2.1 MEMORY OCCUPATION
On ECR's memory can be managed different kinds of data.
Each mentioned data has different memory occupation size, so it'll be necessary
to calculate the memory expansion.
Here below (on table) the max record number for each kind of data and for each
memory expansion size and, as well as the single dimension for each kind of record.

*: For memory billing of each table, max memory capacity of registration line is 99.
1 : The Std.Mem. (standard memory) is the memory standard installed in ECR, this
memory area is always available on all ECR of G-556's series .
The standard memory size is of 432 KByte.

3. Keyboard Configuration
One of the main characteristics of ECR consists to change personal the lay-out
keyboard whichallottingthe keysandthe correspondentsfunctionsinyour rightpositions.
G556 cash register comes initially with standard configuration and can be modified
from the Servicing on the bases of the particular requirements of customer (the following
figures show the standard configuration of the keyboard of G-556 series).
Other possibility allows to input alphabetical characters by keyboard,it is useful
programming descriptions and input PLU codes alphanumeric when the device is
connected to PC.

4. PRINTER
The characters are printed using one matrix of points printed by of one fixed thermal head.
Printing ability is 28 characters for receipt and 28 characters for the journal.Double height
and double width of characters are also available. If apply double width for numeric result will be
obviously inferior.Printing speed is equal to 15 lines/second.
G-556 can prevent paper margin of journal (default) receipt (optional), signalize by
appropriate device that inhabit the operation of ECR or provoke an opportune acoustic and visual
signalling in dependency of the ECR setting.
In any case, to the attainment of the end of one of the two paper rolls, the ECR however
signalsthe paper endeitherfor receipt andforjournalinterrupting just theoperationand visualizing
an appropriate message.
Printing with an automatic cutter that comes activated to the term of the printing of every
receipt.Maincharacteristicsofreceiptprintingare:remarkablespeedofemission.Essentiallyquick
paper feed, the low level of noisiness obtained.Special materials and high technology of thermal
printer support, the excellent facility of substitution of the rolls.
On G-556, it is activate to printing graphical LOGO fixed or personalizable in any images or
own brand name/activity.
5 SUBSTITUTION COILS
The substitution of the coils paper on G-556 is an operation of extreme simplicity and particular
conceptionwithprinting.Ithasbeenplannedandconstructed.ThesubstitutionofthepaperonG-556ismuch
similar to the substitution of the paper of FAX machine.
ATTENTION!!!! : The operations of substitution of the paper coils must be made
which ECR is switch ON, otherwise the ECR will not be in
condition to realize that the substitution has been executed, so
"paper near end" signal will not be interrupted.

present on metallic support at the bottom.
3: Close the advance part of printer holding,
borders of paper coils (Receipt and
Journal) pulled towards to the front of the
ECR, crush with force over the advanced
