Owner's Manual
Introduction
Thank you for choosing this JENSEN Universal Remote Control. The new JENSEN line of universal remotes has been
designed with the consumer in mind. Months of market research and focus groups helped develop an ergonomically
correct remote control with all the latest features and benefits to enhance your viewing experience.
Before you begin using your new JENSEN remote control, you must first read the instructions carefully and install
a set of two “AA” batteries (not included). This manual was written for use with the JR300, JR400, and JR500.
Please note that not all modes will be available in all models.
Installing The Batteries:
1. Locate the battery cover on the back of the remote control.
2. Pull down the lever on the battery door to open battery compartment.
3. Install two “AA”batteries, making sure that the “+”and “-“marks on the batteries match the diagram inside
the battery compartment.
4. A battery test can be performed by pressing any of the “mode keys”: TV, VCR, CBL/SAT/ANT
(cable/satellite/antenna), DVD, and Audio. The red LED indicator will blink once.
Note: Your JENSEN Universal Remote Control has a built-in memory backup that allows you to remove the
batteries for up to 10 minutes without losing programmed information. If you wait longer than 10 minutes
to replace the batteries, you may have to reprogram your universal codes.
Programming the Remote Control:
There are two methods available to program your new remote control. The first method is “Manual Programming;”
the second method is “Standard Step-and-Set.”Please choose which of the following best fits your needs.
Manual Programming:
Locate the four-digit codes for your device and brand in the code listing included with this manual. You will notice
that there will be more than one four-digit code for some devices next to some brands. This is the result of many
manufacturers using different codes for different models. Once you have located the codes that you will be using,
you are ready to start programming your remote. Please follow the steps below for best results.
1. Manually turn on the device that you are trying to set up (TV, VCR, Cable/Satellite/Antenna, DVD, or Audio)
2. Press down and release the device “mode key”(TV, VCR, CBL/SAT/ANT, DVD, or AUD) on the remote control.
The red LED indicator will blink once.
3. Press down and hold the SETUP key until the red LED indicator blinks twice, then release.
4. Enter the first four-digit code for the device you are trying to program. The LED will blink once on each digit
entry except for the last digit, where it will blink twice to confirm that a valid code has been programmed.
5. Aim the remote control at the device that you programmed and press POWER. If the device turns off, you have
programmed the correct code. If the device does not turn off, return to step 2 and use the next four-digit code
for that brand and model.
6. Repeat the steps above to program the next device.
•If any other key is pressed besides a digit key during programming, the unit will display one long blink, exit
programming state, and restore the last preprogrammed code.
•Upon entry of an invalid key sequence or invalid code, the remote control will display one long blink and return
to the last preprogrammed code.
•The unit will exit programming state and return to the last preprogrammed code if 10 seconds have elapsed
between digit entries.
Standard Step-and-Set Programming:
If the device code for a particular brand is unknown, you will be able to cycle the remote through the available codes
for that device mode and sample functions from each code in order to find the code that operates the desired
device. The keys which are available to be sampled (provided they are applicable to that mode) are: 0, 1, 2, 3,
POWER, CHANNEL UP, VOLUME UP, PLAY and STOP. Invalid key presses will be ignored while in the programming
state. Follow the steps below to cycle through each available device code and sample its functions.
1. Manually turn on the device that you are trying to set up (TV, VCR, Cable/Satellite/Antenna, DVD, or Audio).
2. Press down and release the device “mode key”(TV, VCR, CBL/SAT/ANT, DVD, or AUD) on the remote control.
The red LED indicator will blink once.
3. Press down and hold the SETUP key until the red LED indicator blinks twice, then release.
4. Enter the digits 9, 9, 1. The red LED will blink twice. Press the first function you want to test, i.e., POWER. If
the device turns off, you have located the correct code. If the device does not turn off, press the “mode key”
again to go to the next code in the library. Repeat the procedure above until locating the correct code or until
you have gone through the entire code library.
5. When the correct code has been located, press SETUP and release. The red LED will blink twice, locking
in the code for that device.
6. Repeat the steps above to program the next device.
Note: The available functions within a code may be sampled as many times as desired until advancing to the next
code by pressing a specific device mode key. For the selected mode, the search will begin with the most
popular device code when no code is currently programmed or will begin with the current programmed code.
