1Introduction
ZAVIOStandaloneisaLinux‐embeddedopenplatformnetworkvideorecording
system,providingastableandgoodqualitylocaldisplaythroughHDMIinterface.As
anetwork‐basedsurveillancesystem,ZAVIOStandalonepossessesremoteaccess
abilitytostrengthenitsusability.
Itfeaturestwousefulfunctions,one‐clicksetupandmobileAPP.One‐clicksetup
reducesthetimeofcameraconfigurationbysearchingandautomaticallyadding
camerasinthelocalnetwork.Mobileappfacilitatestheprocessofestablishing
accesstotheNVRsystemwithoutthecomplicatedproceduresofroutersettingsfor
remoteandmobileviewing(iOsandAndroid).
Thisuser’smanualencompassestheinformationusersneedtosetupandconfigure
thesystem.Itisrecommendedthatyoukeeponecopyofthismanualforany
necessaryreferenceinthefuture.

Connecttheunitandcameratoarouter/switch.Ifyouneedtoviewthevideo
throughinternet,connecttherouter/switchtotheinternetandtheunitwillretrieve
anIPaddressthroughDHCPbydefault.
Theunithasbuilt‐inDHCPservice,whichcanassignIPaddresses;suitableforthepureLAN
environment.

TheunithasHDMIdisplayinterfaces;connectthemonitorviaHDMI.
Thesupporteddisplayresolutionsare3840x2160,1920x1080,and1280x720.Pleaseconfirm
thatoneoftheresolutionsissupportedbyyourmonitor.

Whenfirstpower‐on,youwillseetheInstallWizardwhichguideyoutosetupthe
unitquicklyinastep‐by‐stepmanner.ConnectaMonitorandanUSBMousedevice
totheunittousetheInstallWizard.

ZAVIORtoaddthisNVRunit,andviewvideosonmobiledevices.
NVR P2P is disabled by default, you can enable it in the P2P Setting.

Thelocaluserinterfaceprovidedisplayandsettingfunctions.Afterconnectingunit
toaMonitorandanUSBMousedevice,youcantakebenefitofNVRwithoutaPC
orlaptop.WewilluseLocalSystemtomentionlocaluserinterfaceintherestof
thedocument.
5.1 GuideforUserInterface
TheLocalSystemhasthree2mainscreens,LiveViewandPlayback.
TheLiveViewscreenshowstheinstantvideo(s),whilethePlaybackscreenplays
therecordedvideos.
Besidesmainscreens,wealsoprovidescreensforSettingstoadaptrealinstallation
andusage.TheSettingscreenswillbedescribedlaterinChapter6‐Settings.
Forallscreen,wehaveaMainMenu,VideoArea,SideBar,andaToolbarto
