1Assemble the parts11”22.5”The brackets (Part No.SA-BRKT-11-22) aredesigned for 16” On-center constructions,however can be adjustedto accomodateconstruction from 11” to22.5” joist spacing(Fig. 1).2Attach the brackets to the speaker using thesupplied 8/32 screws , lock washers & flat washers . Tighten these screws just enough to allow movement foradjustment during installation. Note: brackets can be mountedto either the sides or the ends of the speaker for addedinstallation flexibility. 4Place the speaker on top of thethe temporary holders Page 35Expand the bracket to fit from joist to joist (Fig. 8). Then fix to the joists usinga drywall screw (Fig. 9). Make certain the bracket is flush with the joist (Fig.10). (Drywall screws not included)Fix the brackets to the Joists3Cut a couple a 2 x 4s or 1 x 2s, afew inches wider than the ceilingjoists. Then with a couple of drywallscrews, mount the temporary holders to the joists. (Drywall screwsnot included). Mount temporary holders to joists
These will help youhold the speaker upand make the speakermount flush to thefuture drywall.

7Remove the temporaryholders from the joists 8Double check that theface of the speakeris plumb with joist Adjust if needed(loosen the bracketslightly and adjust thespeaker’s position upor down or as required(Fig. 13).Tighten screws by hand enough to securely fix thebracket to the speakercase (Fig. 11). You can adjust the side-to-side position of the speaker by sliding the bracket before tightening.6Firmly secure the bracketto the speaker Remove drywallscrews and remove thetemporary holders(Fig. 12a).