The search function has an end of cycle designator (LED will blink three times) to indicate when a cycle has
been completed. The unit will begin to cycle through the available codes again. The LED will light each time
a function is sent. If no key is pressed within 10 seconds, the remote will exit the setup mode and return
to the code previously set up before Step-and-Set was initiated. The unit will blink two times after successful
completion of the programming sequence.
•Upon entry of an invalid key sequence, the LED will display one long blink and return to normal operation.
•The unit will exit programming state and return to normal operation if 10 seconds have elapsed between
key presses.
Code Verification:
To find the four-digit device code that you have programmed in the remote, follow the procedure outlined below.
This is used to get feedback on the device code selected. The number of blinks that occur after pressing the
numeric keys 1,2,3 and 4 represents the 4-digit ID code set up for that mode. There is a 0.5-second delay
between each blink. There is also a 0.5-second time delay after each key press.
1. Press down and release the device “mode key”(TV, VCR, CBL/SAT/ANT, DVD or AUD) on the remote control.
2. Press down and hold the SETUP key until the red LED blinks twice, then release.
3. Enter the digits 9, 9, 0. The red LED indicator will blink twice. Press numbers 1, 2, 3, and 4, observing the
number of blinks after each number has been pressed. Write down the number for future use.
Note: The digit “0”will not blink.
Using Your JENSEN Remote Control:
After you have programmed the JENSEN Universal Remote Control for use with one or more devices, you are ready
to start using the remote. Follow the steps below to get acquainted with your remote.
1. Press the mode key of the component that you want to control (TV, VCR, CBL/SAT/ANT, DVD, or AUD).
2. Press the POWER key to turn on the component if it is not already on.
3. Press the key of the function you wish to perform. (See
Key Function Diagram for a complete listing of key
descriptions.)

Recoton Corporation (“Company”) warrants to the original retail purchaser of this product that should the product or any part thereof
be proven defective in material or workmanship within one year from the date of original purchase, such defects will be repaired or
replaced, at the Company’s option, without charge for parts or labor.
To obtain replacement within the terms of this warranty, the product should be delivered, transportation prepaid, to the Dealer where
purchased or to the Company, along with proof of date of purchase. Call 1-800-RECOTON to obtain information regarding the proce-
dure for proper return of your product, if your Dealer does not honor the warranty. This warranty is valid in the USA and Canada only.

Channel Scan searches by using two methods: sending the Channel Up command (if found), and by sending the
digits 0-9 for repeat cycling for a maximum of 10 iterations. The modes available for Channel Scan are TV, VCR,
CABLE, SATELLITE and DVD.
Note: If above MODES have been reassigned, Channel Scan is still valid. For example, if the TV has been reassigned
to VCR (TV2), pressing <TV2> <SCAN> will cause Channel Scan to activate. If a mode which does not allow
Channel Scan has been reassigned, i.e., VCR (CD2), pressing <CD2> <SCAN> will not cause Channel Scan to
activate, because CD is an invalid Channel Scan mode.
Sleep Timer
In the TV, SATELLITE, DVD and CABLE modes, the remote’s built-in sleep timer will be activated by pressing the
SLEEP key when the target device ID does not have a code for sleep. The first press of the SLEEP key will activate
a 15-minute timer. Additional key presses within 10 seconds will increase the timer value in 15-minute increments,
up to a maximum of 60 minutes. Fifth and subsequent key presses will be ignored and the timer will remain at 60
minutes.
Each key press is acknowledged by a series of blinks indicating how many increments have been programmed.
For example: one blink for the first press, two blinks for the second press, etc.
Sleep timer activates 10 seconds after the last press of the SLEEP key. The visible LED will blink approximately once
every 15 seconds to indicate that the timer is running. When running, the sleep timer is automatically canceled if
any other key on the keypad is pressed. Pressing the sleep key itself initializes the timer sequence to 15 minutes.
When the timer expires, the remote sends the target device’s power function, or power off when separate power
on and off commands exist.
If your device has a sleep timer function, you may still enable the built-in sleep timer by following the steps outlined
below.
1. Press the “mode key”of the component for which you want to set the sleep timer (TV, VCR, CBL/SAT/ANT,
or DVD).
2. Press down and hold the SETUP key until the red LED indicator blinks twice, then release.
3. Enter the digits 9, 7, 0. The red LED indicator will blink twice.
4. Press the SLEEP key once for 15 minutes, twice for 30 minutes, three times for 45 minutes and four times
for 60 minutes.
