
o la bolla di consegna). La garanzia non è valida per i beni di
consumo che fanno parte del campo degli accessori.
La garanzia non può essere rivendicata nei seguenti casi:
1. normale usura dei meccanismi e degli assemblaggi, che
hanno una vita limitata;
2. per la manutenzione o la sostituzione di parti di consumo
(spazzole al carbonio, utensili da taglio, ruote dentate);
3. picchi di tensione che possono indurre a:
simultanea rottura di una o più parti dei componenti•
collegati con il sistema;
carbonizzazione, fusione a causa di eccessive temperature•
interne al motore (elementi termici, interruttori, cavi, custodie);
4. danni meccanici dovuti alla presenza di oggetti estranei
inseriti nell’apparecchio;
5. uso commerciale;
6. usi e scopi non menzionati in questo manuale di istruzioni;
7. disassemblaggio e lavori di riparazione non eettuati dal
servizio assistenza IVT.
8. difetti allo strumento riconducibili a un uso improprio,
inosservanza delle istruzioni operative o di manutenzione,
qualsiasi impiego non conforme con il materiale stampato
fornito o un utilizzo in anomale condizioni elettriche o
ambientali.

Záruka
IVT nástroje sú určené len pre domáce použitie. Zaručujeme,
že nástroje spoločnosti IVT vyhovujú určitým v každej krajine
štandardom (dokladom o kúpe je faktúra alebo dodací list).
Táto záruka sa nevzťahuje na spotrebný materiál a dodatočné
príslušenstvo, ktoré je súčasťou dodávky.
Záruka sa nevzťahuje v týchto prípadoch:
1. Bežné opotrebenie rýchlo opotrebených mechanizmov a
detailov;
2. Bežné opravy a výmeny rýchlo opotrebených výrobkov
(uhlíky, ostré časti, prevodovky);
3. Preťaženie alebo nadmerné zaťaženie, čo vedie k:
súčasnému zlyhaniu jedného alebo viacerých častí, ktoré sú•
funkčne spojené so systémom;
zapaľovaniu, ohraňovaniu, topeniu výrobkov (vykurovacie•
telesá, spínače, elektrická inštalácia, zásuvky) v dôsledku
vysokých vnútorných teplôt;
4. Mechanické poškodenie, prítomnosť cudzích predmetov v
nástroji;
5. Komerčné použitie;
6. Použitie na iné účely, než ktoré sú popísané v tomto návode
na prevádzku;
7. Demontáž a oprava vykonané nie odborníkmi IVT.
8. Poškodenie nástroja v dôsledku nesprávneho používania,
porušenie poriadku prevádzky a údržby, nedodržanie
písomných pokynov, prevádzka za abnormálnych podmienok
životného prostredia alebo elektrickej podmienky.
Garanţia
Instrumente de IVT sunt destinate numai pentru uz rezidential.
Vă garantăm că instrumentele companiei IVT corespund
standardelor ecărei ţări (drept dovadă de procurare serveşte
factura sau foaia de însoţire). Garanţia nu se aplică pentru
materialele consumabile şi dispozitivele suplimentare incluse în
volumul de livrare.
Garanţia nu se aplică în următoarele cazuri:
1. Uzura obişnuită a mecanismelor şi pieselor rapid uzurabile;
2. Reparaţia curentă şi schimbarea pieselor rapid uzurabile
(perii de carbon, piese de tăiere sau roţi zimţate);
3. Supraîncărcarea sau încărcarea excesivă, care conduc la:
defectarea simultană a unei sau a mai multor piese care•
funcţional sunt legate de sistem;
incendierea, carbonizarea, topirea produselor (elemente•
de încălzire, întrerupătoare, cablu, prize) ca rezultat al
temperaturilor interne ridicate;
4. Defecţiuni mecanice, prezenţa obiectelor străine în
instrument;
5. Utilizarea comercială;
6. Utilizarea în alte scopuri decât cele descrise în acest manual
de exploatare;
7. Dezasamblarea şi reparaţia efectuate de alţi specialişti decât
cei ai companiei IVT.
8. Deteriorarea instrumentului, ca urmare a abuzului, încălcare
a ordinii de funcţionare, întreţinere sau, non-instrucţiuni scrise,
care funcţionează în condiţii anormale, de mediu sau condiţiile
de funcţionare electrice.

