Congratulations on Your
New JangleBox J-Gate™
Say goodbye to buzz and hum…
Your gear is top quality. Your pedal board is set up for maximum eciency and
functionality. Your tone is precise. Your rig should be working perfectly.
So what the hell is causing all that buzzing and humming when your guitar is “idling”?
Doesn’t matter anymore — your JangleBox J-Gate noise suppressor will make that
nuisance a distant memory. Like all JangleBox pedals, the J-Gate is designed with quality
components to exacting specifications. But more to the point, the J-Gate is probably the
most “musical” noise suppressor you’ll ever experience.
Full-range response. Easy-to-dial-in Threshold and Decay controls. True bypass switching.
Dead silent shut-o switch. No chatter or artifacting as the sound fades. Full-wave signal
detector for a smooth operation.
This is the pedal that will make every other pedal in your rig shine.
Set it and forget it!
DECAYTHRESHOLD
The J-Gate is easy to set up
1. Daisy-chain the J-Gate with your other pedals anywhere in your signal chain.
2. Turn on your pedals (except the J-Gate) and amp. Adjust volumes.
3. Rotate both Threshold and Decay knobs completely counter-clockwise (o)
and turn on the J-Gate. There will be no sound in your signal path now.
4. Strum your guitar and slowly rotate the Threshold knob clockwise until you
hear the guitar. (Threshold point will probably be in the 9:00-10:00 area).
5. The sound will likely fade out too abruptly. Rotate the Decay knob clockwise to
approximately the same point as the Threshold to get a more natural sounding
fade-out. If you want a longer fade, increase the Decay.
6. Fine-tune the overall gate response by tweaking both knobs so that the sound
starts and fades precisely as you want.
The Mute switch is for unexpected feedback or squealing. It instantly kills ALL the
sound in your signal path. Note that the Mute only works when the J-Gate is on.