Resetting Sleep Timer to Factory Default
1. Press down and hold the SETUP key until the red LED blinks twice, then release.
2. Enter the digits 9, 7, 0. The red LED indicator will blink four times, indicating that the sleep timer has been
reset to the factory default.
Note: If the TV, SATELLITE or CABLE modes have been reassigned, Sleep Timer is still valid provided it is set up
on the logical mode. For example, if the TV has been reassigned to VCR (TV2), TV2 is programmed for
Sleep Timer. Pressing <TV2> <SLEEP> will cause Sleep Timer to activate.
Low Battery Condition
When the batteries installed in the remote become low on power, the remote will enter in a LOW BATTERY
CONDITION. While in the low voltage condition, the unit will not operate. This is to protect RAM and user
settings. When new batteries are installed, full operation will be restored. The typical duration is 10 minutes.
Stuck Key Time Out
The remote will stop transmitting IR to conserve power upon any key depressed for longer than 30 seconds.

Key Description:
1. Red LED Indicator –This light will turn on or
blink depending on the function that you are
performing. The instructions in this manual
will explain the normal operation.
2. POWER –Turns the selected device
on or off.
3. SCAN –Automatically changes channels
every 3 seconds.
4. TV/VCR –Selects inputs on TV, VCR,
Cable/Satellite, or DVD.
5. CHANNEL UP (Skip Forward) –Press this
key to move up one channel. When in DVD
or CD mode, press this key to move up one
track.
6. FAST FORWARD –Fast-forwards
a videotape, CD, or DVD.
7. PLAY –Press this key to start or resume
playing videotape, CD or DVD.
8. STOP –Press this key to stop the playback,
recording, rewinding or fast-forwarding of a
videotape. In CD or DVD mode, press this
key to stop the playback of a CD or DVD.
9. CHANNEL DOWN (Skip Back) –Press this
key to move down one channel. When in
DVD or CD mode, press this key to move
down one track.
10. LAST –Also known as “channel recall.”
Press this key to switch to the last channel
that you were viewing. In CD or DVD mode,
press this key to repeat a CD or DVD track
or for random play.
11. RECORD –Press this key to start recording
a program.
Note: As an added safety feature, you must
press the RECORD key twice in order to start
recording.
12. MUTE –Press this key to mute the sound.
13. VOLUME (-) –Press this key to decrease
the volume level.
14. PAUSE –Press this key to pause the
recording or playback of a videotape.
Press again to resume recording or play-
back. In CD or DVD mode, press this key to
pause the playback of a CD or DVD.
15. REWIND –Press this key to rewind
a videotape, CD or DVD.
16. VOLUME UP (+) –Press this key to increase
the volume level.
17. SLEEP –Press this key to activate the
automatic sleep timer.
18. FAVORITE CHANNEL –Press this key to access
favorite channel mode of Cable Box and
Satellite Receiver.
19. INFO –Press this key to access the on-
screen information menu function of the
TV, VCR, Cable Box, Satellite Receiver,
or DVD player.
20. MENU –Press this key to access the
on-screen menu of the TV, VCR, Cable
Box, Satellite Receiver, or DVD.
21. Menu Right ( ) –Press this key to navigate
on-screen menu functions to the right.
22. Menu Down ( ▼) - Press this key to
navigate on-screen menu functions down.
23. SELECT –Press this key to select an option
while in on-screen menu mode.
24. Menu Left ( ) - Press this key to navigate
on-screen menu functions to the left.
25. Menu Up ( ▲) - Press this key to navigate
on-screen menu functions up.
26. GUIDE - Press this key to access the on-
screen menu guide function of the Cable Box,
Satellite Receiver, and some CD players.
27. EXIT –Press this key to exit the on-screen
menu display.
28. 0 –9 Keys –Press these keys for direct key
entry. In CD or DVD mode, press these keys
to select a track. In Receiver mode, press
these keys to select source input.
29. ENTER –In menu mode, press to select
an option. Otherwise, press this key to enter
in a channel. In CD or DVD mode, press this
after entering a track number.
30. SETUP –Press this key to enter the setup
mode.
31. Mode Keys (TV, VCR, CBL/SAT/ANT, DVD
and AUD) –Press these keys to select device
mode (TV, VCR, Cable/Satellite/ Antenna,
DVD, or Audio).
NOTES: 1. Volume and Mute will punch through to TV by default. When the volume is unlocked,
all the devices will have their own volume if their ID has volume data.
