C o o lin g E f fic ie n c y C o n s id e r a t io n s :
The outer shellofyour JL Audio amplifier
isdesigned to remove heatfrom the amplifier
circuitry.Foroptimum cooling performance,
this outershellshould be exposed to aslarge a
volume ofairas possible.Enclosing the amplifier
in a small, poorly ventilated chamber can
lead to excessive heatbuild-up and degraded
performance.Ifan installation calls foran
enclosure around the amplifier,we recommend
thatthis enclosure be ventilated with the aid
ofa fan.In normalapplications,fan-cooling
isnotnecessary.
Mounting the amplifier upside down is
strongly discouraged.
Ifmounting the amplifier under a seat,
make sure there is atleast1 inch (2.5 cm)of
space above the amplifier’soutershellto permit
propercooling.
S a f e t y C o n s id e r a t io n s :
Youramplifierneedsto be installed in a dry,
well-ventilated environmentand in a manner
which does notinterfere with yourvessel’sfactory
installed electronic devices. You should also take
the time to securely mountthe amplifierso that
itdoesnotcome loose in the eventofa collision/

• Do notrun system wiring outside orunderneath
the vessel.Thisis an extremely dangerous
practice which can resultin severe damage to
yourvesseland person.
• Protectallsystem wiresfrom sharp edges
(metal,fiberglass,etc.)by carefully routing
them, tying them down and using grommets
and loom where appropriate.
• Do notmountthe amplifier in the engine
