General Information
Read this manual before using this product.

Indicates a hazardous situation that, if not avoided,
could result in death or serious injury.
• Do not overll - maximum capacity is 17 gallons.
• Do not use for ammable liquids.
• Personnel should wear proper personal protection equipment and clothing.
• Keep the drain port clear of grease and dirt.
• Monitor the uid level when lling the drain to prevent overow or spillage.
• Use care when rolling the oil drain when full to prevent splashing or spillage.
• When transporting the drain, keep the electric cord wrapped on the cord
bracket.
Do not use pump if cord is damaged in any way.
• Periodically inspect the screen for debris preventing the ow of oil.
• Do not run pump dry. Electric pump is not self-lubricating.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Remove screen from JDI-17PLP. Flip drain over.
2. Remove and discard the hose and ball valve from
bottom port of drain. Keep hose clamp.
3. Mount electric pump [1] to bracket, making sure
inlet port is facing drain port, using the 1/4” hex
nuts [2] and 1/4” bolts [3] with 7/16” wrench
(Figure 1).
4. Check size of drain port:
a. If drain port is 1/2”: Attach 1/2” ID x 8” drain
hose [4] to port. Slip 1/2” hose clamp [6] and
hose clamp from step 2 over hose. Attach 3/8”
hose barb tting [5] to pump inlet port,
tightening with adjustable wrench. Tighten
hose clamps on each end of hose with at
head screwdriver.
b. If drain port is 1”: Attach 1” ID x 9” hose [7]
tting to pump inlet port, tighten with adjust-
able wrench (Figure 2). Place hose clamp
from step 2 onto hose. Insert the hose over
the drain port. Tighten clamp with at head
screwdriver.
5. Attach 3/4” GHT x 3/4” NPT tting [8] to pump
outlet port. Tighten with adjustable wrench.
6. Attach 90° barb tting [9], turn until barb is tight
and pointing left (Figure 3).
7. Attach 19mm ID x 28cm hose [10] to barb using a
1” hose clamp [11] and at head screwdriver.
8. Flip drain back over and replace screen onto
drain. Wrap pump cord around cord wrap bracket
(Figure 4).
9. Attach 3/4” ball valve [12] to hose tting. Tighten
with adjustable wrenches.
10. Assemble 3/4” NPT x 3/4” hose barb tting [13]
onto drain hose with J-Hook [14] using 1” hose
clamp [11], tighten with at head screwdriver.

OPERATION
TO FILL:
1. Position the drain under the vehicle being serviced and drain uid into
the drain.
TO EMPTY:
1. Position the drain by the used uid container.
2. Hook the drain hose into a container port.
3. Plug the electric motor into a 110V outlet to start.
4. When empty, unplug the pump. Do not run the pump while the drain
is empty; the electric pump is not self-lubricating.