IVT nástroje jsou určeny pouze pro domácí použití. Zaručujeme,
že nástroje společnosti IVT souhlasí stanoveným v každé
konkrétní zemi normám (kontrola a nákup se provádí na základě
faktury a výdejky). Záruka se nevztahuje na spotřební materiál a
přídavné příslušenství které jsou součástí dodávky.
Záruční podmínky neplatí v následujících případech:

požáru, spékání, tavení díky vysoké vnitřní teplotě výrobků•
(topná tělesa, spínače, kabeláž, zásuvky);
mechanické poškození, přítomnost cizích předmětů uvnitř4.

Komerční využití;5. Použití pro účely neuvedené v tomto návodu k použití;6. Rozebírání a opravy, provedené ne odborníky IVT.7. Poruchy nástroje v důsledku neodpovídajícího využívání,8.
narušení provozu, nebo služby, nedodržení písemných předpisů,
provozu v anomálních podmínkách okolního prostředí, nebo
elektrických podmínkách.

Инструментите ITV са предназначени само за работи,
свързани с бита. Ние гарантираме, че инструменти на фирма
IVT отговарят на установените във всяка конкретна страна
норми (проверката и закупуването стават на основание на
фактура и на товарителница).
Гаранцията не се отнася за разходните материали и
допълнителните приспособления, включени в обема на
доставката.
Условията на гаранцията не се прилагат в следните случаи:
1. Нормално износване на бързо износващи се механизми
и детайли;
2. Текущ ремонт и подмяна на бързо износващи се
елементи (въглени четки, режещи части, зъбчати колела);
3. Претоварване или прекомерно натоварване, които
водят до:

Safety regulation for the use
General safety rules
The following listed safety instructions should serve you for the
right use of the tool and for the protection of your own safety,
therefore, please read this very carefully.
When passing this tool to a third person, these instructions must
be handed too.
Retain this user manual and all other literature supplied with
your tool for any future reference.
Comply with all the safety information and the warnings on the
tool.
Be familiar with the controls and the proper use of the tool
before attempting to use it and above all, make sure you know
how to stop to use it in case of emergency.
Following these simple instructions will also maintain your tool
in good working order.
The tool must be assembled correctly before use.•
Only use the tool for its designed purposes.•
On the tool, there may be also decals and further indications•
about the safety equipment to use that must be considered.
The prevention of accidents is dependent upon the awareness,
common sense and proper training of everyone involved in the
operation, transport, maintenance and storage of the tool.
Never leave the tool unattended.•
Never allow children to use the tool. Children should be•
supervised to ensure that they do not play with the tool.
Keep children and pets away. All onlookers should be kept•
at a safe distance away from the tool when it is in use.
The user is responsible for third parties while working with•
the tool.

minimum age for using this tool and people under the inuence

Local regulations may restrict the age of the operator.
WARNING
The consumption of alcohol, medication and drugs, plus
states of illness, fever and fatigue will aect your ability to
react. Do not use this tool in any of these situations.
Make sure that all the protective devices (if present) are•
tted and are in good condition.
Never operate the tool with defective safety devices or•
guards (if present), or without safety devices in place.
Inspect the entire tool to look for loose parts (e.g. nuts, bolts,•
screws, etc.) and for any damage. Check at frequent intervals if
screws and bolts (if present) are properly tight to be sure the
equipment is in safe working condition. Repair or replace them,
if necessary, before using the tool. Serious injury to the operator
and to the bystanders could result if there’s any damage to the
tool.
While using the tool, dress properly. Do not wear loose•
clothing or jewellery that could become caught by the tool.
Wear suitable working clothes. It is recommended that legs and
feet are covered, to protect them from eventual ying debris.
Do not work barefoot or wearing open sandals. Long air should
be tided back.
Keep handles and grips dry, clean and free from oil and•
grease.
Use proper protective equipment. Use safety glasses•
and safety gloves. Also use a dust mask during pulverulent
operations or if exhaust gases are present. When necessary, use

