This appliance is for use as an outdoor only camp cooking appliance.
CARBON MONOXIDE HAZARD
This appliance can produce carbon monoxide which has no odor.
Using it in an enclosed space can kill you. Never use this appliance in an
enclosed space such as a camper, tent, car or home.
Improper installation, adjustment, alteration, service or maintenance can cause
injury or death. Read the installation, operating and maintenance instructions
thoroughly before installing, operating or servicing this equipment.

1. Do not attempt to light appliance.

5. Leave the area immediately.
6. Allow gas to dissipate 5 minutes.

of the appliance, and fuel supply, follow

Features of this product
Heat panel to accelerate the vaporization of gas
As the vaporization of gas progresses during combustion, the temperature
drops, the heating power weakens, and it becomes impossible to use all the
gas in the canister.
Topreventthis,amoderateamountofheatfromtheameoftheburnerduring
combustion is transferred to the canister to accelerate the vaporization of gas,
which maintains the heating power so that all the gas can be used up.
This makes the canister slightly warm, but this is not a problem.
Detachable canister with magnet
The canister is installed using the magnet instead of a lever.

Pressure sensor safety device
Ifthepressure(temperature)insidethecanisterbecomes

Remove the stove from the carrying case.
●Placethecarryingcaseinalocationinwhichisnotaectedbyheat.(Waituntilthestovehascooledbeforestoringit.)
Never use the stove while it is inside the carrying case, because the carrying case will deform or melt.

Preparation and advance checks
If the top cover is secured, it becomes a simple windbreak. However, this limits the size of usable cookware.
You can also remove the top cover before use.
[Removal method] Attach the top cover by reversing this procedure.

Release the snap locks (2 locations),
and then open the top cover.
Pull out the stays that are attached
to the front and rear of the top cover.
While lightly pushing the top cover
backward, insert the stays into the
stay-attachment holes.
The stays are hot after use, so allow it
to cool before storing.

Installing canister Install a canister following the procedure below.
Be aware that if a canister is installed incorrectly, unexpected dangers may result.
Before attaching a canister, either remove the top cover or secure the top cover with
the stays. When foreign objects have adhered to the

If iron scraps or powder have stuck to the
magnet, a gas leak may occur or it may not be
possible to install the canister. If foreign objects
have stuck to the magnet, use adhesive tape to
remove them.

it stops.
●IftheON/OFFknobisnotinthe“OFF”position,the
canister installation safety device is activated, and
the canister cannot be installed.
Make sure no foreign objects have adhered to the
magnet.

canister notch with the protrusion of container-
receiving guide.
As shown in the illustration to the right, place
your hand near the top of the canister, slide
the canister horizontally, and push it until it ts
completely with the magnet.

When the canister has been installed
correctly,thereisagapofabout2.2"/5.5cm
at the back end of the canister.
The canister installation section is
designed to move with some “play”.
This gap does not indicate a problem,
so please use this product with peace
of mind.
Install the canister securely so that there is no gap
between the magnet and canister.
After the canister has been installed, close the canister cover.

Make sure the ame is out completely
●Justaftertheameisextinguished,boththe
main unit and the canister will be hot.
Wait until they cool down.
Remove the canister
●Alwaysremovethecanister.
Otherwise, appliance failures or gas
leaks may occur.
Ignite a ame after the canister has been
removed
●Asmallamountofgasremainsinthepiping
of the main unit. To prevent danger, perform
ignitiononetimetoburnotheremaininggas.

and then store the canister.
Open the canister cover.
While holding the canister, apply a small
amount of force in the direction opposite the
installation direction to remove it from the
magnet.
Put the canister cap on
the removed canister.
Close the canister cover.
Handling after use Make sure that the canister is not inside the canister cover, and then attach the top cover.
Attach the top cover by reversing the
procedure of "Removal method" (page 4).
Close the top cover. Lock the snap locks.