2. Will punch through to VCR.

Control Features:
Record
To prevent accidental recording over videotape,
the new line of JENSEN remotes requires that the
RECORD key be pressed twice in order to begin
recording.
Mode Reassignment
This feature allows you to reassign a selected
device mode key (TV, VCR, CBL/SAT/ANT, DVD
or AUD) to the desired device mode key. For
example, a VCR device mode key (destination
mode) can be changed to an additional TV device
mode key (source mode) to facilitate the operation
of two different TVs. Follow the steps below for
best results.
1. Press down and hold the SETUP key until
the red LED blinks twice, then release.
2. Enter the digits 9, 9, 2. The red LED indicator
will blink twice.
3. Press the source “mode key”, i.e., TV, VCR,
CBL/SAT/ANT, DVD or AUD.
4. Press the destination “mode key”, i.e., TV,
VCR, CBL/SAT/ANT, DVD or AUD.
Note: The ID in the destination mode now is the
default ID of the source mode, i.e., VCR
mode could become TV2. The unit will blink
twice after successful completion of the
programming sequence.
5. Pressing the same mode key twice after entering
9, 9, 2, will return key to original mode.
Volume Lock/Unlock
Note: This feature does not apply to any device
keys which have been copied using the key copier
feature.
The volume controls (VOLUME ▲, VOLUME ▼and
MUTE) on the remote can be configured in one of
three ways:
1. They can be assigned to control a single device
regardless of which device mode key is
pressed. For example, if the volume controls
are "locked" to the TV, pressing the volume
controls will adjust the TV volume even if the
remote is in VCR mode.
2. The controls can control each individual device.
For instance, the volume controls will adjust
the TV volume when the remote is in TV mode,
and the cable (or satellite) volume when in
CBL/SAT mode.
3. The volume controls can be assigned to control
a single device (as in the first example) then
"unlocked" for individual device modes you
choose. For example, you want the volume
controls to affect only the TV if you are in the
TV or VCR modes, but you want the volume
controls to affect your cable box if you change
to the CBL/SAT mode.
Note: The remote ships from the factory with the
volume controls assigned to control the TV regard-
less of selected device mode (case 1 above).
To "unlock" the volume controls (case 2 above):
1. Press and hold the SETUP key until the red
LED light blinks once, pauses and blinks twice
more. Then release the key.
2. Enter the digits 9, 9, 3. The red LED light will
blink twice after pressing the 3key.
To "lock" the volume controls to a particular device
(case 1 above):
1. Press and hold the SETUP key until the red LED
light blinks once, pauses, and blinks twice
more. Then release the key.
2. Enter the digits 9, 9, 3. The red LED light will
blink twice after pressing the 3key.
3. Press the device key (e.g. TV, VCR, CBL/SAT)
for the device you want to assign the volume
controls to. The red LED will blink four times
to confirm the volume controls are locked.
To "unlock" the volume controls for a particular
device (case 3 above):
1. Press the DEVICE key for the mode you wish
to unlock.
2. Press and hold the SETUP key until the red LED
light blinks once, pauses, and blinks twice
more. Then release the key.
3. Enter the digits 9, 9, 3. The red LED light will
blink twice after pressing the 3 key.
4. Press the VOLUME ▼key. The red LED will blink
four times the volume controls have been
unlocked for that mode.
Channel Scan
For convenient “channel surfing,”press the SCAN
key. This activates the remote to change channels
once every three seconds until any key is pressed
or until 100 channel changes occur.

Introducción
Gracias por seleccionar un control remoto universal JENSEN. La nueva línea de controles remoto universales
JENSEN ha sido diseñada pensando en el cliente. Meses de investigación de mercados y grupos muestras
elegidos nos ayudaron a desarrollar un control remoto correcto ergonómicamente con las últimas
características y beneficios para mejorar su experiencia como televidente.
Antes de usar por primera vez su nuevo control remoto JENSEN, debe leer las instrucciones detenidamente
e instalar un juego de dos pilas "AA" (no incluidas). Este manual estáescrito para el uso de los modelos JR300,
JR400 y JR500. Sírvase observar que todas las funciones están disponibles en todos los modelos.
Instalación de las pilas:
1. Localice la tapa del compartimiento para pilas al reverso del control remoto.
2. Jale hacia abajo la palanca de la tapa para abrir el compartimiento para pilas.
3. Coloque dos pilas "AA", asegurándose de que los signos "+" y "-" en las pilas coincidan con el
diagrama dentro del compartimiento para pilas.