WARNING
Use personal protective equipment! Safety devices and
personal protective equipment protect your own health and
the health of others and ensure a trouble-free operation of
the tool.
Do not start to use the tool if it is in an inverted position or it•
is not in the right working order.
Ensure that you have a good stand, while you operate with•
the tool. Keep proper footing and balance at all times.
Keep work area clean. Cluttered areas invite injuries. Before•
use, all foreign bodies must be removed from the working area,
also pay attention to foreign objects during the operation.
Do not force the tool.•
Only work in daylight or suciently good articial light.•
Never operate the tool without good visibility.
Be careful not to drop the tool or hit it against obstacles.•

Electrical safety rules
ATTENTION
When using electrical tools, the following safety instructions
should be observed to prevent the risk of electric shock,
personal injury and re. Read and observe these instructions
carefully before using the tool.
It is recommended for increased electrical safety to use•
a Residual Current Device (RCD) with a tripping current of not
more than 30 mA. Always check your RCD every time you use it.
Consult a reliable electrician.
WARNING
The use of an RCD or other circuit breaker unit does not
release the operator from the safety instructions and safe
working practices given in this manual.
The main voltage must correspond to the one marked•
on the labels and on this manual. Do not use other sources of
power.
Before inserting the plug in the main socket, make sure that•
the socket ratings are correct and correspond to those indicated
on the rating label on the appliance.
Avoid body contact with grounded surfaces such as pipes,•
radiators, ranges and refrigerators. This increases risk of electric
shock if your body is grounded.
CAUTION
Touching electried parts may cause death by electric shock
or burn.
Never move the appliance by pulling at the cables.•
Do not abuse the cord. Keep it away from heat, oil, sharp•
edges or moving parts.
Always guide the connection line safely.•
Do not use power tools near ammable liquids or gases.•
Always disconnect the appliance from the mains supply•
before transporting it to other places.
CAUTION
The appliance should always be switched o at the mains
before disconnecting any plug and socket connector or
extension cables.
Never pass the appliance over the extension cable while the•
tool is working. Make sure you always know where the cable is.
Do not wire an extension cable directly into your device•
yourself. Instead, take the device to your nearest authorized
Service Centre.
To avoid danger, damaged power cord should be replaced•
by manufacturer or its agent, or similar qualied person.
Immediately unplug the tool when its cable is damaged or•
cut.
ATTENTION
DANGER OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! Consider working area
environment. Do not expose power tools to rain. Do not use
power tools in damp or wet locations. Keep work area well lit
and dry. Try to prevent the device from getting wet or being
exposed to humidity. Do not leave it outside overnight. Water
entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
The power supply cable should be checked regularly and,•
before using it, make sure the cable is not damaged or worn out.
If the cable is not in good condition, do not use the appliance;
take it to an authorized service centre.
When tool is used outdoor, only use an extension cable that•
is suitable for outdoor use and which is marked for this specic
use. Keep it away from the working area, from damp, wet or oily
surfaces and away from heat and ammable materials.
Avoid any accidental starting: make sure that the power•
switch (if present) is in the o position, before plugging the
tool in.
Remove adjusting keys or wrenches before turning the tool•
on.
Do not use the tool if the switch does not turn the tool on•
or o. Any tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is
dangerous and must be repaired.
WARNING
During the use of power tools, some dust containing chemicals
known to cause cancer, may occur. Some of these chemicals are:
lead from lead based paints, crystalline silica from bricks and
cement and other masonry products, arsenic and chromium
fromchemically treated lumber and other dangerous products. If
dust is present, your risk from these exposures varies, depending
on how often you do this type of work.To reduce your exposure
to these chemicals, any time you do pulverulent operations,
work in a well ventilated area and work with approved safety
equipment, such as dust masks that are specially designed to
lter out microscopic particles.

