2. Connect to Power
Connection to a PC is necessary to power the JPL Companion Lite.
Plug the mini USB cable into the mini USB port on the JPL Companion
Lite, and connect the other end of the USB cable into the USB port on
your PC. The ‘mute’ indicator will blink twice.

3. Connect to a Desk Phone
Make sure that the telephone cord is plugged into the telephone port
on the JPL Companion Lite, and then connect the other end of the
telephone cord into the headset port on the desk phone.

4. Operating Guide
4.2 If you are using the JPL Companion Lite with a deskphone then
you may need to adjust the telephone compatibility switch to
position ‘1’ or ‘2’ until a dial tone can be heard on the headset.
4.3 Make a test call to a colleague to test your speaking volume.

4.2 Select either PC or desk phone (TEL) mode.

4.4 Adjust the speaker volume on the JPL Companion Lite by rolling
the Speaker Volume Control.
4.5 Press the Mute button to mute the headset microphone. The Mute
indicator will be ON. To un-mute the headset microphone, press
the Mute button again. The Mute indicator will go OFF.

4.4 Adjust the microphone volume control on the side of the
JPL Companion Lite.

An additional headset can be connected to the supervisor port on the
unit. It has the same function as the default headset. Microphone mute
switch for supervisor is located on the base of the unit.

WARRANTY
Your JPL Telecom product has been carefully manufactured and 100% tested using high quality assured
components. It is guaranteed against faulty workmanship and materials for a period of 24 months from the date
of purchase. In the unlikely event that a failure should occur, please contact the JPL Telecom dealer from which
you purchased this product or visit www.jpltele.com and follow our product returns procedure. You will be
given a RMA number and instructions on how to return your headset.

Note: Removing the factory-applied warranty label on the base of the unit will void the warranty. Specically
exempt from warranty are limited-life consumable components subject to normal wear and tear. Your statutory
rights under common law are in no way aected by this guarantee. The warranty does not cover cosmetic damage
or damage due to misuse, abuse, negligence, acts of nature, accident, disassembling or modication of, or to any
part of, the product. The warranty does not cover damage due to improper operation, maintenance or installation,
or attempted repair by anyone other than JPL Telecom. Any unauthorised repairs will void this warranty.
LIMITED WARRANTY
Consequential and incidental damages, including without limitation, loss of property and those arising from
breach of any express or implied warranty, are not the responsibility of JPL Telecom and to the extent permitted
by law, are excluded.
In accordance with its policy of progressive product design, JPL Telecom reserves the right to change product
specications without prior notice.
Repair or replacement is at the discretion of the manufacturer.