4. Puede probar las pilas presionando cualquiera de las "teclas de modos": TV, VCR, CBL/SAT/ANT
(cable/satélite/antena), DVD y Audio. El indicador LED rojo debe parpadear una vez.
Nota: Su control remoto universal JENSEN cuenta con memoria de respaldo integrada que le permite retirar
las pilas del compartimiento durante 10 minutos sin perder la información programada. Si espera más
de 10 minutos para cambiar las pilas, quizás deba reprogramar los códigos universales.
Programación del control remoto:
Existen dos métodos disponibles para programar su nuevo control remoto. El primer método es la
"Programación manual"; el segundo método es la "Programación estándar paso a paso". Sírvase seleccionar
el método que más le convenga.
Programación manual:
Localice los códigos de cuatro dígitos correspondientes a su aparato y marca en la lista incluida en este
manual. Observaráque hay más de un código de cuatro dígitos para algunos aparatos al lado de algunas
marcas. Esto es el resultado de que muchos fabricantes usan distintos códigos para distintos modelos.
Una vez que haya localizado los códigos que va a utilizar, Ud. estálisto para comenzar a programar su
control remoto. Sírvase seguir los pasos a continuación para obtener mejores resultados.
1. Encienda manualmente el aparato que trata de programar (TV, VCR, Cable/Satélite/Antena, DVD o Audio).
2. Presione y suelte la "tecla de modo" del aparato (TV, VCR, CBL/SAT/ANT, DVD o AUD) en el control remoto.
El indicador LED rojo parpadearáuna vez.
3. Presione y mantenga presionada la tecla SETUP hasta que el indicador LED rojo parpadee dos veces, luego
suéltela.
4. Ingrese el primer código de cuatro dígitos del aparato que desea programar. El indicador LED parpadeará
una vez al ingresar cada uno de los dígitos con la excepción del último dígito, donde parpadearádos veces
para confirmar que se ha programado un código válido.
5. Apunte el control remoto hacia el aparato que programóy presione POWER. Si el aparato se apaga, Ud.
ha programado el código correcto. Si el aparato no se apaga, vuelva al paso 2 y utilice el siguiente código
de cuatro dígitos para esa marca y ese modelo.
6. Repita los pasos antes mencionados para programar el siguiente aparato.
•Si durante la programación se presiona alguna otra tecla además de las teclas de dígitos, la unidad se
iluminarápor largo rato, saldráde la condición de programación, y volveráal último código programado.
•Al ingresar una secuencia de teclas incorrecta, el indicador LED se iluminarápor largo rato, saldráde
la condición de programación, y volveráal último código programado.
•Si transcurren más de 10 segundos entre la entrada de cada dígito, la unidad saldráde la condición
de programación y volveráal último código programado.
Programación estándar paso a paso:
Si se desconoce el código del aparato para una marca en particular, Ud. podrárecorrer el control remoto
a través de los códigos disponibles para el modo de ese aparato y probar las funciones de cada código para
encontrar el código que haga funcionar el aparato deseado. Las teclas disponibles para prueba (siempre y
cuando sean aplicables a ese modo) son: 0, 1, 2, 3, POWER, CHANNEL UP, VOLUME UP, PLAY y STOP.
Las teclas inválidas serán ignoradas durante la condición de programación. Siga los siguientes pasos para
recorrer los códigos del aparato disponibles y probar sus funciones.
1. Encienda manualmente el aparato que desea programar (TV, VCR, Cable/Satélite/Antena, DVD o Audio).
2. Presione y suelte la "tecla de modo" del aparato deseado (TV, VCR, CBL/SAT/ANT, DVD o AUD) en el
control remoto. El indicador LED rojo parpadearáuna vez.
3. Presione y mantenga presionada la tecla SETUP hasta que el indicador LED rojo parpadee dos veces,
luego suéltela.
4. Ingrese los dígitos 9, 9, 1. El indicador LED rojo parpadearádos veces. Presione la primera función que
desea probar, es decir, POWER. Si el aparato se apaga, Ud. ha encontrado el código correcto. Si el aparato
no se apaga, presione nuevamente la "tecla de modo" para pasar al siguiente código en el archivo de
códigos. Repita el procedimiento antes mencionado hasta encontrar el código correcto o hasta que haya
recorrido todo el archivo de códigos.