If the appliance strikes a foreign body, examine the device•
for signs of damage and carry out any necessary repairs before
restarting and continuing to work.
If the appliance starts to vibrate abnormally, turn it o•
and check for the cause immediately. Vibration is generally a
warning of trouble.
Always switch o the appliance and wait until the device•
completely stops whenever you leave the machine, before
carrying out maintenance, before checking, cleaning or working
on the appliance.
It is forbidden to move or modify any of the internal parts•
of the device.
Specic safety rules
WARNING
Using the device produces dust, heat and vibrations. Use
personal protective equipment to protect your health!
Inhalation or contact with some types of wood, metal or•
paintdust is harmfulto health. Alwaysndout about the material
you are working on and adopt the necessary precautions.
Always wear eye protection. The tool can throw foreign•
objects or dust into your eyes and cause permanent eye
damage. Always wear safety goggles.
Always use an appropriate dust mask when sanding.•
Always use hearing protection when sanding, particularly•
during extended periods of operation.
WARNING
To avoid injury from accidental starting, always remove the
plug from the power source before installing or removing
sandpaper or the dust box assembly. Any maintenance must
be performed safely in order to prevent accidents caused by
an unexpected start.
Do not use accessories for works other than those for which•
the device is designed!
Collect the dust produced using the dust box assembly or•
by connecting the device to a suitable dust extractor.
The dust produced may be very ammable, such as that•
produced by wood, light metals, paints, etc. Risk of re! Regularly
remove the dust produced from the work area.
Sanding metal surfaces can produce sparks. Risk of re! Keep•
ammable parts at a distance and empty the dust produced
regularly. Use a suitable dust extractor.
Large variations in temperature can lead to condensation•
on live part. Before use, give the machine time to adjust to the
temperature of the work area.
WARNING
If any part is missing or damaged, do not plug the device
into the power source until the missing or damaged part is
replaced.
Secure the workpiece. Use clamps or a vise to hold the•
workpiece. It is safer than using your hand and it frees both
hands to operate the tool.
Do not sand material too small to be securely held.•
Make sure there are no nails or foreign objects in the part of•
the workpiece to be sanded.
Sanding must only be carried out on dry surfaces.The use of•
water or other liquids could lead to electrocution.
Never use the machine for sanding magnesium•
workpieces.
Do not sand materials containing asbestos!•
Working on the ceiling with the tool upwards can be more•
dangerous for the operator. Make sure that you are in a stable
position on the ladder or the trestle. Use a protection helmet in
case any material falls down. Wear eye protection goggles.
Hold the device rmly by its handle grip. Loss of control•
can cause injuries. The strains caused by working lead to stress
which must be contrasted with your force.
WARNING
Always turn on the tool before setting it against the piece you
are working on.
When sanding, avoid applying excessive pressure on the•
device, as otherwise it may be forced to a stop.
If the electrical tool stops during use, switch it o•
immediately. Do not force dicult operations for the tool.
Do not overheat the electrical tool or the sanding surface.•
Risk of re! Apply light pressure and empty the dust box
regularly.
Always keep hands out of the path of the sanding pad.•
Avoid awkward hand positions where a sudden slip could cause
your hand to move into the path of the sanding pad.
It is not recommended that this tool be used for extended•
work on any berglass material, wallboard, spackling
compounds or plaster. The chips and grindings from these
materials are highly abrasive to electric tool parts such as
bearings, brushes, commutators, etc. During any use on these
materials it is extremely important that the tool is cleaned
frequently by blowing it out with an air jet.
Never carry a plugged-in sander with your nger on the on/•
o switch.
Wait for the electrical tool to stop completely before putting•
it down.
Additional safety rules for paint removal
WARNING
Always take extreme care when removing paint! Dust and
vapors from paint may contain lead, which is poisonous.
Lead-based paint should only be removed by a professional.
Since it is dicult to identify whether or not a paint contains
lead without a chemical analysis, we recommend the following
precautions when sanding any paint:
Keep the work area well ventilated.•
Remove or perfectly cover any carpets, furniture, clothing•
and air ducts. Keep food and drink out of the work area.
Wear protective clothing such as extra work shirts, overalls•
and hats. Wash work clothes separately. Wipe shoes o with a

