Powerful Solar
Charging Panel
Instruction Manual
TM
The iwerkz SolRX Solar Charger repre-
sents the future of portable on-demand
device charging.
Phones, tablets, action cams, portable
speakers - practically any USB powered
device can be charged using the power
of the sun when you use the SolRX
Charger.
While the device is simple to use (plug in,
place in the sun and start charging), there
are some simple tips and tricks we
will point out in this short user manual.
Included
• SolRX folding charging panel
• USB to micro USB cable
GETTING STARTED
Charging
• Place charging panel in sunlight with
panels open and angled so that they
face directly toward the sun.
• Plug the USB side of the charging
cable into one of the USB outputs
slots in the output box. Plug the micro
USB side of the cable into the micro
USB slot on your device to start
charging.
FAQ
Q: Is the SolRX waterproof?
A: The SolRX charging panel is weather and water
resistant, and can tolerate light moisture and spills.
Do not immerse or allow to sit in snow or rain.
Q: What types of devices will this charge?
A: With a 5v output, SolRX will charge most cell
phones, tablets, action cams, portable speakers,
MP3 players and most other small electronics with
USB charging.
Q: How long does it take to charge my phone?
A: Charging time will vary depending on your device
and the battery capacity. The amount of sunlight
will also impact charging time. In general, it should
take approximately the same amount of time to
charge your device as it would if you plugged it into
a standard powered 2 amp charger.
Q: Can I charge inside with the panel behind a
window?
A: Yes! Keep in mind that some windows have been
tinted with film that blocks infrared/UV light. In those
cases, charging time will increase.
Q: Can I charge my device on a cloudy day?
A: Yes, though charging efficiency will be lower and
total charging time will increase.
Q: Can I charge using indoor lighting?
A: No. Indoor lighting does not provide the same
type of energy that SolRX can use to generate
power.
Q: My device only requires 1 amp. Will this 2
amp charger damage it?
A: No. Your device will only input the max amperage
level that it needs to charge.
Q: My Apple® device started charging, then
said “not charging” or “charging not supported
by this accessory”. Is there a problem with this
charger?
A: The solar panel is likely working, but your device
is confused by the signal. Unplug your device and
plug it back in and it will likely start charging. You
may have to do this several times before it charges
correctly. Also, if you see this error, make sure your
phone is not locked when you start charging.
Care Instructions
•
Clean with a damp towel or cloth. Do not
immerse or wash under running water.
•
Take extra care when cleaning the outer surface
of the charging panels. These panels can be
damaged if cleaned or scraped roughly.
• Keep cover to USB charging ports in closed
position when not in use to prevent dirt and dust
from entering the ports.
• Close/fold panels when not in use to help
protect the panel surfaces.

workmanship. Sela Products, LLC will replace this

Warning
• When using the SolRX charger to charge
portable backup batteries (“power banks”), make
sure the batteries are not placed directly in the
sun when charging. Keep portable batteries
underneath the panels or in the accessory pouch.
Lithium batteries can be dangerous and potentially
combustable when charging if they are allowed to
get too hot. Ensure any portable device or battery
is not placed on dry grass or other flammable
elements when charging.
• Do not mock or otherwise poke fun of your
friends who do not have solar panels to charge
their devices, as this may cause an elevated state
of agitation and may potentially damage your
friendship. iwerkz suggests you quietly enjoy
the fact that you are helping our planet by using
a renewable energy source: the sun.