5. Cuando haya localizado el código correcto, presione la tecla SETUP y suéltela. El indicador LED rojo
parpadearádos veces, guardando el código para ese aparato.
6. Repita los pasos antes mencionados para programar el siguiente aparato.
Nota: Puede probar las funciones disponibles en un código las veces que lo desee hasta llegar al siguiente
código presionando la tecla de modo del aparato específico. Para el modo seleccionado, la búsqueda comienza
con el código del aparato más utilizado cuando no haya ningún código programado, o comienza con el código
que estéprogramado en ese momento. La función de búsqueda cuenta con un indicador de término de ciclo
(LED parpadearátres veces) para indicar el momento en que el ciclo termina. La unidad comienza a recorrer
nuevamente los códigos disponibles. El LED se ilumina cada vez que se activa una función. Si no se presiona
ninguna tecla dentro de los 10 segundos, el control remoto sale del modo SETUP y vuelve al código anterior,
programado antes de iniciar la Programación paso a paso. El indicador de la unidad parpadearádos veces
después de completar correctamente la secuencia de programación.
•Al ingresar una secuencia de teclas incorrecta, el indicador LED se iluminarápor largo rato y volveráa la
operación normal.
•La unidad sale de la condición de programación y vuelve a la operación normal después de transcurridos
10 segundos al presionar cada tecla.
Bloqueo/desbloqueo del volumen
Nota: Esta función no puede utilizarse con ninguna tecla de dispositivos copiada mediante la función de copiado
de teclas.
Las teclas de control de volumen (VOLUME ▲, VOLUME ▼and MUTE) del control remoto pueden ser
configuradas en una de estas tres maneras:
1. Pueden ser asignadas para controlar un único dispositivo, independientemente de quétecla de dispositivo
se oprima. Por ejemplo, si los controles de volumen están "bloqueados" en el modo de TV (televisor), al
oprimir los mismos se ajustaráel volumen del televisor, aunque el control remoto estéen el modo de VCR
(videocasetera).
2. Pueden controlar cada dispositivo individual. Por ejemplo, los controles ajustan el volumen del televisor
cuando el control remoto estáen modo de TV, y el volumen del cable (o satélite) cuando estáen modo
de CBL/SAT (cable/antena/receptor satelital).
3. Pueden ser asignadas para controlar un único dispositivo (como en el primer ejemplo) y luego ser
"desbloqueadas" para los modos de los dispositivos individuales que usted elija. Por ejemplo, en el caso en
que usted desee que las teclas de control de volumen afecten sólo el televisor si estáen los modos de TV
o VCR, pero también desea que dichas teclas afecten su convertidor de cable si cambia al modo CBL/SAT.
Nota: Los controles se envían desde la fábrica con las teclas de control de volumen asignadas al televisor,
independientemente del modo de dispositivo seleccionado (caso 1 anterior).
Cómo "desbloquear" los controles de volumen (ejemplo 2 anterior):
1. Mantenga oprimida la tecla SETUP (configurar) hasta que la luz roja del LED destelle una vez, haga una
pausa y destelle dos veces más. Después, suelte la tecla.
2. Ingrese los dígitos 9, 9, y 3. La luz roja del LED destellarádos veces después de oprimir la tecla 3.
3. Oprima la tecla VOLUME ▲(subir volumen). La luz roja del LED destellarácuatro veces para confirmar
el desbloqueo de los controles de volumen.
Cómo "bloquear" los controles de volumen para un dispositivo particular (ejemplo 1 anterior):
1. Mantenga oprimida la tecla SETUP (configurar) hasta que la luz roja del LED destelle una vez, haga una
pausa y destelle dos veces más. Después, suelte la tecla.
2. Ingrese los dígitos 9, 9, y 3. La luz roja del LED destellarádos veces después de oprimir la tecla 3.
3. Oprima la tecla de dispositivo (por ejemplo TV, VCR, CBL/SAT) correspondiente al dispositivo al que desea
asignar los controles de volumen. La luz roja del LED destellarácuatro veces para confirmar el bloqueo
del control de volumen.
Cómo "desbloquear" los controles de volumen para un dispositivo particular (caso 3 anterior):
1. Oprima la tecla de DISPOSITIVO correspondiente al modo que desea desbloquear.
2. Mantenga oprimida la tecla SETUP (configurar) hasta que la luz roja del LED destelle una vez, haga una
pausa y destelle dos veces más. Después, suelte la tecla.