wet rag, that is then washed.
A special dust mask or respirator should be worn by all•
people entering the work area. Be sure the mask ts. Change
lters often. Disposable paper masks are not adequate.
Children, pregnant or potentially pregnant women and•
nursing mothers should not be present in the work area until
the work is done and all cleanup is complete.
No eating, drinking, gum chewing or smoking should be•
done in the work area to prevent ingesting contaminated paint
particles. Workers should wash and clean up before eating,
drinking or smoking.
Clean up all removed paint and dust by wet mopping the•
oors. Use a wet cloth to clean all walls, sills and any other
surfaces where paint or dust is clinging.
At the end of each work session dispose of the paint chips•
properly.
Unpacking
When unpacking, check to make sure that all components are
included. Refer to the drawings on this manual. If any parts are
missing or broken, please call IVT assistance center.
Dust extraction
Dust extraction prevents large accumulations of
dust, high concentrations of dust in the ambient
air, and facilitates disposal.
It is necessary to connect the dust box assembly (6) to the
device, to collect the dust.
Installing the dust box assembly (6)
WARNING
Always unplug the device from the power source before
installing, cleaning or removing the dust box assembly (6).
Insert the dust box assembly (6) into the dust extraction1.
connection (5). [F1]
NOTE: Make sure the tabs of the dust box assembly (6) insert
into the matching slots in the dust extraction connection (5).
Rotate the dust box assembly (6) clockwise approximately2.
15° to lock it into place.
Removing and cleaning the dust box assembly (6)
The dust box assembly (6) should be removed periodically and
emptied to prevent excessive dust build up and to maintain its
eectiveness.
Remove the dust box assembly (6) from the dust extraction1.
connection (5) by rotating it counter clockwise approximately
15° and pulling it out of the dust extraction connection (5).
Carefully shake the dust box assembly (6) with the2.
opening pointing downward to remove the sanding dust.
NOTE: It is best to perform this function outdoors over a trash
can to prevent sanding dust from escaping into the work
area.
Once the sanding dust is removed from the dust box3.
assembly (6), reinstall the dust box assembly (6).
Fitting sandpaper sheets
Sandpaper selection
Selecting the correct grit and type of sandpaper is extremely
important in achieving a high quality sanded nish.
Aluminum oxide, silicon carbide and other synthetic abrasives
are best for power sanding. Natural abrasives such as int
and garnet are too soft for economical use in power sanding.
In general, coarse grit will remove the most material and ner
grit will produce the best nish in all sanding operations.
If the surface to be sanded is rough, start with a coarse grit and
sand until the surface is uniform. Medium grit may then be used
to remove scratches left by the coarser grit. Fine grit should be
used for nishing the surface.
Always continue sanding with each grit until the surface is
uniform.
Installing sandpaper sheets
WARNING
Use only sandpaper that is recommended for this device.
The use of improper accessories may result in injury to the
operator or damage to the tool.
WARNING
Always unplug the device from the power source before
installing or changing sandpaper.
Lift up and outward on the front and rear sandpaper clamp1.

NOTE: Make sure the sandpaper is pulled tight over the

ATTENTION
For a proper functioning of the dust extraction system, dust
extractor holes on sandpaper sheet and sanding pad (2) must
correspond.

