operating your remote control
The remote control requires a CR2025, 3V Lithium battery
1. Press and slide the battery cover to open the battery compartment of the remote
control.
2. Pull out the battery holder and remove the old battery.
3. Replace with a new battery.
4. Insert the battery holder back into the remote control.
remote control operation range
• The remote control sensor on the front unit is
sensitive to the remote control’s commands
up to a maximum of 5 metres away and within
a maximum of a 60° arc.
• Please note that the operating distance may
vary depending on the brightness of the
room.
Remove the Plastic Strip from the Remote Control
Remove the plastic strip from the battery if the
battery is being used for the rst time. It is located
at the bottom rear side of the remote control.

Connect the mains cable to the mains
socket on wall.
• Ensure the mains power is switched
on. Your unit is ready to use.
installing the batteries

handling the batteries
• Improper or incorrect use of batteries may cause corrosion or battery leakage, which
could cause re, personal injury or damage to property.
• Install the battery correctly in the battery compartment. Normally the battery’s positive
polarity (+) will face up.
• When the battery is exhausted, the remote control will not function.
• Only use the battery type indicated in this manual.
• Do not dispose of the used battery as domestic waste. Dispose of it in accordance with
local regulations.
• Small button cell batteries such as the one used in the remote control are easily
swallowed by young children and this is dangerous. Keep loose button cells away from
young children and make sure that the battery is secure in the remote control. Seek
medical advice if you believe a battery cell has been swallowed.
Handling the Remote Control
• Be aware of your ngernails when removing the battery cover and the battery.
• Do not drop the remote control.
• Do not allow anything to impact the remote control.
• Do not spill water or liquid on the remote control.
• Do not place the remote control on a wet object.
• Do not place the remote control under direct sunlight or near sources of excessive
heat.
• Remove the battery from the remote control when not in use for a long period of time,
as corrosion or battery leakage may occur and result in physical injury, and/or property
damage, and/or re.

basic operation
Each enabled stage will be clared in approximately 8 seconds if you do not press any button.
powering ON/OFF
When you rst connect the unit to the mains socket, the unit will be in standby mode.
1. Press STANDBY on the unit or the remote control to switch on the unit. The LCD
display will show the Clock.
2. Press STANDBY to switch the unit back to standby mode.
3. If you want to turn o the unit completely, unplug the mains cable.
If there is no sign under the DOCK, LINE IN or Bluetooth mode, or volume is muted
for 15 minutes, it will automatically switch to STANDBY mode.
selecting modes
• Ensure the unit is in Standby mode before selecting a function.
• Use either SOURCE on the unit, or DOCK/LINE IN, FM, on the remote control to select a
function. The functions will cycle through the following sequence:

adjusting the volume
• Press VOLUME + / – to adjust the volume.
• If you wish to turn the sound o, press MUTE on the remote control. Press MUTE
again or press VOLUME + / – to resume normal listening.
setting the clock
1. In Standby mode, press and hold CLOCK on the unit or CLOCK/PROG on the remote
control until 24H on the LCD display starts ashing.
2. You can choose between a 12 hour or 24 hour clock. Press or on the unit, or or
on the remote control.
3. Press CLOCK on the unit or CLOCK/PROG on the remote control to conrm the clock
format.
4. When the HOUR digits ash, set the hour using or on the unit, or or on the
remote control.
5. Press CLOCK on the unit or CLOCK/PROG on the remote control to start the MINUTE
digits ashing.
6. Set the minutes using or on the unit, or or on the remote control.
7. Press CLOCK on the unit or CLOCK/PROG on the remote control to conrm the Clock
setting.

setting the alarms
The alarms can be set to sound at two dierent times.
1. Ensure that the clock is set correctly.
2. Press and hold ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 on the unit or press ALM 1 or ALM 2 on the
remote control until 1 or 2 blinks.
3. Press or on the unit, or or on the remote control to the select alarm source
for both alarms.
4. Then press ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 on the unit or ALM 1 or ALM 2 on the remote control.
5. Use or on the unit, or or on the remote control repeatedly to set the hour.
6. Press ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 on the unit or ALM 1 or ALM 2 on the remote control to
conrm. The minute digits will then begin to blink.
7. Set the minutes using or on the unit, or or on the remote control.
8. Press ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 on the unit or ALM 1 or ALM 2 on the remote control to
conrm. The display will show Volume level.
9. To set volume, press or on the unit, or or on the remote control.
10. Press ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 on the unit or ALM 1 or ALM 2 on the remote control to
conrm. Alternatively, the display will stop blinking automatically.
activate/ deactivate alarm timer
1. Press ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 on the unit or ALM 1 or ALM 2 on the remote control to
view the alarm settings.
2. Repeat step (1) to activate or deactivate the timer. 1 or 2 will appear if the timer
is ON and will disappear if it is OFF.
• To stop the alarm, press either ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 on the unit or ALM 1 or ALM 2 on
the remote control.
• The alarm will continue to repeat daily if it is not deactivated.
snooze alarm
When the alarm(s) sound, press SNOOZE if you want to stop the alarm temporarily. The
alarm will resume 5 minutes later.
To turn o the Snooze fcuntion, press ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 on the unit or press ALM 1 or
ALM 2 on the remote control.
set sleep timer
The clock radio will switch to standby mode automatically after a preset period.
• To activate the timer, press SLEEP repeatedly to select the time period (in minutes).
When the timer is activated, appears.
• To deactivate the timer, press SLEEP repeatedly until OFF appears.