3. Ingrese los dígitos 9, 9, y 3. La luz roja del LED destellarádos veces después de oprimir la tecla 3.
4. Oprima la tecla VOLUME ▼ (bajar volumen). La luz roja del LED destellarácuatro veces para confirmar
que los controles de volumen se han desbloqueado para ese modo.
Explorador de canales
Para "navegar por los canales" cómodamente, presione la tecla SCAN. Esta tecla activa el control remoto
para cambiar los canales cada tres segundos hasta presionar alguna de las teclas o después de recorrer las
100 opciones de canales. El Explorador de canales busca utilizando dos métodos: enviando la orden Channel
Up (Siguiente canal) (si se encuentra), y enviando los dígitos 0-9 para un ciclo repetitivo de un máximo de
10 repeticiones. Los modos disponibles para el Explorador de canales son TV, VCR, CABLE, SATÉLITE y DVD.
Nota: Si los MODOS arriba mencionados han sido reasignados, el Explorador de canales sigue siendo válido.
Por ejemplo, si el televisor ha sido reasignado a VCR (TV2), presionando <TV2> <SCAN> se activará
el Explorador de canales. Si se ha reasignado un modo que no permite la función de Explorador de
canales, por ejemplo, VCR (CD2), presionando <CD2> <SCAN> no activaráel Explorador de canales,
porque CD no es un modo válido para Explorador de canales.
Temporizador
En los modos TV, SATÉLITE, DVD y CABLE, el temporizador integrado del control remoto se activará
presionando la tecla SLEEP cuando la ID del aparato no tenga un código para el temporizador. Presionando
una vez la tecla SLEEP se activa el temporizador en 15 minutos. Si se presiona la tecla más veces dentro
de los 10 segundos se aumenta el valor del temporizador en incrementos de 15 minutos respectivamente,
hasta un máximo de 60 minutos. La quinta o las veces siguientes que se presione la tecla serán ignoradas
y el temporizador permaneceráen 60 minutos.
Cada vez que presiona la tecla se produce una serie de parpadeos que indican cuántos incrementos de tiempo
han sido programados. Por ejemplo: un parpadeo al presionar la primera vez, dos parpadeos al presionar dos
veces, etc.
El temporizador se activa 10 segundos después de la última vez que presionóla tecla SLEEP. El indicador
LED visible parpadearáaproximadamente una vez cada 15 segundos para indicar que el temporizador está
activado. Cuando estáactivado, el temporizador se cancela automáticamente al presionar cualquier otra tecla
del control. Al presionar únicamente la tecla SLEEP, se inicia la secuencia del temporizador en 15 minutos.
Cuando se desactiva la función del temporizador, el control remoto envía una señal a la función de encendido
del aparato, o apagado cuando existen mandos separados de encendido y apagado.
Aunque su aparato tenga la función de temporizador, Ud. podráactivar el temporizador integrado del control
remoto siguiendo los pasos indicados a continuación.
1. Presione la "tecla de modo" del componente en el que desea activar el temporizador (TV, VCR,
CBL/SAT/ANT, o DVD).
2. Presione y mantenga presionada la tecla SETUP hasta que el indicador LED rojo parpadee dos veces,
luego suéltela.
3. Ingrese los dígitos 9, 7, 0. El indicador LED rojo parpadearádos veces.
4. Presione la tecla SLEEP una vez para 15 minutos, dos veces para 30 minutos, tres veces para
45 minutos y cuatro veces para 60 minutos.
Reprogramación del Temporizador a la definición de fábrica
1. Presione y mantenga presionada la tecla SETUP hasta que el indicador LED rojo parpadee dos veces,
luego suéltela.
2. Ingrese los dígitos 9, 7, 0. El indicador LED rojo parpadearácuatro veces, indicando que el temporizador
ha sido cambiado a su definición de fábrica.
Nota: Si los modos TV, SATÉLITE o CABLE han sido reasignados, el temporizador seguirásiendo válido
siempre que se programe en el modo lógico. Por ejemplo, si el televisor ha sido reasignado a VCR
(TV2), TV2 estáprogramado para Temporizador. Presionando <TV2> <SLEEP> se activa el temporizador
Condición pilas bajas
Cuando las pilas del control remoto están bajas, el control entra en CONDICIÓN PILAS BAJAS. La unidad no
funciona cuando se encuentra con baja tensión. Esto es con el fin de proteger el RAM y la configuración del
usuario. Al instalar las pilas nuevas, se restablece el funcionamiento. La duración general en esta condición
es de 10 minutos.