Punching holes in sandpaper
The sandpaper must have 8 holes punched in it to allow the
sanding dust to escape from the working surface.
The pattern of these holes must match the hole pattern on the
sanding pad (2). Refer to the picture in [F4] for dimension and
location of the holes in sandpaper.
Initial operation
Always use the correct supply voltage: the power supply voltage
must match the information quoted on the tool identication
plate.
Switching On/O
WARNING
The device should only be turned on when the entire surface
of the sanding pad (2) is in contact with the workpiece.
Failure to follow this sanding procedure could result in loose
sandpaper which could result in possible injury.

Operating instructions
WARNING
Verify the following every time the device is used: sandpaper
is in good condition and properly installed; the workpiece is
properly secured and free from any foreign objects; personal
protective equipment is adopted.
Clamp or otherwise secure your workpiece to prevent it1.
from moving under the device while being sanded.
Place the device on the workpiece so that the complete2.
sandpaper surface is in contact with the workpiece.
NOTE: Hold the device using the handle grip on top of the
device. Be careful NOT to cover the ventilation slots with your
hand, because it could cause the motor to be damaged by
overheating.
Turn the palm sander on.3.
Move the palm sander slowly over the workpiece4.
making successive passes in parallel lines, circles or crosswise
movements.
Upon completion of the sanding operation, turn the5.
palm sander o and wait until the sanding pad (2) comes to a
complete stop before removing it from the workpiece.
ATTENTION
Do not force the device!
The weight of the palm sander usually provides adequate•
pressure. Let the device and sandpaper do the work. Applying
added pressure will slow the motor, increase the wear on the
sandpaper and greatly reducethe tool speed. Excessive pressure
will overload the motor causing overheating. It will also create
an inferior nish on sanded work. Any nish or resin on wood
will soften from the frictional heat, causing sandpaper to
become clogged quickly.
Do not sand in one spot too long as the palm sander’s rapid•
action may remove too much material, making the surface
uneven.
Extended periods of sanding may tend to overheat the•
motor. If this occurs, turn the palm sander o, wait until the
sanding pad (2) comes to a complete stop and remove it
from the workpiece. Check to make sure your hand has not
been covering the ventilation slots. Let the motor cool before
continuing the sanding operation.
Maintenance and storage
CAUTION
Before any work on the machine itself, pull the mains plug.
Always keep the tool and the ventilation slots (if present)•
cleaned. Regular cleaning and maintenance of the appliance
will ensure eciency and prolong the life of your tool.
If the tool should fail despite the rigorous manufacturing•
and testing procedures, the repair should be carried out by an
authorized IVT customer service.
Keep all nuts, bolts, and screws tight, to be sure the tool is in•
safe working condition.
Replace worn or damaged parts for safety.•
Use only original spare parts. Parts not produced by•
manufacturer may cause poor t and possible injury.
Store the tool in a dry room out of reach of kids and away•
from any ammable material.
Never wet the device or spray water on it!•
WARNING

Allgemeine Sicherheitsregeln
Folgende Weisungen der Unfallverhütungstechnik werden
Benutzer richtig das Gerät anwenden helfen und ihre eigene
Sicherheit gewährleisten. Deshalb ist es notwendig, sie
aufmerksam zu lesen. Im Fall der Übergabe des Geräts für
Drittperson soll man die gegenwärtigen Anweisungen über die
Unfallverhütungstechnik übergebe.
Erhalten Sie eine gegebene Anweisung und andere Literatur, die
im Satz der Lieferung eingeht.
Folgen Sie Unfallverhütungstechnik und Mahnungen auf dem