radio operation
This unit only receives FM radio station signals.
tuning into stations
• Position the aerial as far away from the TV, VCR or other electronic sources as possible.
• For optimal reception, fully extend and adjust the position of the aerial.
1. Press FM on the unit or the remote control to select the FM tuner.
2. Then press and hold or on the unit, or or on the remote control until Srch
is displayed.
3. The radio will then tune into a station with strong reception automatically.
4. Press and hold or on the unit, or or on the remote control to tune more
stations.
storing stations automatically
You can store up to 20 of your favourite stations to preset stations. This will enable you to
access your favourrite stations quickly and easily.
In FM mode, press and hold CLOCK/PROG on the remote control to store the stations.
selecting preset stations
Select FM mode and then press or on the unit or on the remote control to select a
preset number.
iPod / iPhone / iPad operation

listening to iPod / iPhone / iPad
1. Press SOURCE on the unit and select DOCK or press DOCK/LINE IN on the remote
control.
2. Place the iPod / iPhone / iPad in the dock on the unit.
3. To start / pause/ resume play, press on the unit or on the remote control.
4. To skip a track, press or on the unit or or on the remote control.
charging the iPod / iPhone / iPad
When the unit is connected to a switched on mains power supply, the docked iPod / iPhone
/ iPad will being charging automatically.
• Certain iPod models are not compatible with dock charging.
• Certain iPod/iPhone/iPad models may take up to a minute before the charging indicator
appears.
• If the clock is not manually set, when an iPod / iPhone / iPad is connected, the clock radio
will synchronize the time from the iPod / iPhone / iPad automatically.
AUX operation
The unit supports listening to an external audio device.
1. Press SOURCE on the unit and then select LINE IN or press DOCK/LINE IN on the
remote control for the same function.
2. Connect the cable to the LINE IN socket at the rear of the unit and the AUDIO OUT
jack to the external device.
3. You can now playback track on the external audio device.
bluetooth operation
You can listen to tracks from a media device if it is connected to the unit via Bluetooth.
pairing Bluetooth-enabled devices
• The operational range between the unit and the device is approximately 10 metres.
• Before connecting a Bluetooth device to the unit, ensure you know the device’s capabilities.
• Compatibility with all Bluetooth devices is not guaranteed.
• Obstacles between the device and the unit can reduce operational range.
• Keep the unit away from other electronic devices that may cause interference.

To connect your device to the unit via Bluetooth, follow the steps below:
1. Press SOURCE on the unit to select “bt” (Bluetooth) or press on the remote control.
The blue LED next to the display will blink once a second.
2. Turn on the Bluetooth function on your device.
3. Search for other Bluetooth devices, then select “iCRIPBT12”in the pairing list.
4. Enter default password “0000”. Some Bluetooth devices may not require password
pairing.
5. On successful pairing, the unit will beep and the blue LED will light up solidly.
• The device will be disconnected if it is moved beyond the operational range.
• To reconnect the device to the unit return to within operational range.
• When the unit is disconnected from the Bluetooth device it will enter pairing mode
automatically with other Bluetooth devices searching for connection.
listening to music from the bluetooth device
If the Bluetooth device supports Advanced Audio Distribution Prole (A2DP), you can listen
to music stored on the device through the unit.
1. Pair or connect the media device with the unit.
2. Start music playback via the device.
All functions should be operated directly using your media / audio device.
maintenance
Ensure the unit is fully unplugged from the mains socket before cleaning.
• To clean the unit, wipe the case with a slightly moist, lint-free cloth.
• Do not use any cleaning uids containing alcohol, ammonia or abrasives.
• Do not spray an aerosol at or near the unit.

If problems arise with your unit, check this list for possible solutions before calling a
qualied service agent. If you cannot solve the problem, or the system has been physically
damaged, call your dealer or a qualied audio engineer.

iPod/iPhone/iPad
iPod/iPhone/iPad does
not respond to the
speaker system
• iPod/iPhone/iPad may not be docked properly or installed
properly. Remove your iPod/iPhone/iPad from the dock and
check for obstructions on the connectors in the dock and on
your iPod/iPhone/iPad.
• Make sure that your iPod/iPhone/iPad is working properly
before docking. Please refer to your iPod/iPhone/iPad manual
for details.
The unit doesn’t play

• Make sure the iPod/iPhone/iPad is connected properly.
• Standby mode may be activated; press the button on the
unit or the STANDBY button on the remote control again.
• Make sure the iPod/iPhone/iPad is switched on.
• Vibrations may have caused the iPod/iPhone/iPad to come
loose from the docking station.
• Check iPod mode is selected.
• Reinsert iPod/iPhone/iPad.

• Bluetooth reception is poor. Move the device closer to the
unit and/or remove obstacles between device and unit.
Cannot connect to the
unit
• The device does not support the proles required by the unit.
• The device’s Bluetooth is not enabled. Refer to user manual.
• The unit is not in pairing mode.
• The unit is already connected with another Bluetooth device.
Disconnect that device and try again.
Bluetooth PIN or
password may be
wrong
• Check that PIN or password entry is correct and enter it again.
• If there is no PIN or password entry option, click OK and then
re-pair. The unit will pair with the Bluetooth device on either
the second or third try. On successful pairing, the unit will
beep and the blue LED will light up solidly.
