HDMI HD Video Capture Pro.
This is a standalone video capture device which is able to record HDMI or Component
video to a USB Flash or Hard Drive, without the need for a PC.
Recordings from this device can then be edited on a PC or Mac using a variety of editing
suites. Or for simple playback, the device can be used to play back recordings without
being edited.
The recorder has two inputs, the HDMI input and the A/V Input (Component or
Composite video with audio). Typical sources are:
 Blu Ray or DVD Players.
 Sky HD.
 Virgin Media.
 Freeview.
 Games Consoles.
For A/V input, an adaptor to phono socket lead is provided. The recorder can use either
A/V input, or HDMI input and only one should be connected at a time. Output from the
recorder is a single HDMI connection to the screen.
An external Flash drive/key or Hard Disc is required to be connected to the “HOST”
terminal. Connection to the TV and source should be made before connecting power to
the unit. Switch on the TV and then the source and the unit should then show the TV
picture. For some systems, where HDCP is present, it is required that a pin-hole button
be pressed. A suitable device for pressing the button is provided.

Setup Menu.
Within the Setup menu there are four options:
1. System.
2. Audio.
3. Video.
4. Misc.
Most options within these menus are self explanatory, or are probably best left at their
default setting. For brevity only the salient ones will be discussed.

video, or HDMI lead for digital.
The remote control requires two AAA batteries.

displayed. There are four options:
1. File Manager.
2. Movies.
3. Photos.
4. Setup.
Language Selection.
Initially the recorder may be in a different language from the one you require. Selecting
the correct language is easy.
Select the right hand menu option using the naviga-
tion keys and OK button.
In the setup menu, select the first option presented to
you. This is the language selection.
From the sub menu, select the desired language. All
menus will now be in your chosen language.
Selecting Media.
There are three menu options which allow for the playing back of media from the external
drive. Here will be described using the “File Manager”, as “Movies” and “Photos” are
similar.
Select the left hand menu option using the OK button.
This now brings up a menu which lists the drive con-
nected, and again pressing the OK button goes in to
the file system structure.
Using the navigation buttons the required file can be
selected and pressing OK will play that file.
If previously played, the recorder may ask if it is to
play back from the previously left location.
When in the file menu, pressing the HotKey button
brings up a submenu with various options.
