PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION:
Consider the most convenient location to mount the V-12/AWE. Use the PVC
junction box (supplied), mounted atop a PVC conduit through which the wires
will run. Count the number of pairs of 4-ohm speakers and the number of pairs
of 8-ohm speakers you are connecting. Count pairs of 6-ohm speakers as 4-ohm
pairs. Determine the correct switch position from the impedance charts in the
owner’s manual.
INSTALLATION:
1. Identify the Speaker wire and Amplifier wire. Label the wires for
future reference.
2. Run the necessary wiring up through the conduit and the opening at the base
of the enclosure.
3. Mount the entire enclosure atop the PVC conduit. Secure the enclosure with
galvanized mounting screws.
4. Strip 1/4" of insulation from the end of each wire. Tightly twist the end of
each wire until no frayed ends remain.
5. Locate the Snap and lock connectors and remove them if they are plugged in.
6. Use a small flathead screwdriver or your thumb to raise the locking tabs,
exposing the holes on the connector.
7. Insert each wire into the appropriate hole and snap down the locking tabs.
8. Insert the smooth side of the connector plug into the smooth side of the
V-12/AWE socket.
9. Install the V-12/AWE into the all-weather enclosure.
10. Set the Impedance Magnification Switch as determined by the
impedance charts.
11. Set the switches, on all of the controls, to the same position (1x, 2x, 4x, or 8x).
12. Fasten the cover plate.