Fußsohlen vor dem auseinanderiegenden Müll. Arbeiten Sie
barfuß oder in geonete Sandalien nicht. Sammeln Sie das
lange Haar hinten.
Enthalten Sie die Grie in der Sauberkeit und Trockenheit.•
Benutzen Sie die entsprechenden Schutzvorrichtungen.•
Benutzen Sie die Schutzbrille und Schutzhandschuhe. Bei der
Arbeit mit den Pulvern oder bei den Abgaseausstößen benutzen
Sie die Atemschutzmaske. Notwendigerweise ziehen Sie nicht
glitschige Schuhe, den Helm und die Ohrenstöpseln an. Wenn
das Niveau des Lärms 85 dB (A) übertritt, verwenden Sie die
Schutzkopfhörer unbedingt.
ACHTUNG
Verwenden Sie die Arbeitsschutzmittel! Schutzvorrichtungen
und individuelle Schutzmittel gewährleisten Schutz Ihrer Ge-
sundheit und Gesundheit der Leute, die nahe, ebensogut wie
störungsfreier Arbeit des Gerätes legen, werden garantiert.
Fangen Sie das Gerät nicht an, wenn es nach oben gerichtet•
ist oder es in nicht Betriebsbedingung ist.

Elektirsche Sicherheitsregeln
ACHTUNG
Mit dem Ziel der Verhinderung des Schlages durch
elektrischen Strom, Verursachen des persönlichen Schadens
oder bei dem Gebrauch von Electrowerkzeuge ist es nötig
nächste Vorschriften über Sicherheitsregeln zu beachten. Vor
dem Werkzeuggebrauch lesen Sie und beachten Sie genau

nicht.
Netzanstrengung soll dem auf dem Schild oder dem•

anderen Stromversorgungseinrichtungen nicht.
Vor Verbindung des Geräts zum Netzwerk überzeugen•
Sie sich, dass die Fassung auf dem Einfallt eller angegebene
Gegebenheiten entspricht.
Vermeiden Sie den Kontakt mit den geerdeten Oberächen•
(Rohre, Heizkörper, Batterien und Kühlapparaten). Bei der

Beschädigungen und der Merkmale des Verschleißes.
Verwenden Sie das Gerät mit dem beschädigten Kabel nicht;
wenden Sie sich an das ozielle Service-Zentrum.
Bei der Arbeit außerhalb des Raums verwenden Sie nur•
die dazu vorbestimmten Verlängerungsleitungen mit der
entsprechenden Markierung. Vermeiden Sie das Treen des
Kabels unter das Gerät, bewahren Sie es von der Feuchtigkeit,
Einwirkung der Wärme, vermeiden Sie den Kontakt mit den

Vermeiden Sie den zufälligen Start des Gerätes: vor dem•

Vor dem Einschluss des Gerätes ziehen Sie die Einstelkeile•
und die Schlüssel heraus.
Verwenden Sie das Gerät mit dem gestörten Schalter nicht.•
Das Gerät mit dem fehlerhaften Schalter stellt die Gefahr vor
und fordert die Reparatur.
ACHTUNG
Manchmal wird den Staub während der Gerätsarbeit
gebildet,den Krebserzeugenen chemischen Stoen enthalten
kann. Zu solchen chemischen Stoen gehoeren: Blei im Bestand
vom Bleiweiß, Quarz, der den Ziegel und den Zement bildet,
Arsen und Chrom, die im Sägeholz enthalten sind, bearbeitet
von den chemischen Reagenzien, und übrige schädliche Stoe.
Das Risiko der Einwirkung der angegebenen chemischen Stoe
hängtvonder FrequenzdermitihnendurchfuehrendenArbeiten
ab. Um ihre schädliche Einwirkung zu verringern, arbeiten Sie
im gut lüfteten Raum und verwenden Sie die sanktionierten
Schutzvorrichtungen, zum Beispiel, Mundschutz, die für
Abltrierungder mikroskopischenTeilchen speziell entwickelt
sind. Bewahren Sie eine unveränderliche Stellung.
Beim Treen unter das Gerät des nebensächlichen•
Gegenstandes, schauen Sie es auf das Vorhandensein der
Beschädigungen an und, falls notwendig, reparieren Sie es.
An Enstehung der übermäßigen Vibration, stoppen Sie•
sofort die Kraftmaschiene und stellen Sie Gründe klar. Vibration

