1 Removeallpackagingpriortotoasting.
2 Ifthetoasterstartstosmoke,Pressthe‘Cancel’buttontostop
 toastingimmediately.
3 Onlyusethetoasterfordrybread.Donotbutterbreadbefore
 toasting.
4 Neverattempttodislodgebreadtrappedintheslotswithout
 unpluggingthetoasterrst.Removebreadcarefully.
Thetoastermayemitametallicodourthersttimeitisused.Thisis
normalandwillnotcontinue.Runthetoasteronceortwiceandallow
ittocoolagainbeforeusingittotoastbread.
1 Plugthepowercordintotheoutlet.
2 Setthecolourcontroldialtoyourdesiredtoastcolour.Thereare
seven settings, from the lightest to the darkest level of toasting
 (seeDiagram1).Toachieveagoldencolour,setthedialinthemiddle.

Note:Toastingasingleslicewillrequirealowersettingthantwoslices.
Ifyouareusingthetoastermorethanoncecontinuously,laterslices
willtoastmorequicklyasthedevicewarmsup.
3 Pressdownthecarriagehandleuntilitlatchesinplace.The‘Cancel’
 lightwillcomeonandtheappliancewillbegintoasting.Note:The
 carriagehandlecanonlybelatchedwhentheapplianceispluggedin.
4 Oncethebreadhastoastedaccordingtoyourchosensetting,the
 carriagehandlewillpopup(seeDiagram2).Youcanpressthe
 ‘Cancel’buttonatanytimetostoptoastingbutdonotattemptto
 liftthecarriagehandletoendtheprocess.
5 Totoastfrozenbread,rstpressthe‘Defrost’button,thensetthe
 colourdialtoyourdesiredlevel.
6 Totoastonlyonesideofasliceofbread,setthecolourlevel,then
 pressthe‘Reheat’button.Theindicatorlightwillcomeonandthe
 toastingprocesswillcontinueasusual.
7 Toensureauniformbreadcolour,wait30secondsbeforetoasting
 againsothatthecolourcontrolcanreset.
