BEFORE YOU START
Identify and inventory all parts using the checklist boxes that appear on each
page. Be sure to keep the hardware bags and their contents separate. If any
parts are missing call Our Customer Service Department (800-243-0533).
FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY
OR PROPERTY DAMAGE AND WILL VOID THE WARRANTY.
●Proper and complete assembly, use and supervision is essential for proper operation and
to reduce the risk of accident or injury. A high probability of serious injury exists if this
system is not installed, maintained, or operated properly.
●The major components of this system have considerable weight. It is recommended that
scaffolding or a lift jack be used to hoist the outrigger, frames and board into place.
●If using a ladder during assembly, use extreme caution. Follow all warnings and cautions
on the ladder carefully.
●Before digging, contact the appropriate agency to locate underground power cables, gas,
and water lines. Do not install the system within 20 feet of overhead power lines.
●Climate, corrosion, or misuse could result in system failure.
●If technical assistance is required, contact the manufacturer.
●Most injuries are caused by misuse and /or failure to follow instructions.
●Use caution when using the system.

Footing:
NOTE: Before digging, call to locate any buried utility lines.
a. Dig a hole 54" deep x 36" across. The edge of the hole should be flush with the
edge of the playing surface. If you live in an area where heavy frost can occur, it
may pose a problem, consult your local building inspector to determine the
appropriate hole depth. NOTE: The hole must be at least 54" deep.
b. There must be at least 3 feet of clearance behind the unit to enable the user to
adjust the height.
c. Mix the concrete according to the instructions on the bags. Note that a thicker mix
of concrete will dry stronger than a thin mix. Pour the concrete into the hole,
stopping approximately 18 inches from the top of the hole.
d. Insert the basketball post 48 inches deep.
e. Insert the four pieces of 3/4” x 42” Rebar into the hole, pushing each piece firmly
to the bottom of the hole. The four pieces should be arranged in a square
approximately 8 - 9 inches wide so that each piece of rebar will be positioned
surrounding the backstop post.
f. Finish filling the hole to the top with concrete.
g. Allow the concrete to cure a minimum of 72 hours before proceeding. In humid
climates or wet weather, allow additional time for the concert to cure.

Extension assembly:
a. Attach the back post plate to the upper extension arm and position it just beneath
the white stripe.
b. Attach the lower extension arm to the upper extension arm, assembly as shown.
c. Carefully adjust the height of the extension arm assembly so that the height of the
top slot of the lower extension arm is 119” (see next page for illustration).
d. Securely tighten all hardware.

Backboard & Goal Rim Assembly:
a. Insert four (4) 3/8” x 1-1/2” carriage bolt heads into the upper rear backboard
slots. Carefully lift the backboard and insuring that the four (4) 3/8” x 1-1/2”
carriage bolts pass thru the upper extension arm weldment plate ok. Use 3/8”
washers, lock washers and hex nut to secure in place.
b. Attach the lower part of the backboard onto the lower extension arm weldment
using the middle slot with 3/8” x 1-1/2” long hex head bolt, washers, lock washers
and hex nut.
c. Attach the goal to the backboard using the remaining slots with 3/8” x 3” long hex
head bolt, washers, lock washers, and hex nut.

Brace Assembly:
a. Attach the backboard mounting tab onto the lower horizontal slots in the
backboard with the 3/8” x 1-1/2” long carriage bolt with washers, lock washers
and hex nut as shown. Repeat for the other side on the backboard. DO NOT
OVER TIGHTEN.
b. Assemble the brace pipe onto the backboard mounting tab with 3/8” x 1-1/4” long
hex head bolt with washers, lock washers and hex nut as shown.
c. Attach the both mounting tab weldment onto the neck of the upper extension arm
weldment with 1/2" x 6-1/2” long hex head bolt with washers, lock washers and
hex nut as shown.
d. Carefully slide and adjust the mounting tab weldment and or the backboard
mounting tab as needed to align the brace pipe onto the mounting tab weldment
slots. Once all parts are evenly align install the remaining 3/8” hardware onto the
mounting tab weldment and brace pipe as shown, repeat for other side.