Bevor dem Verlassen des Arbeitsplatzes, Reparatur,•
Besichtigung oder Reinigung des Gerätes schalten Sie es ab und
bis zum vollen Stillstand warten.
Es wird verboten, elektrische und mechanische•
Schutzvorrichtungen zu ändern oder zu entfernen.
Sondere Sicherheitsregeln
ACHTUNG
Bei der Arbeit ruft die Maschine Staub, Erhitzen und Vibration
hervor. Für die Gesunderhaltung PSA verwenden!
Das Aufatmen oder der Hautkontakt mit einigen Arten•
von Holz-, Metall- oder Pigmentstaub sind für die Gesundheit
schädlich. Immer Informationen über die Materialien, die für
die Bearbeitung vorgesehen sind, bekommen und notwendige
Sicherheitsmaßnahmen treen.
Immer Mittel für den Augenschutz verwenden. Fremde•
Objekte oder Staub mit großer Geschwindigkeit können in
die Augen geraten und unumkehrbare Augenverletzung
verursachen. Immer die Schutzbrille aufsetzen.
Beim Schleifen immer eine entsprechende•
Staubschutzmaske verwenden.
Beim Schleifen immer Ohrenschutzmittel, besonders bei•
der Dauerarbeit verwenden.
ACHTUNG
Um die Verletzung nach dem unbeabsichtigten Anlauf der
Maschine zu vermeiden, muss man immer die Netzschnur
vor der Installierung oder dem Herausnehmen des exiblen
Schleifmittels oder vor dem Abkuppeln der Flugstaubkammer
abschalten. Beliebige Wartung der Maschine soll unter
gefahrlosen Bedingungen zur Vermeidung von Unfällen
wegen des unerwarteten Anlaufes der Maschine durchgeführt
werden.
Für die Arbeit muss man nur dieVorrichtungen, die für diese•
Maschine vorgesehen sind, verwenden!
Bei der Arbeit entstehenden Staub in die Flugstaubkammer•
oder mit Hilfe des Anschlusses eines geeigneten Staubsaugers
aufsammeln.
Der entstehende Staub kann leicht entammen, besonders•
Staub vom Holz, Leichtmetallen, Pigment usw. Brandgefahr!
Regelmäßig den entstehenden Staub aus dem Arbeitsbereich
entfernen.
Das Schleifen von metallischen Oberächen kann den•
Funkenug verursachen. Es besteht Entammungsgefahr! Leicht
auammende Objekte nicht nähern und den entstehenden
Staub regelmäßig entfernen. Einen geeigneten Staubsauger
anwenden.
Hohe Temperaturunterschiede können zur Bildung des•
Kondensationswassers auf beweglichen Maschinenteilen
führen.Vor derVerwendung die Maschine bis zur Lufttemperatur
am Arbeitsplatz auskühlen lassen.
ACHTUNG
Bei dem Fehlen oder der Verletzung eines Teils die Maschine
an eine Speisequelle bis zum Ersatz des fehlenden oder
defekten Teils nicht anschließen.
Das Werkstück ist zu befestigen. Für das Halten des•
Werkstückes Niederhalter oder Spannzwinge verwenden. Das
ist mehr sicherer als das Werkstück mit der Hand zu halten, und
dabei kann man die Maschine mit beiden Händen betätigen.
Die Werkstücke, die zu klein sind, oder die sicher nicht zu•
befestigen sind, nicht ausschleifen.
Sicherstellen, dass es keine Nägel oder sonstige fremde•
Objekte im Bereich der vermutlichen Schleifen des Werkstückes
gibt.
Es wird zugelassen, nur dasTrockenschleifen der Oberäche•
durchzuführen. Die Anwendung des Wassers oder anderer
Flüssigkeiten kann zur Verletzung durch den Strom führen.