Desactivación por presión prolongada de tecla
El control remoto deja de transmitir rayos infrarrojos para conservar la energía cuando se presiona cualquier
tecla por más de 30 segundos.
Verificación de códigos:
Para encontrar el código de cuatro dígitos
del aparato que ha programado en su control
remoto, siga el procedimiento que aparece a
continuación. Este se usa para obtener datos
sobre el código del aparato seleccionado. La
cantidad de parpadeos del indicador después
de presionar las teclas numéricas 1, 2, 3 y 4
representa la programación del código de ID
de cuatro dígitos para ese modo. Hay un inter-
valo de 0,5 segundos entre cada parpadeo.
También hay un intervalo de 0,5 segundos
entre la presión de cada tecla.
1. Presione y suelte la "tecla de modo"
del aparato (TV, VCR, CBL/SAT/ANT,
DVD o AUD) en el control remoto.
2. Presione y mantenga presionada la tecla
SETUP hasta que el indicador LED rojo
parpadee dos veces, luego suéltela.
3. Ingrese los dígitos 9, 9, 0. El indicador LED
rojo parpadearádos veces. Presione los
números 1, 2, 3 y 4 observando el número
de parpadeos después de haber presiona-
do cada número. Anote el número para
usarlo en el futuro.
Nota: El dígito "0" no parpadeará.
Utilización de su con-
trol remoto JENSEN:
Después de haber programado el control
remoto universal JENSEN para utilizarlo con
uno o más aparatos, Ud. estálisto para
usarlo en cualquier momento. Siga los pasos
que aparecen a continuación para familia
rizarse con su control remoto.
1. Presione la “tecla de modo”del
componente que desea controlar
(TV, VCR, CBL/SAT/ANT, DVD o AUD).
2. Presione la tecla POWER para encender
el componente si aún no estáencendido.
3. Presione la tecla de la función que desea
realizar.

teclas:
1. Indicador LED rojo: –Esta luz se enciende
o parpadea dependiendo de la función que

seleccionado.
3. SCAN: Cambia de canal automáticamente
cada 3 segundos.
4. TV/VCR: Selecciona las entradas en el
Televisor, la video casetera, Cable/Satélite

5. CHANNEL UP: (Salto hacia adelante):
Presione esta tecla para avanzar al

6. FAST FORWARD: Adelanta un vídeo,

un canal. Cuando estéen modo DVD

10.LAST: También conocido como "Canal
previo". Presione esta tecla para ir al
último canal que estuvo viendo. En los
modos CD o DVD, presione esta tecla
para repetir una pista de CD o DVD

comenzar a grabar un programa.
Nota: Como medida de seguridad, debe

Funciones adicionales
del control remoto:
Grabación
Para evitar sobre grabar accidentalmente un
vídeo, la nueva línea de controles remoto de
JENSEN requiere que se presione dos veces
la tecla RECORD para comenzar a grabar.
Reasignación de modos
Esta función le permite reasignar una tecla
de modo del aparato seleccionado (TV, VCR,
CBL/SAT/ANT, DVD o AUD) a la tecla de modo
del aparato deseado. Por ejemplo, una tecla de
modo del aparato VCR (modo destino) puede
ser cambiada a una tecla de modo del aparato
de TV adicional (modo fuente) para facilitar la
operación de dos televisores distintos. Siga los
pasos que aparecen a continuación para obtener
mejores resultados.
1. Presione y mantenga presionada la tecla
SETUP hasta que el indicador LED rojo
parpadee dos veces, luego suéltela.
2. Ingrese los dígitos 9, 9, 2. El indicador LED
rojo parpadearádos veces.
3. Presione la "tecla de modo" fuente, es decir,
TV, VCR, CBL/SAT/ANT, DVD o AUD.
4. Presione la "tecla de modo" destino, es decir,
TV, VCR, CBL/SAT/ANT, DVD o AUD.
Nota: La ID en el modo destino ahora constituye
la ID por defecto del modo fuente, es
decir, el modo VCR puede convertirse
en TV2. La unidad parpadearádos veces
después de completar correctamente la
secuencia de programación.
5. Al presionar dos veces la misma tecla de
modo después de ingresar 9, 9, 2, la tecla
vuelve al modo original.