If the snap locks are not locked, the top cover
may open, which may cause stove damage,
burns, or other unexpected accidents.
Storage After the equipment has cooled su ciently, store it in a low-humidity location.
●Whenthestoveisbeingmoved,itcanbestooduptemporarily.
●Werecommendstoringthestovewiththefeetonthebottom.
If the stove will be stored standing up, it will be unstable, so place it
in a space in which it will not fall over, such as between two items.
Furthermore,donotplaceitemsonthetopsection(handleside).
Otherwise, the stove may be damaged.

Caution
Do not use deformed canisters

Inspect stored canisters from time to time,
always check that rusting canisters are free
from gas leaks, and use them as soon as
possible
*Even if a canister does not exhibit rusting, do not use
a canister that has been stored for an extended period
(more than 6 or 7 years as a rough guide).
Please use dedicated canister
Please use dedicated canister marked with “Iwatani Butane
Fuel” or “FORE WINDS Butane Fuel”. If other canisters are
used, it may cause gas leak or abnormality of operation.
Inhalation risk
Do not intentionally suck gas from the canister, as this
may lead to suff ocation or death due to lack of oxygen.
Do not subject the canister to strong impacts
The canister may become damaged or ignite due to a gas
leak if it suff ers an impact from a falling object.
Do not put the canister near a
heat source
Do not put the canister in a place near
a heat source. The pressure inside
the canister may cause the canister to
explode.
When storing the canister,
avoid ames and direct sunlight
Keep the canister with canister cap
tted in a place under 104˚F/40˚C
where it is airy and with little humidity.
Keep away from ame and direct
sunlight.
Handling the Canister Instructions and warnings expressed on the canister should be read thoroughly.
Before using, remove the canister cap. Before storing the canister, replace the canister cap

● To protect your hands and ngers, always wear gloves.
● Do not wash this product as a whole.
If water enters the gas line, gas will no longer come out, which
may cause rust.
● Always remove the canister before inspections and maintenance.
● Wait until the main unit has cooled down before inspecting
and maintaining the product.
● Never disassemble the gas line section.
● If there is a spillover during use, please clean burner.

Rubber parts are used in the gas connection opening of this product.
Regardless of frequency of use, rubber parts deteriorate over time.
Please consider replacing this product 10 years after manufacture.

Remove the knurled screws (2). Lift the right side of the drip pan
slightly.
After the burner comes out from the hole of
the drip pan, pull the drip pan up to the right.

Troubleshooting In the event of an unexpected malfunction, troubleshoot by
using the following information.
Issue Remedy

1Is there any deformation or
warping on the main unit? Request an inspection and repair.
2Have iron scraps or powder
adhered to the magnet?
Remove the iron scraps or powder using
adhesive tape.

Is the ON/OFF knob set to “ON”?
Set the ON/OFF knob to “OFF”.
4Is a canister made by another
company being used? Use a dedicated Iwatani canister.
5Has the gas run out?
Is there little gas remaining? Replace with a new canister.
6Have stains or moisture stuck
to the electrode section? Wipe away the stains or moisture.
7Is the burner ame opening
clogged?
Use a metal brush or other similar item to
remove the clog.
8Is the ignition operation
being performed correctly?
Perform the ignition operation correctly.

9The ON/OFF knob may have
failed. Request an inspection and repair.
10 The gas duct (nozzle) may
be clogged. Request an inspection and repair.
11 Has the pressure sensor
safety device been activated?
Reset the device following “● When the
pressure sensor safety device has been
activated” (page 3).
12 Is the canister installed
correctly? Install the canister correctly. (page 4)
13 The ignition device may
have failed. Request an inspection and repair.
14 Is the ON/OFF knob opened
fully? Open the ON/OFF knob fully.
15 Is the spark jumping from
the electrode to the burner?
When the spark is not jumping from the
electrode to the burner, adjust so that the
distance between the electrode tip and burner is
about 3 mm, and the ame opening is centered.
16 Is the spark jumping?
If the spark is not jumping, stains or water
drops have stuck to the white section of
the electrode (ceramic). Wipe away the
stains or moisture.
17 The ame around the electrode is red during the rst use after purchase.
After several uses, the red ame disappears. Continue to use the product as is.

A sound during extinguishing is not a problem. Continue to use the product as is.
19 This is not a problem. Turn down the ON/OFF knob slightly for 2 to 3 minutes.
